Great local place. Great people. Great customer service. Great sandwiches. We were driving through this area and needed to stop for lunch. It was well worth driving one mile off the interstate. We were first got here (around noon) it wasn't crowded, but the longer we were here the more crowded it got. The restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. It has nice quant seating inside and outside. We ordered the Cold Egg Salad BLT and Chicken Salad Sandwich with lettuce and tomato. We drank sweet tea and they had free refills. All sandwiches come with chips. I recommend coming to The Market if you're in the area. It was a delicious lunch. read more

Initially when moving to Lewisburg area we tried to stop here but it was so packed so we went somewhere else as we were on a time crunch. My family eventually made their way back and we love this little diner. Their food is amazing, the staff is so friendly and kind. It's always clean and we have just had an overall amazing experience. Good place when you find yourself hungry in Lewisburg at lunchtime. We passed by during good weather and appreciated the outdoor seating. The menu offers typical lunchtime fare of sandwiches, wraps, and side dishes. We had chicken salad and the "green" veggie wrap and both were yummy. One caveat: if you're on a limited workday lunch hour, order ahead. The service was really slow, even for a lunch rush. read more

We met my parents here for lunch, they drove down from Ohio and us up from Virginia to drop off my dog so they could watch him while we were away. The town and surrounding are beautiful!!! The people extremely nice! We were even allowed to bring our dog on the patio to sit with us, tons of sandwiches and salads to chose from, but a little underwhelming. My BLT hD like 3 pieces of bacon, wilting lettuce, and thin white bread. It was good, but very underwhelming. For a sandwich shop, it's definitely unique! The best boars head meat and a very cute restaurant.

Great place to grab lunch. The ladies behind the counter are very nice and the iced tea is great. I had the BBQ brisket sandwich. It was piled high and delicious! Wish they had better side options, but the plain chips hit the spot. read more

I often stop here for lunch. Located next door to Food and Friends, they serve Boar's Head meats and have a good selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads and a soup of the day. You can also buy their meats and salads (egg, tuna & chicken salads) by the pound. If you'd like dessert, they have about a half dozen different flavors of ice cream. Everything is fresh and the service is quick and friendly.They also serve breakfast. Open weekdays, The Market Is only open on Saturdays certain months of the year. Just ate here for the first time a few weeks ago. My boyfriend has frequented this place for years and says they always have good food. This is the "day time lunch cafe" part of Food and Friends. I really enjoyed it! The Greek salad was more than I could finish. The bread served with it was great. I could have eaten many, many loaves :) My only complaint is that they don't have a Greek dressing to serve with the Greek salad. The balsamic vinaigrette just wasn't what I was looking for. This is a lunchtime favorite. I recommend the mountaineer sandwich on marble rye, the chicken salad sandwich (like home), and the taco salad. Also they make a great chili dog!
