Plainly pathetic! We are complex with eight swimming pools in which none of them are working properly. None of them are heated. Three of them are broke. You would think the managment could at least get one of the swimming pools heated? It just shows how much they care. They never sent out that one notice about the swimming pool situation. Worst service ever. Lazy. Unprofessional staff, and no one answers the phone at the corporate office in Nevada. It just rings and rings. I'm not sure I would buy property in Desert Hacienda IV in Mission Hills. Michelle Mata, whom I spoke with in The Management Trust Palm Desert office, was rude, abrasive, and gave misleading info. The Management Trust charges money and profits from their portal Homewise.com, which they refer the public to. They charge $100 for CC&Rs and money for Minutes of Meetings. These docs are typically provided by the seller's agent or Title Company. This is CA law. Michelle Mata did not mention any of these options. Bottom line: You don't profit or mislead buyers into thinking they need to pay for these HOA disclosure docs when the sellers are responsible for providing them. I'll be filing a complaint with the California Department of Real Estate. CA Law: Homeowners Associations (HOAs) are required to provide annual disclosures to their members, which include budget-related and policy-related information. These disclosures help homeowners understand the financial status and rules of the association, ensuring transparency and accountability. read more

My experience with The Management Trust has been deeply frustrating, and it all comes back to poor leadership and lack of accountability at the management level. Damian Jenkins personally met with me and other board members multiple times to promote The Management Trust when we were selecting a new HOA management company. He made strong promises about communication, responsiveness, and quality of service--assurances that heavily influenced our decision to sign a contract. Now that real issues have surfaced--like ongoing facility maintenance problems, poor enforcement of community standards, and unprofessional behavior from some team members--I'm being told I shouldn't copy Mr. Jenkins on emails, as it could somehow incur "additional costs to the community." That's completely unacceptable. If the team is failing to meet expectations, it is the responsibility of leadership to hear that feedback and correct course. This isn't about minor oversights--this is about a management structure that deflects accountability and silences homeowners when they speak up. The community deserves better, and the promises made when this company was courting our business have not been upheld. read more

Unfortunately, we have to submit this review due to a continuing issue dealing with an ongoing landscape irrigation/water leak, and general esthetics of depleted landscape rock at Gallery Indian Springs. All photos taken yesterday, 2-27-2025. Photos of the irrigation leak are located on the slope (just to the right) of our community entry to Gallery Indian Springs. We first noticed and emailed to Management Trust on 11-15-2024. Nothing has changed. Been going on for months. Water continues to overflow down the slope depleting the landscape rock, and depositing sand/silt onto the sidewalk at Westward Ho drive. This is water waste! The landscape rock has been dilapidated for the last couple of years, and this continuing issue doesn't bode well for this particular area which already looks egregious. This situation is corrigible. Other photos of depleting landscape rock were first submitted to Management Trust on 1-31-2023, 4-20-2023, 1-18-2024, and 9-18-2024. Many areas are severely depleted of landscape rock that even landscape lighting wiring is exposed as seen in photos. Areas of landscape rock are located on the slopes, and entry/exit gate area to our community of Gallery Indian Springs. Perhaps Management Trust can do their due diligence, and have a representative come out and survey these areas. Areas look much worse in person/up close. We'll see what happens... Todd R. read more

This is a company that is less qualified than the volunteer Board Members and fails to educate and guide Board Members. They literally do whatever their told to do by an out of control board that has brought our Association to ruins. I think this is all an attempt to keep the contract more so than it is to do their jobs as they describe on their website to educate and inform. Between the board and the management company there is absolutely no transparency. They don't even respond when you ask questions because They don't want to have anything on record as far as their responses to have to answer for. If you are thinking of using this mgmt company I have one word, DON'T! As a current HoA board member it's my opinion that they are simply inept. Here are just a few of the bad experiences our community has gone thru in just 15 months. TMT allowed a water leak to go on for 5 days with water running everywhere. We weren't allowed to use our local plumber so the tech they sent out came unprepared with no tools or the wrong tools needed to fix the leak. Our 2022 HoA election was another mishap on the part of TMT. They allowed a residents ballot to be mailed out BLANK! Who was responsible for proofreading the initial print and who allows the mailing of a blank ballot? The ballot application was completed by the resident and confirmed received by TMT a month before printing but when the official ballots were printed and mailed, this residents went out BLANK. Some say it was intentional so to cost this resident votes. Another bad experience was a recent 2023 Zoom meeting to where TMT gave out the wrong Zoom meeting ID and our residents were entering someone else's Zoom meeting, YES a different Zoom meeting. More Laziness to date, 3/2023, TMT still likes to use the Covid virus as an excuse as to why they can't do there monthly site visit OUTSIDE! No problem going grocery shopping or out to a restaurant but we can't do an outdoor site visit due to Covid. I could go on but I feel like you get the picture, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & POOR MANAGEMENT! It got so bad that I politely reached out to TMT President of the Desert Region via email, Damian.Jenkins@managementtrust.com to ask what the hell is going on with some of his Palm Desert mgmt staff. Even he didn't have the professional attitude or concern to reply or reach out to me. In my opinion, It seems as long as they get their monthly check and collect additional fees is all they care about. I do know there are employees, family and friends out there who will write 5 star reviews for their employer so keep those reviews in mind. Now to be honest and fair, Christina and Sarah at the Palm Desert office seem to be the only 2 professionals in that office. read more

He always has a smile and actually, dropped everything to make sure my key fobs were working and reprogram them. When I send an email, he answers right away. He seems excited about his work. This is my third year living full-time at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage, and I want to THANK MICHELLE MATA for her CONTINUED EXCEPTIONAL service with the HOA Board! She has CONSISTENTLY shown respect, empathy and understanding for ALL of my concerns and has demonstrated very professional and caring service to our community. Michelle ALWAYS returns calls and emails in a timely manner AND she makes herself available for in-person meetings at my request. Michelle has also left the comfort of her office to drive to my specific area where I live to observe personally the information I had given her about recent unfortunate incidents that had been occurring for some time. Michelle also goes out of her way to call me to reassure that she is addressing my concerns AND asks me how I AM FEELING about any of my issues with our area. Yes, it's another bad review for The Management Trust in Palm Desert, CA. Our last Executive Board Meeting was held at a homeowners house in order to eliminate two presiding Board members. Jerrod Panel is making up reasons to kick 2 Board members off the Board even though were elected by the majority of homeowners last March, our election month. The following open Board meeting for all homeowners was a circus. One Board member yelling loudly at another Board member, the meeting got so out of hand, it was rudely dismissed by the President of the Board. The application process to make changes to our exterior property were made and approved in accordance with the rules of the association. Checks for the refundable $1000 were submitted. After final approval by the board in November we were told the $1000 would be returned immediately. After NUMEROUS phonecalls to the office and NUMEROUS emails , we have yet to receive anything. This is unprofessional and unacceptable behavior for an HOA to whom we pay a monthly fee. read more

Horrible Management company. Very unprofessional and toxic to board and member relations. Unable to fulfill document requests resulting in exposing their client to legal action. Not able to address valid member concerns or issues with reasonable responses and/or resolutions resulting in again exposing their client to legal action. Believes in board's operating in a nontransparent manner, and they become angry when someone questions why information is not available. If they spent as much time fulfilling valid and legal requests of association members and solving problems as opposed to being resistant and unreasonable they would be money ahead and their clients communities would be more peaceful. read more

We recently sold our residence in Bermuda Dunes Country Club because we were tired of the state of disrepair of the entire country club. In selling our residence, the fee charged by The Monarch Group was $535 to simply change their records noting the new owners. There are no documents to be prepared. Furthermore, the fees of Bermuda Dunes Security Association (managed by Gold Coast Community) charged $650 for the same transfer of ownership to the new owners. The total in fees to change ownership to the new owner was $1,185. OUTRAGEOUS! There is no accountability by The Monarch Group. The Community Association does nothing for the residence of Bermuda Dunes Country Club. read more

Seasonal owners at Four Seasons Terra Lago which is a K Hovnanian property. The controlling board vote is still with KHov and for that I am pleased. The real test will be when the HOA controls the board at which time The Management Trust will truly show us what they are made of in making sure our reserve funds continue to grow. The Management Trust was a 2 or 3 star in my estimation when we first bought into the community two years ago. The new manager, Carl, and a few new staff members now make it a 5 star rating. The Management Trust staff works hard to answer questions, take care of problems, be proactive, and educate the HOA about rules and regulations, and fiscal responsibility. It cannot be easy trying to make everyone happy- it never will be, but the majority of people I speak with are very pleased with the new direction Carl and his team are leading our community. read more

This company has some of the worst customer service I have experienced. No one communicates with anyone else in the company and each time you call, you must explain the same story again and again. They are basically non-responsive and, in addition, have an "attitude" like they are doing you the favor. As a professional in the customer service industry, The Management Trust needs to have some serious training for some staff related to courtesy and customer responsiveness. It would be very interesting (and frightening) if they actually sent a customer satisfaction survey to those whom they served! Recently, when I had an issue with a neighbor, the Manager, Tiffany Wright was fast to respond and very helpful to resolve the situation in a sensitive way. In my interactions with the team office staff, especially Rita Griffiths who goes above board to help you in all ways she can, I feel they all have been honest, helpful, kind, very knowledgeable and make you feel we are all family. When a member of our HOA has had questions in regards to current rules, the Management Trust staff has guided us in a very productive honest way. The response time has always been fast when I place a call. I really appreciate that they know me by name and treat me with great respect! I would highly recommend them. The co-workers of the Management Trust at FSTL in Indio, CA are the best part. All are ready to help but Rita Griffiths goes out of her way to satisfy your request. Her leadership ability leaves you with a friendly environment that is very nurturing and supportive and tends to calm any stressful situation. Leadership/Logistics is as good as any top company out there. The entire staff works very hard to create a drama free environment. I respectfully disagree with the previous reviews. I have lived in an association managed by Monarch, and now one managed by a large competitor. In terms of response time, information technology, knowledge of current California law and integrity, they are superior. The HOA I now live in, managed by a competitor, is on the 6th or 7th manager in as many years. When I had a problem in the past on the weekend with Monarch my call was returned within a half hour. I recently had to call my current Management Company on a Saturday Morning, ---Sunday afternoon was the call back. Not an indictment but a fact. My experience has been when a home owner wants to do something outside the HOA rules and is forced to rescind or undo they blame the the management company, it is easier, such I believe is the case with the reviewer read more

This company is horrific to work with. Multiple people over the years all doing nothing to move a very necessary project forward - our property is leaking from HOA run areas and the excuses to get this fixed are endless - two years now, or possibly more. Each new person comes in saying "oh, yes, that person didn't do a good job, but I'm here now and I'll make sure this gets handled - I'm so sorry", but time and time again, no progress, barely any communication and certainly no progress updates, mainly because there is never any progress. The newest person to say "I got this" is Jamie Hansen - she's dodged calls, dodged responsibility and simply doesn't seem to care or make this a priority. I am stuck with this company "for now" but if you're lucky enough to have a choice, DO NOT choose this company - it's a disaster.
