Went here for brunch with hubby and the service was bad due to long wait time for food. Waited like 30 min for appetizers. The food was good can't say I it was bad. The ambiance of the seating was nice outdoor.

Came here for my lunch break. The place was pretty empty. Nothing special about the ambiance. This is Guatemalan style food; It sucked they don't have birria tacos on the menu, so I ordered chicken tacos instead. It took 30 mins for me to receive it, but at least it's fresh. The chicken could have been juicier. A little salty but at least it had flavor. I'm a fan of the corn tortilla. They could have been more generous with the cilantro. And it only came with one sauce, salsa verde. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I had better.

Didn't realize that portions were so big...

(Delivery review) I was craving Mexican food but my go-to is closed on Sundays. I decided to try something new and based my decision on the fact that Maya has tamales (if you read my reviews, I'm always after places with tamales haha). While scrolling through the menu, I was surprised by the cheap prices (and noticed some things were cheaper on Grubhub vs the online menu on their actual website). My fiancé and I decided to dabble in quite a few things...well, by my photo, 20 menu items. We thought that portions were small because of the $2-3 menu prices. Well to our surprise when delivery arrived a few minutes early, we may have gone overboard. The portions were HUGE. To my surprise (and boy, what a great surprise), the tamales were massive! Everything tasted SO good and I'm proud of myself for branching out and trying new flavors (I'm not a huge Guatemalan food fan but I tried some anyways). I loved every item that we purchased. I'm excited to know that Maya will now be on our list of take out places.

Was recommend this place by a friend which was great because it had Guatemalan dishes which my family is from. So decided to check out the spots. The parking situation is a bit weird they have a parking lot behind but there are residential parking spots so you kind of have to read the signs that tell you where to park and cannot park. You have the option to sit inside or outside. Sitting outside is nice but there were a bunch of bugs flying around and for some reason a lot of birds were attracted to the spot. But the. Menu has a great selection of food ranging from Guatemalan, Mexican, Peruvian which was interesting. I couldn't decide what to get so I got the burrito. It was an okay burrito. Nothing special. They had seafood which was I was told was not great. And the enchiladas were decent. What really was great was that they had Gallo which is the best Guatemalan beer. Probably the only thing that was exciting about this spot in my opinion. I would try it out again but try the other foods that they have.

    Shady shady!

The most expensive nachos I have ever eaten. If you are non Hispanic they will stick u with a price. I did not want meat on my nachos, quack instead, this is what they charge for substitution! And manager doesn't even speak English, I left really really unhappy.

This is probably my favorite latin restaurant in Stamford. Service is great, wait staff is attentive. Food is GREAT large portions, very tasty. Additionally the kitchen accommodated our requests (green sauce, pico on the side). The best part is the food is fairly prices for the amount you get. Very clean and a bakery inside.

Free chips and salsa... best served with a cold beer

So everyone has an off night. 1st. Hubby wanted a particular steak dish. Waitress said it came with rice salad and sausage thing... it came with plantains and eggs neither he wanted. No salad and no beans. Ok. I ordered a pupusa and an entree of fried chicken... the pupusa came out. Cheese but no chichacrone (sp?) Just flecks of what could be meat... Fried chicken???? Didn't show up. First time my entree anywhere went MIA. Like seriously. Service is usually hit and miss... today was a miss. Ladies are always nice and friendly when they're waved down. I give them credit, they were busy running around making drinks (no bartender) taking orders and so forth. Normally I'm laid back chill and can laugh off little crap when it comes to service but FUCK no food and no service... 20 minutes wait for a check to leave... Honestly we won't come back for a sit down meal. Takeout yes... maybe.... if I'm craving a pupusa but then again there's other places to buy one... Waitstaff needs to touch tables. It's rule 101.

The Maya is hands down the best restaurant in the area. The lomo saltado with the aji sauce is a must try. I cannot wait to go back.

I got the chicken pimiento and spicy margarita, highly recommend both. Also, our party had brought our own cake for my uncle's birthday, and I knew I couldn't eat it and didn't mind, but the staff brought me out my own personal little gluten free chocolate cake, and it was a delicious surprise!! I was so grateful for this that I will definitely be back :)

I was lucky to snag the last outdoor patio table available as there were no reservations available when I looked earlier in the day. My server was friendly and helped me to select a delicious nebiollo wine to accompany my meal. The menu is all tapas, and three were plenty for one person. I ordered my favorite, jamon Iberico, chorizo, and the grilled broccoli. Out of all three items, the broccoli was the "star" of the meal! It had a hint of charcoal flavor from the grill, and was topped with caramelized shallots and sliced red chilis. The jamon Iberico was not the freshly sliced that I expected, but seemed to be the prepackaged version. I should've inquired in advance about the chorizo preparation. It was the dried chorizo, thinly sliced, not to cooked kind. Overall, my meal was good, but I would order different meat items if visiting in the future.

Everything about Cosecha's is great. I'm not a Colombian food expert, so I can't say if it was traditional or not. But we really liked what we had!! We had a few empanadas as appetizers. They were really good. Nice crispy outside, and stuffed full on the inside. We could tell they were freshly handmade. They were clearly not frozen. The coffee is perfect. It had a robust coffee flavor. Not a bitter or burnt flavor, but a full coffee flavor, with a slight hint of cocoa. Staff is very friendly and attentive. They know all the dishes. I wasn't sure what to order. I told the waitress I was really hungry and asked what's popular. She suggested Calentado. It's a dish with eggs, rice & beans, meat, and cheese topped arepa. Meat choices are chicken, steak, ground beef, or chorizo. I tried the chicken. The waitress recommended scrambled eggs with onions and peppers. Our food came out very quickly. The plates of food were enormous. Each plate had enough food for two people. And everything was great! They have a large assortment of pastries and desserts up front. Unfortunately, I was too full to try any. They seem to be very popular in the neighborhood. While we ate, we noticed the staff joke around with people who popped in for coffee, sandwiches, or desserts. There are a lot of regulars. Tables, counters, and floors are clean. Take out refrigerators are stocked well. Popular music plays at proper levels. Loud enough that you can hear it, but not so loud that you can't hear each other. We will definitely be back again for breakfast. We will also come back for lunch, dinner, and desserts. Check it out if you're in the area.
