It was such a nice treat to be here since I hadn't been here to Spa Toscana since before Covid with a group of my friends from work. We checked in and I was called back by Karla almost immediately for my 50 minute signature massage. Karla was very friendly, kept my robe warm while she worked her magic on my knots. I felt like melted butter when I retired to the tranquility room. I was surprised to see how busy it was for a Monday afternoon, but happy to see they steadily busy. We took advantage of the steam room, snacks, tea and a few amenities before calling it a day and returning to our families. Thank you Karla and to my bestie for such a sweet birthday gift. We'll see you again in August to celebrate my bestie's birthday. Tip: They offer a local discount if you go during the week. I don't believe they offer it on Fridays, but do call ahead to confirm.

I love Jackie!…read more What an amazing healer. I really had a stressful week, needed some self care and Jackie did not disappoint. I scheduled a deep tissue massage (last minute, I'm sorry to the spa), but my therapist was Jackie. I'm not kidding when I tell you it was the best massage of my life. It is my birthday month, hence we've been here many times this February, and I am revisiting Jackie. I literally told her I loved her after my massage. Lol Moving forward, I called a few days ago to schedule (not trying to last minute this one) and I asked for Jackie and my same treatment. The spa was so accommodating and Jackie was available. #happy We used to always stay at Atlantis, and I would spa there while the hubby skis, but when we started this Peppermill spa and casino, YES! I'm so in love with the experiences I have here. That's why we are back next week ;) Thank you Spa Toscana, Peppermill and Jackie most of all! I will be back again, for sure.

I have pretty advanced scoliosis and I'm on a quest to find a reliable massage spot…read more Tl;dr after coming here a few times, I'm still looking. It's just kinda... weird vibes?? With an appointment, I ended up waiting almost 10 minutes, while (I assumed) my room was being prepped. Guess not because the face towels that were supposed to be warm felt like scratchy dry brand new never-been-washed towels 2/3 times I visited. For my most recent, my massage was on a regular table but instead of a cloth on the face cradle, it was a paper towel....... The hall door was OPEN during the better part of my last 90 minute massage...... Hearing people talking in the hallway and wondering if they could see my body if they walked by was not peaceful. They did some interesting limb bendy stuff on me that I think was trying to emulate Thai massage style, but it was just twisting my body in odd ways that felt weird with my scoliosis (which I'd already told them I had so idk why they did that). I kept waiting for them to return back to/take extra time to focus on the areas I designated on the tablet where my back muscles reallllly need extra care after moving to my lower body, but I am pretty sure they've never looked at my diagram any of the times I've been because this experience is consistent with all 3 visits I've had there. Came across my biggest pet peeve which is having stretches of time over a minute where it feels like the masseuse is just lightly spreading oil on my skin longer than necessary to run up the time. For these reasons and others, I was quite uncomfortable at this place and won't be back a 4th time. I really wanted to give it a chance and give the benefit of the doubt with more chances but 3 bad massages is a LOT of money to drop w little return for a public school teacher. Despite all that, the front desk staff was pleasant and the location is super convenient!! The quest for a massage that can soothe my tight scoliosis muscles continues.

I have been using the wellness therapies (Salt room, oxygen, RIFE and EE system) as I heal from severe sinusitis and these sessions have really speeded up my recovery. The space is so unique, peaceful, and relaxing, and the team is incredibly knowledgeable. We enjoyed delicious food, champagne, and multiple juice options while spending the day there. There are so many wellness therapies to choose from with the group package. I chose the Feng Shui Steam Pod, added the hot coconut oil scalp massage, and did the Amethyst Biomat & Chi Machine. We also got to check out the Salt Room, which honestly might have been my favorite part! Everything felt so thoughtfully done, and the atmosphere was amazing. I already can't wait to go back and try more therapies. Definitely the best spa in Reno -- highly recommend!

I gave her the opportunity to fix her mistakes and she left bleach in the back section of my hair. She caused more damaged and still botched the tone leaving my hair uneven and ruined!!! I'll have to pay another stylist over $300 to correct. Keep your money and run! Owner disregarded my concerns. Leaving bleach in someone's hair can cause a scalp burn. I will be taking this stylist to small claims to recoup everything and also have submitted a complaint to the Board of cosmetology.

I got eyelash extensions for the first time. I forgot the name of the woman that did the service…read moreand she was nice... although all the pictures I was showing her of the lash extension inspiration pictures (classic set) she kept saying it's not worth it. She also kept saying it's not lash extensions and that those (my pictures, of other lash techs with the name of the set and the length of the lash) rather they were a perm and tint. So already she was lying for no reason. She then said okay to one of the pictures I showed her of the classic sets, I laid down already iffy since she lied about other pictures not being extensions. And when I got up from the service I wanted to cry and tell her to take them ALL off. They were a volume set and I hated them, I felt ugly and you could visibly see it on my face. She kept saying she purposely put more since a ton fall out and that in 2 or 3 days they will be that perfect classic set. I told her to take them off or at least some off and she said it won't be worth it because then in those 2 of 3 days I won't have any more lashes. At this point I just wanted to leave. The next day my eye lids hurt super bad, they were sore when I blinked and hurt to touch. I later found out that this was not normal. She also glued more than one hair to the extension causing extra pain. I felt ridiculous with the lashes on and as soon as it stopped hurting to touch I would try my best every day to take as many lashes as I could off. This experience made me never want lash extensions ever again. I don't have pictures of them because I just hated them so much but I'll add sort of what I wanted and what I got.
