I looked at my reciept and was not happy to see that I was charged for "OPEN FOOD" and they didnt even tell me that I would be charged extra for using my credit card. *The Caldo I bought was average. Not worth $25. *The fish tacos could be better. Haven't found anything close to the fish tacos I had in East L.A. And at $5 a fish taco...What a rip off for the size that they were. *The burrito looked good, but that Diablo sauce was spicier than I could handle. The look bad changed. Prices seemed to have gone way up. They charge you "open food" whatever that means. I wont be back here.

Place was clean and good music. But the food was a 7.5/10. I got camarones a la diabla and they were a bit spicy but no flavor. Michelada was good tho and came with a shrimp.

Food was delicious! Loved my 2 tacos (fish and al pastor). The salsa with the chips was perfectly spicy (not too hot or mild). Nice ambience with the soccer game on. The service was great. Will be back for dinner to try some of the other amazing looking dishes I saw on the menu

After a revamp to their restaurant, I was excited to come back and give it a shot. I always loved their diablo shrimp and this time was no different. I love when the food makes my nose run. The place looked much nicer and the ambiance was quiet, but bright and cheery. I really liked their new tile. The service was just ok and we got a charged a really weird "open food" tax, even though we got the food to-go. The prices have also gone way up so it's not a place I can go to as often. But it's a solid Mariscos spot.

    Parrillada sin fin
    The P.

Such a delightful place. No frills, very casual. The service works very hard even though they're a little understaffed and they're very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Parrillada sin fin which would easily feed 4. It didn't come with the avocado as was shown in the menu photo possibly because we ordered a side of guacamole. Overall a wonderful meal. The fish was perfectly done and the vegetables were just right and well seasoned. I don't add sauce to almost anything. The flour tortillas tasted store bought, next time I'll order the corn. The guacamole was wonderful. The Parrillada sin fin is a little pricey but with three hungry people we had leftovers so it's a good value, especially for the quality and abundance. We will return often. Only reasons it's not 5 stars is the price, the super casual atmosphere (folding tables and folding chairs), and it's a little understaffed so the service is slower (servers are fast but there's more tables than a couple servers can handle).

Food was delicious. FRESH & amazing customer service. They gave me a sample of their ceviche. YUM!!! A must try is their black sauce. Promise you won't be disappointed. I had Baja fish tacos and the seafood tower with black sauce.. sorry no pics. It was just THAT good.

Omg! Amazing , the food was amazing! I never eat shrimp with a shell and today I did ! I definitely recommend the shrimp a la cucaracha !!! We had multiple plates and they were all delicious! 10/10 must try !!

    Molcajete. Really good.

Food Soup - 4.5/5. A very nice complementary sample. Chips and salsa - 4/5. Chips were average but the salsa was tasty. Molcajete - 4.5/5. A really tasty meal that has a hefty portion for the price. Chicken was tender and flavorful. Steak and shrimp were solid. Chorizo and cheese were my favorite, along with the chargrilled flavor of the jalapeno and green onion. Sauce was mild and had good flavor. Horchata - 4.8/5. An excellent, balanced drink with a cinnamon overtone. Probably the best I've had. Service 5/5 - Attentive and friendly. Atmosphere 4/5 - A nice, non-pretentious date spot. Music was a tad too loud.

Food was great! Vesy tasty spicy agua chiles and fish ceviche. Great fast service. I Highly recommend this place.

This hole-in-the-wall is just fabulous and charming. Good food, amazing service (mil gracias, Rebecca), family atmosphere. If the weather is nice, try to snag the one outside table. Karaoke on Sunday night. I had fish with minced garlic sauce and my friend had shrimp enchiladas, both were excellent. We plan on coming back with a group so we can order one of their large platters. Don't miss out, eat here soon and regularly.

We walked in with no reservations and were promptly seated by the bonfire. Our waitress was extremely kind and knew the menu like the back of her hand, which is always appreciated. Once we got settled, we started the evening with drinks and water (because balance) and then proceeded to have a full-blown yap session while the drinks kept making their rounds. Good conversation, good vibes, and a cozy rooftop moment -- can't really ask for more than that. If you're in the area, stop by and show them some love. P.S. There's street parking... and it's free, which in itself deserves a round of applause.

It's located inside a hotel and the rooftop was decorated with florals and there were couches near the fire pits. If you sit at the fire pit, the table is going to be super small by the way. I ordered the grapefruit grove, but they ran out of grapefruit so I had to sub for pineapple. The drink still tasted good. My friends ordered the bird of paradise and the LA fruit cart and they liked their drinks as well. For food, we all tried the flora fries, garlic parmesan wings and the ahi tuna poke nachos. This is where it was lacking. I only liked the flora fries. They were crispy and garlicky. However, the garlic parmesan wings were extremely bland. I couldn't taste any flavor, we had to ask for some salt. The ahi tuna poke was not what i was expecting. I literally got 4 small pieces of tuna on some crispy wonton chips and it was $23 lol. Overall, if I were to come back, I would just come for drinks and ambiance but not the food.

Server Álvaro is an actual SAINT at Saint & Second!…read more I want to start by clarifying that I went to S&S yesterday afternoon ready to cry major boo-hoo tears to my two besties, without much of an appetite. Instead, I ended up with a full belly and side cramps from laughing along with our awesome server, Alvaro. The Man. The Myth. The Legend that he is! Small Backstory: Last Friday I lost my job of almost 25 years in public education due to a complicated work accident (my back was broken & I now have screws in my spine) and I planned to whine to my best friends into a cocktail or two, and get out plenty of Kim Kardashian ugly-cry faces until it would be time to go home. Enter ALVARO! This kind man had the nerve to be polite to us! The nerve! LOL. He greeted us with a warm smile while my cold heart was practically making it snow. He explained all portions of the breathtaking menu when I had planed to eat my sadness. He even had the GALL to say if we wanted something not on the menu that he would see what he could do to make it happen! Here I was, ready to drink Unicorn Tears, and he was cheering me up! WHAT THE??! LOL The three is us started with the MEZZE PLATE. And OH LORD! I think we ate the print off of the plates while trying to get to the last crumb. We polished off a whole extra serving of cucumber slices in the process, by the way, and I'm not embarrassed to say that. The Turkish honey-sweetened labne was such a party in our mouths! Make of that what you will. Each of us got a dinner entre, with mine being the S&S Fish and Chips. I loved that the fillet was not overly battered and the chips had an almost double-Belgium fried taste going on. I couldn't help but swipe several spoons worth of aged-cheddar grits off a friend's seared pork chop plate. Now THOSE were some butter-heaven sent grits! My drink, that kept shooting partially through my nostrils from laughter, was a classic margarita on the rocks. No margaritas were injured/harmed in the process of my belly laughter. At some point towards the end of our night, a patron of the mall next door pulled the site-wide fire alarm, ringing through the whole location for everyone to use caution and head to the closest exit. If you grew up like my friends and I, you don't follow that suggestion unless you're trying to run out on the bill like a jerk. Bless be to Alvaro, he stopped by our table several times to apologize about the noise and flashing lights and explained the fire department was working on it. I explained that the Hood Cricket sound didn't bother us and we were happy to wait out the alarm. So not only did Alvaro provide us with excellent service, an outstanding meal, and generous smiles, but he also made sure that we felt SEEN. And THAT is what made the whole evening worth it. No sadness or cringey tears about a lost job were needed. It ends up all we needed was a server named Alvaro at Saint & Second to make my spirits feel high again. Pricing is a bit high but was totally worth it! Patrons were dressed business casual. Sound level, not counting the hood cricket, was mid and conversation was easy to have. Several televisions were playing different stations but no captions were provided. There is handicap parking available in the parking garage located just outside the front door of the establishment and no stairs or elevators are needed to enter. There are several entrances/exits to the available outdoor seating area and outdoor heaters are available. Glances around showed me that every patron I saw was tucking into their plates with smiles and were enjoying themselves. I have already made plans to return to S&S in another two weeks because it was indeed THAT GOOD! And for those fine diners that are wondering, "But what is a Hood Cricket?" An HC is a chirping fire-alarm that some of us are able to tune out with ease. You're welcome!
