The price of the food is very good and the portions are generous. You do need to have a membership to eat here however but if you don't have one, you can ask for a tasting membership which is a $5 fee on top of your check. Service is friendly but some of the waitstaff seem new. We had one of the chicken skewer appetizers and it was not cooked thoroughly. This may suggest maybe the kitchen cooks are new too (who knows). But they are trying so I'd still give them 3 stars. read more

I feel that this place is poorly managed. Membership isn't worth it and found out that they are going to be increased. NOT worth it. They call themselves 'Culinary' but food is disappointing and several times we're got sick as well our guest we have brought. To fit what they promise they need to take a look at the food/menu, it NEEDS to be improved. Beer and liquor could be better. Some staff are great, some feel like they are better or above you. Doesn't make myself, family or friends we've brought in welcome. Positive note: I'd say some of the young staff are kind, it's clean and happy hour on Wednesday's are great. read more

Again, another take-out disaster from this same restaurant. Regardless of what has been ordered it is nearly inedible or incomplete. Picked up a French "dip" sandwich for my wife... It was no surprise when it was missing the Au Jus (sort of what makes it a "dip"... $15 and a required 20% tip for a dry sandwich and cold fries (I think everything is prepared at least an hour before pick up. Last week was the grilled salmon... Which ended up being a 3-5 ounce over cooked fish with two small pieces of cold potatoes and three pieces of cold vegetables... all this for... $21 and a required 20% tip. We can't wait until we burn through a credit... And kiss this place goodbye. read more

I went in on a "try it before you buy it" kind of reservation since this is a membership only establishment. $5 "membership" fee was added to my bill as a one time charge to try the place out. I already have my name on their waitlist as they currently aren't accepting new members, though was told they accept new people monthly and am hoping that my name is getting close to the top! We made a reservation for 5:15pm on a Thursday (today) and were seated promptly. Even write up a place card with our last name at the table. It was just me and my two young girls 3 and 4 1/2 years in age. (Yes they have a kids menu!) The ambience was great! Establishment was clean and organized and somewhat quiet (it wasn't very busy). They had a variety of kids food options and your choice of mandarin oranges or fries for the side dish. (My kiddos picked the oranges and LOVED them!!) The mac and cheese was of course made with real cheese so naturally my little munchkins weren't fans of it, because let's face it, they are used to the boxed stuff at home! I ordered the southwest chicken salad and it was FABULOUS!! That is easily my favorite type of salad and until now, I haven't been able to find a place in the area that has a decent one. This wasn't just decent, but delicious and I ate the entire thing! I ordered one of the fancier cocktails and you could tell the bartender knows how to make them. It wasn't overly sweet and the flavor was great. I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called but it had raspberry vodka in it and was served in a martini glass. The waitstaff was very friendly and our entire experience was enjoyable. I can't wait to get a membership so we can make it our regular spot! Jessie seated us promptly. Jaiden provided excellent and attentive service. Chef Dino scored a hat trick with his three-course prix-fix dinner for the Restaurant Week. The Lobster Bisque paired with Gilbert Cellars Riesling was perfect. The Pan Seared Sea Scallops served with Owen Roe DeBrul Chardonnay was brilliant. The kitchen's performance is very uneven. I once got the spinach quinoa salad and enjoyed it, so I ordered it again. It included something-- tomatoes, maybe--that was slimy, verging on spoiled, and ruined the taste of the entire salad. Note: If you have vegetables that are going bad, throw them into the GARBAGE, not my dinner! Once got a delicious Millionaire Burger. The next time my burger was dry and fried until crispy, despite my 'medium rare' order. I had the feeling it was a leftover from lunch or dinner the day before. Beef stroganoff tasted just like a frozen dinner, but priced like $$$. The chef's idea of fancy cooking seems to be either splashing balsamic vinegar on it or throwing a handful of fresh berries on top of it. The restaurant itself is quite a lovely and relaxing setting. I went here with a friend of mine because I heard it was a great new place in the PNW. I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The place was very clean, very well decorated, and organized. I felt very at home and comfortable. I had the grilled romaine salad with anchovies, which was grilled to perfection. The anchovies were perfectly paired with the grilled romaine and crispy parmesan chips. For an entrée I had the Thick-Cut Pork Chop with apricot chutney, crispy potatoes, and seasonal veggies (which was carrot spears). The pork was cooked to perfection! I also had about 3 glasses of the Copper mountain Pino Grigio which was also excellent. The chef executive chef Nathaniel Cooper worked with his staff to perfection in the preparation of my meal. I love The Mantel for three main reasons: the people, the atmosphere, and of course the food! Christopher, bartender is especially helpful, and he makes fantastic drinks. My favorite menu items are: The Millionaire burger, Crumbled Sausage Pizza, and the Spinach & Quinoa Salad (with chicken). Unfortunate update changing my rating from a 5 to a 1. I took my wife and two kids here for Saturday dinner on Mother's Day weekend. My son and I both got the pork chops, because they appeared to be a fan favorite. My son bit into his chop first and said wow this is kind of salty. I then bit into mine and yes, it was extremely salty. I told the waitress about it and asked if they could redo a chop in a less salty option. She checked with the kitchen but discovered they were salt-brined and thus would be the same result. I ordered a pizza instead and it was good. I am diabetic and I asked Chef Nate if he would be willing to cook me a plate of food specialized with just the right carbs, fiber and proteins. He not only embraced the idea, he made me feel special, like I was important enough to help me take care of myself. Now that's mind blowing! Had a wonderful lunch at The Mantle with the family today. Ordered a series of sandwiches that were juicy, flavorful, and delicious. The prime rib and millionaire burger will definitely not disappoint, and compliment those with garlic Parmesan fries and you'll be on your way to bliss. The Mantle is open to everyone for a year, but will be only for the 55+ community in Tehaleh after so try it now while you can folks. They also have cooking classes in a side kitchen for fun date nights, and a pool tables for trilogy residents. Great food and tentative service won us over. We happened to be in the area and we were hungry. I yelped a restaurant and this one was the closest. We decided to go after only reading the first review, wishing now that I had read more closely. First we were asked about having a reservation. Nope. We immediately felt like we were an imposition. I can understand needing reservations, we apologized and were willing to leave but then were told they would clear a table for us. Great. We were certainly willing to wait. Then we were asked if we had a membership which obviously we did not. I had already explained that we were not from the area and that we just happen to be here and we were looking for a place to eat. Again I felt like an imposition. The disdained look that I received was very offputting. We were told we would need to Pay an extra five dollar fee for eating there. We were willing to do that. Then we were told we had to fill out a form to become a member but we could decline it eventually. Oh so confusing when we just wanted to eat dinner. Before we could order we were given an iPad with a questionnaire to fill out. We could not complete the questionnaire without agreeing to pay a $50 membership fee. We were assured that this would not be charged to us and that we could decline it at some point in time. The initial experience was disappointing and offputting. After we were seated our waitress was charming and the food was simply delicious. They brought potato chips and a lovely dip. I had the pork chop medallions with the balsamic and the fig jam it was splendid and I simply loved the sweet potatoes. My husband had a salmon fillet that was perfect. The prices were excellent. Would we come again? No. We left still concerned about being charged $50 for a membership or receiving a hard sell phone call. read more

Love it here! It's members only ($50 annual fee), but worth it if you live near by and are able to visit frequently. Not trying to scare anyone away from great food, wine, local craft beer, and homemade drinks, but I would call in first and get the details before making the drive. Dishes we ordered: - Shrimp Tacos - Dungeness Crab Cakes - Cobb Salad - Spicy Italian Pizza - Classic White Pizza - Millionaire Burger (medium rare) - Grilled Ribeye (black & blue) Every single dish was cooked to perfection and we all ended up sharing bites with each other. The ribeye literally melted in your mouth. Anyone complaining about the food, prices or service here has absolutely no idea how to rate a restaurant and should stick to a chain place like The Rock, Hop Jacks or Denny's. This place has really great potential. Easy to find, nice looking place, and a decent wine menu. I was there on a Friday night, with my two sisters. The place was dead. I asked if we could sit outside. We waited over 15 minutes before I finally got up, went inside, and asked if someone was coming to take our drink order. The server came out, and rudely asked for our order. We ordered food, which the chef brought out. It was plated nicely ,but none of us had silverware to eat it with. I had to go inside again and ask for that too. My sister ordered a peach salad. It had literally less than a quarter of a slice of a peach on it. For $11, it was outrageous. The staff was neglectful and rude, at best. For Bonney Lake dining, you're better off going to Hop Jacks. I was super excited that there was a new place, buuuuttt they have many kinks to figure out. read more

We became members a few months ago along with some friends, right before the cut off of people who do not live in the community. Oh and Im and glad we did, went last night for the new Menu launch and let me tell you amazing! The Menu was great before but the new items the chef has created are some of the best we have had. Yellow curry prawns with rice and apple chutney to die for, bacon wrapped fillet so tender and delicious and the waldorf salad I was doubtful about but once again amazing. We cant wait to go back and try the rest of the wonderful new items on the Menu and are waiting for the new desert and breakfast menus to come out, Im sure they will be just as great. This place is so close to my house which makes it great for a short trip out for dinner or a date night. The patio area is comfortable in the summer and has a nice atmosphere even though the restaurant is located within a neighborhood. The food is good but the menu is very small and somewhat limited. The hours are also limited so check the website for times before heading out. read more

Husband ordered bacon wrapped prawns and I had the special enchiladas. The retires beans were so sally couldn't eat them.
