It was my first time visiting Teso Life and I will 100% be coming back soon! Upon entering, it was very well organized and clean. There's so many selections of blind boxes, Japanese snacks/skincare, claw machines and home essentials. I bought a Panda Roll blind box and to my surprise it was priced normally at around $15. There were so many cute blind box selections, I resisted buying everything! There are many reasonably priced snacks! I found many tasty candies for $1-2! The viral mango and peach ice cream was available and cheaper around $4 than at HEB which was $8. You definitely won't get bored if you visit Teso Life!
Teso Life is a a casual Japanese-style casual lifestyle store that offers everything from snacks to toys and beauty products to household goods. I find it similar to Daiso but with slightly higher prices and much more variety. This store is located at West on West (WoW) on Westheimer which holds several Asian-centric businesses like KBBQ, Japanese sushi, cake and bakery shops, and more. The store is quite large and the aisles are decent sized when it comes to comfortably shopping. You'll see lots of shoppers that come and go in groups whether they're family or friends, but all are very shop curious, as Teso has such a variety of items. It takes time to explore all the things but it is fun to discover unique items you likely won't find elsewhere. The aisles are very well stocked with sweet and savory snacks like cookies, crackers, chips, nuts, dried seafood, chocolates, candies, ice cream etc. They also have a huge wall of specialty drinks in the far back, where you'll also find things like 3D puzzles and toys that are not typical. There's also a row of claw arcade machines in the back so have your hand at the claw if you'd like. There's also a wide variety of beauty items that are Japanese heavy including face masks, mascara, fake lashes, hair dye, and lip sticks. Stationary that is cute and useful is also in abundance. Overall, it's a fun store to shop and stock up on some useful household items and some hard-to-find goods that are great for yourself or a gift to others.
Great shopping experience for the Asian lover! It's a Daiso, Hmart and cosmetic store all rolled into one. We spent so much time walking every single aisle. The selection was amazing! Aisles and aisles of lotions, cremes and makeup with trial samples for you to try. Loads of snacks and drinks. Candy and collectibles. There is also home accessories, home care products and stationery items. All very low priced. We bought so many things! I wish there was a location in Chicago!
The way I got lost in here from the amount of goodies is unreal! Teso Life has anything you could want from imported snacks, beauty, toys / knick knacks, foods from Japan and Korea! I stocked up on beauty supplies and snacks and still felt like I needed more time in there! The store is bright and clean, the staff is very helpful if you're looking for anything in particular. I can't wait to go back again and dive deeper!
Love going here to feed my daughter and I's Sanrio addiction. You can't beat $1.25 for Sanrio stationary. This store is super organized and clean and the customer service is awesome. I also like how they have the claw machines toward the back and lots and lots of snack options. Definitely come by here if you want a one of a kind shopping experience.
My youngest daughter wanted to shop here for Christmas gifts and I went with her to check out the store. I was so impressed with the large varieties and organization of the Asian products. The store was so clean. I believe most of the products were Japanese since most only had Japanese characters with no English writing. I didn't buy anything, but I had fun just going up and down each aisle checking out the products. This store literally sold everything except fresh proteins, veggies, and fruits. It was like a superior version of a US drug store and gift shop combo without a prescription drug department. My daughter brought what she needed and I had a good time sightseeing.
I go to Teso every month or so to re-stock on shampoo, conditioner, Asian snacks, and see what kind of new off-brand Lego sets they've got on display. It's a really fun shop to bring in $20 and try out some crazy snacks or drinks. My one gripe is that they're very inconsistent with what's available. Some weeks a certain shampoo is available and other weeks they'll be randomly out of stock. They do offer promos by the checkout on things that are expiring soon and occasionally samples or free items with a big purchase.
Love the vibe and there are so many options snacks, drinks, Lego type sets and claw machines. There is so much to see and do. Definitely recommend stopping by and picking up whatever you need they even have make up and dishes. It's a great store.

From toy collectibles, figurines, cosmetics, beauty products, home goods, cookware, snacks galore, ramen, and even chilled beverages, there's aisles of great imported goods from Japan at a great price. The biggest surprise was a whole section of UFO catcher skill claw machines with cute mascot plushies to win. There's a promo right now if you spend over fifty dollars, you get a discount. Your purchase comes in a cute reusable baggie. I was given some free drink supplement samples as well. Definitely will be back once the crowd dies down.

Teso is a Japanese lifestyle store owned by a Chinese entrepreneur, as reflected in the presence of Chinese characters throughout the store. They carry a wide selection of Korean and Japanese skincare, haircare, makeup, and food. The cashier greeted us warmly upon entry, and the store is brightly lit with an inviting atmosphere. I also loved seeing a variety of cute Sanrio character merchandise. Love that they offer products samples. While I appreciate the diverse product selection, I wasn't particularly impressed with the pricing--especially considering the historically low Japanese yen. To be fair, my perspective may be skewed since I visited Japan in December 2024, where I found many of the same items for nearly half the price. That said, I understand that logistics costs and tariffs play a role in pricing. Overall, it's a great place to explore and try different products, even if the prices aren't the most competitive.
For those missing Japan a little, here's a store that offers some of the items you might have seen in Japan--skincare, shampoo, snacks, and makeup. The store is still quite new, so their stock changes daily or even from morning to evening. I went in the morning to avoid the crowd but returned later that evening because my family wanted to go, and some of the items were different from what I saw in the morning. Tip: They have a rewards membership, but they don't mention it, so I would ask about it if you plan to shop here frequently.
I had seen teso life all over instagram but never had the chance to stop by until recently. It is such a fun place!!! They have everything - from snacks, toys, stationary items, dish-ware, skincare, etc. it's like a mall... could spend hours and $$$ there. I got to try fun snacks like truffle and steak chips. Both were so yummy, and the flavors were spot on. The prices for everything are fair! You can find great gifts here. I'm always thinking abt my next visit. Ample parking in the big plaza, although it can get packed!
My first experience here was really nice.I loved it.I thought the store was beautiful. I recommend this place if you want to buy things from Japan especially skin care beauty products.This is also the only store I could find that had the Sailor Mars carbonated drink can.The service is good and they give you this cute little bag that you can reuse when you buy stuff.
Teso Life is like an elevated Japanese dollar store on steroids. It's think of Mini So but 10x bigger. The parking is more than ample, selection is out of this world (who needs to go to Japan when we have a Teso Life close by?), prices decently fair, and facilities clean. One item category that sticks out is the 3D puzzles. I wish I snapped a photo of that. Other items include Asian drinks, ramen, sunblock, beauty supplies, and so much more. Teso Life shares a parking lot with other high foot traffic stores like 99 Ranch for Asian groceries, Paris Baguette for pastries and desserts, LadyM for the best crepe cakes, Somi Somi for the world's best Taiyaki, and much much more! The shopping center is located close to Dairy Ashford and Westheimer, just north of Alief and not too far from Chinatown which has been expanding west. Enjoy! read more

My favorite store in Houston! This Japanese store has it all. From beauty products, to stationery, snacks, household items, and blind boxes. If you're a trinket collector, this place may be your heaven, or hell since you'll be burning all your money away. I kid you not, every time I come the blind box section gets bigger and bigger. Teso Life is an Asian lifestyle department store specializing in Japanese and Korean beauty products, snacks, and home goods. It's located off Westheimer in the same shopping center as 99 Ranch grocery store, Lady M, and Paris Baguette. I stopped in while visiting 99 Ranch and was curious to check it out. The standout here is the selection of beauty products. There are at least two full aisles dedicated to Japanese and Korean skincare, including serums, sunscreens, and face masks. The variety is impressive and convenient if you want everything in one place. That said, prices aren't the best--you can often find better deals online or at other stores--but the selection makes up for it. Toward the back of the store, you'll find snacks and drinks like chips, teas, and bottled beverages. Prices in this section are higher compared to places like H Mart or 99 Ranch, so I wouldn't come here specifically for snacks. Staff were friendly and welcoming when we entered, and parking is easy with a large shared lot. Overall, great spot for Japanese and Korean beauty products, especially if you value selection over price. Just be mindful of pricing and don't expect bargain deals. read more

This place was not on my list of things to do today but here we are! I came here for spice jars and left with Japanese snacks and a Lego flower kit. This place is like Daiso's cool cousin that lives in the city(a bit pricier). They have an arcade and so many cool gadgets and gifts. I really loved that I found so many things I would definitely come back for. Alphonso was really helpful and helped me find a few beginner snacks. They have so many candies and treats it can be kind of overwhelming. They have teas and coffees in the coolers. I can't wait to try my iced matcha latte. lots of cold treats and sweets drinks. Another trinket shop to add to the list. read more

Unique experience and a must-visit. From premium skincare products to the tempting snacks to the coveted LABUBUS. This place has it all. I love my new skin care products - my skin has been transformed. I've never been one to buy any of these types of collectible toys, but this place has the cutest stuff and I couldn't resist. I have past by this store many times and wondered what it was. I was shocked at how many items they had whether you are looking for makeup, housewares, figurines, snacks, and drinks. They also have ton of machines to get a stuff animal. You just have to see for yourself self. Go check it out they have something for everyone! read more
Came here two weeks after they opened, and the place is still very busy. There is plenty of parking despite it being packed. I was very pleased the moment I stepped into the store by the wide variety of products they have. They had snacks, ice cream, kitchen accessories, make-up, pencils, and so much more. They even have multiple claw machines, and I see customers winning the stuffed animals quite easily. The prices are reasonable, especially since they are products of Japan. There is so much selection for everyone. I will definitely come here again. read more
Super friendly and helpful staff. Fun just walking around and exploring. So many makeup and skin care products. Having an android phone that can translate really helps. Got myself some moisturizers, drinks and snacks. I will definitely be back! read more

Wow!! Where do I begin?? If you like Daiso, you will LOVE Teso Life! However, Teso Life is NOT a dollar store. Prices are much higher here, but the quality is there to match. Teso Life has just about anything you can imagine--and more--from a Japanese "stuff" store: household items, interesting snacks, skincare and cosmetics, a frozen foods section, an entire refrigerated aisle just for drinks, an entire aisle of candy, toys, pens and stationery, and even a section with crane games!! As a lifelong Hello Kitty lover, I did see a fair share of Hello Kitty / Sanrio-branded items. It's impossible for me to enumerate all they had to offer, so you'll have to make a trip there yourself. Just be warned--it's overwhelming! A few tips: If you want to play the crane games, you can pay for tokens without queuing in the checkout line. There is a cash register on the left just for tokens. Each token is $1. Most machines are 1-2 tokens depending on the size of the toy. Every purchase comes with a great reusable, branded shopping bag. Even if all you buy are snacks, you'll still get a sweet and useful souvenir. After your trip, have a snack break and try taiyaki next door at Somisomi! Happy Shopping! read more

Loved loved loved Teso Life! Just did my first visit and it definitely so t be my last. The 40 min drive was worth it. I don't even know where to start because there was so much to look at. My inner Hello Kitty loving 8 yr old was screaming of excitement. Store offers something for everyone from little collectibles, to fun snacks and personal items. It was also very reasonably priced. The store clerks were also very kind and the store was impeccably clean!! read more

If you're looking for any Asian beauty products, this is the place to go to. There is so many variations inside of this store. As well as many snacks, stationary, and blind bags. Worth the visit and drive. read more
