I'll continue shopping here simply because it's the only place in a 70 mile radius I can obtain some items, but they do not take any credit or debit, and I get mixed experiences from the employees whenever I go in. One day they'll be lovely and helpful, the next you get sneered at and get a put-out attitude when asking for help. The love-hate attitude is worth the bulk foods they sell, for the most part. I am new to the area and was pleased to run across this place. I've been in twice and the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. I just ran across their yelp listing when looking for their phone number. I was very surprised to read reviews about any political agenda (re: posts from around 2012). I encountered no such thing when I visited either time. If that would have happened I would have left. I remember one of the employees telling me about new owners, so I am guessing that whatever was going on before must have left with them. I will try to find out the next time I'm there. My experience was entirely positive. I had several questions about their items and they bent over backwards to help me find out the answers. I greatly appreciated that. I have very special food issues, so having a place like this is very helpful to me. Make a 45 minute drive to get here. read more

This is a great source in Grays Harbor County for bulk foods, non-organic/organic, food for emergencies, dried fruits, nuts, dairy products as well as gluten free foods and dairy free choices. They also have herbal and vitamin supplements. Look for quality spices, teas and even some ethnic foods. Re: their political & social agenda--sometimes you just have to remember why you went there, get your food, pay for it and leave. Give nice, get nice back. You can always sign an opposing petition elsewhere. I don't object to marriage equality. The employees have never harassed me about politics, religion or social issues. read more

Sometimes things can be a little spendy but other things can be found here cheaper than at the regular store. For a vegan on the Harbor this place has all the things you need for your meals. They don't look at you weird when you ask them for TVP or Veganaise. The new owners have the place looking good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. read more

I have only been in here once. I wanted to purchase some pepperoni sticks. I bought about 1 pound and paid cash. There was a sign posted that they take EBT and credit cards. The pepperoni was good and was pretty reasonably priced. read more

After reading other reviews i feel so happy i am not alone with my disguste for this place and the people who work there. Everytime i would ask for help or had a question the would act as if they really couldnt be botherd. their prices are quite a bit higher than most places on every item they sell. As they have a great selection of bulk foods one of the best ive seen. the prices for bulk i have noticed first hand by shopping in olympia are 2& 3 times greater and yes i drive there for my stuff now. I simply asked that maybe they would consider going down on price a little to keep my local buisness and keep me from ordering online....the owner refused and stated that her price was very competitive for my vitamins ..well there went a fifty dollar sale and me. read more

I used to buy around 60.00 per month of nuts and seeds here. One day while eating sunflower seeds [shelled] I felt a pain in my front tooth. There was a small rock/pebble mixed in with the seeds and I broke off off my front tooth. I went in after that, explained to the owner what had happened and told her she might want to put a "foreign material" warning label on the bins. She just looked at me like a cow stairing at a passing train. Anyway, my crown cost $1,000.00..Never been back. read more

My name is Linda Schimelpfenig, My daughter Erin and I were in your store today and my daughter asked if she could use the restroom and the store employee was very short and rude to her. My daughter is a very polite 22 year old woman and I did not feel that she deserved this treatment but I did not say any thing... We finished our shopping and I put my things on the counter.... Two of my items were the bulk candy you put in the bag your self.. as i put the two small zip lock bags on the counter (each bag had probably about 10 pieces in it) she picked them up and rudely told me " you didnt write the prices on the bag,, I nicely told her I didnt know I was suppose to.. she very rudely tossed them across the counter to me and told me the prices were on the container they were in.. one of the items were the red licorice pieces toward the back of the store on a table about waist high.. My eyesight is not very good but I squatted down there and sure enough there it was... so I wrote the prices on the bags and went up to the counter and tossed the bags back on the counter and told her I would not spend my money at your store and that I will never go in there again... and I wont...... AS THE STORE OWNER I FEEL THAT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO HIRE EMPLOYEES THAT ARE NOT RUDE... MY RATEING IS NO STARS read more

awsome place to get spices, health food, ect. great service! it would be 5 stars if they took cards but then again thats probably one of the reasons its so cheap. for example any where else you goo poppy seeds are around 6 bucks for 80g here it is 5.50 a pound! read more
