Wife, my sister and brother had a Reuben, my brother had a Rocky I had the French onion soup and a Soprano. Two of us drank water two of us had a Stella and one had Dr. Pepper. It was a beautiful day in September and the golf course was busy. The French onion soup was unimpressive. Just not enough flavor and the bread had no texture. The fried mushrooms were pretty good, the Potato Skins were excellent. Of the sandwiches the Reuben was the best. The bread on the Soprano was dry and fallen apart. I have been to this establishment 2x now. Due to unforeseen circumstances we got carry out both my husband and I got the smoked to run as recommended by the as lady that took our order. Boy was she spot on!! We both got them cooked medium rare and they were perfect!! The flavor was awesome, the side dishes were all wonderful and the bread and butter was especially delightful!! Prices were higher than we expected after looking at the menus on yelp, but the food was very good. We split a New York strip, and it was cooked exactly as requested and was delicious. Staff was in the process of being trained, so things were a little slow, but they were very professional and friendly. It was a Saturday about 1:00 and there were just a few people (maybe 10) in the place. We noticed that 2 groups who came in after us (1 group well after us) got their food while we still had not received ours. We asked the server to check on our order and she said it was coming right out. Well that was about 20 minutes later. I wish we could say the food was worth the wait but it wasn't. This place was surprisingly good. Doesn't look like much going in but the food was very tasty. Huge portions! I should have split a breakfast sandwich. Food took a while to come but when it did, it was piping hot. This is at a golf course, but it's not fancy. Didn't notice a dress code. We were dressed fairly casual too and with a 5 year old. If you haven't been here for breakfast on the weekend, you're missing out on a great way to start the day. We've stopped here several times and it has been consistently satisfying. (We have not tried them for dinner but it's on the to-do list.) When we order omelets here we're pleased with the quantity and flavor of the add-ins. My new favorite is the pulled pork. On a previous visit I ordered 2 biscuits with sausage gravy... next time I'll order just one since it was so filling. Pancakes are quite large also. Be cautious when ordering. Our server was very friendly and attentive. As with most restaurants now, prices seem to be going up. However if you've read my other reviews, you know Mrs. Foodie and I also base whether we're likely to return based on perceived value. I would have never been able to eat the full size meal and splitting it was not enough since my daughter was "starving". My daughter had a twice baked potato, salad AND asparagus. Our waitress was extremely attentive. The food was huge portions and cooked to perfection. We met our son in Lewisburg because it is the halfway point between the two houses. Of course the guys wanted steak and it did not disappoint. We were dressed in jeans and hoodies and a little nervous because when we pulled in realized it was part of the country club. We had been working hard all day and ran out in the evening to grab a bite instead of cooking. Hadn't eaten all day so we were starving! Got to this place at 8pm (they closed at 9pm)... Finally at 8:35pm they bring out our hot dogs, onion rings, hamburger and fries. The hot dog Buns were black on one side, down right burnt! They tried to hide it on my plate by tucking the two burnt sides of each bun together. The weiners were burnt and their blackened ends hanging out the bun. The Hamburger looked like a burnt to the crisp sausage patty! I pointed all this out to the waitress who said she could take it back and have it redone. WE WERE STARVING AND NEEDED TO EAT! We didn't have time to wait another 35 mins for them to redo it all. (We should have just got up and left!) But we were starving, so we scraped off what black we could and ate it anyway. Surprisingly enough The onion rings had raw dough on the inside. Food was both Way over cooked and under cooked. IT WAS TERRIBLE! The cook needs to stop playing on their phone and pay attention to what they are doing! The waitress apologized that everything was burnt but did not adjust our check. She then precede to go over and bang around loudly with some dishes and the ice machine. That's OK. We will never walk foot in that terrible restaurant again! Only downside is advertising. Pulled in the first time not realizing there was a restaurant in the golf course. Went back and tried to locate the restaurant again... Boy was I happy!! Stayed down the road at the Fairfield and wanted somewhere close and a steak. Got the 10oz NY strip special with potato, veg, soup or salad. It was absolutely fantastic, and had hit of smoke. They smoke the whole steak before cooking on the grill with most likely a cold smoke so it won't cook the steak. Three of us at the table ate the steak, and all had different temps that where cooked exactly perfect. Menu is a little bland looking, but don't let that full you when it comes to quality. My family and I stopped at this restaurant after a flight in from West Palm Beach, FL. We were tired and wanted a nice sit down restaurant. The waitress was excellent; however, we were horrified to see that there were cockroaches on the bathroom floor and in the sink as well as crawling underneath the tables. As I ate it from the outside in, I was caught off guard by the texture as I began too eat towards the middle of the sandwich. Upon further investigation I cut it down the middle and had a very RAW middle. It was so Raw you could not pull it apart. I gave it to the waitress who was very nice, and then the manager walks up to me, apologizes and hands me over the check and 50% off my meal. Seeing that I only had 1 Chicken Sandwich I decided to pay and not make a scene. I then prayed I didn't get food poisoning and left. Shrimp and clams were breaded and fried and scallops were sautéed. Scallops were ok, the rest were the greasy, dinner variety. Wife's steak was good, smoked first, and then grilled. However, not worth the price for a tiny, dingy, restaurant in a small airport. $24.99 for the wife and $28.99 for myself. One third of the price would be more on par.
