I knew from the first dip of the crab Rangoon into the sweet and sour sauce that this is NOT your strip mall Chinese restaurant! This is made from scratch daily Chinese and American dishes - including prime steak! I had the Kung Pao and my wife had the Shrimp and Vegetables (broth, not some sauce from a plastic bottle). Unlike anything I've ever had!! Even had a house made spicy sauce that was amazing! The place is in a weird location surrounded by commercial businesses, but the building is super cute and like something out of a movie on the inside. Also like out of a movie, the cook - Amy and her main dishwasher, her husband at another time and greeted every table. It was super sweet and I want to be their friends!! Their son also is there and he was super polite and welcoming. If I were you, I would get in your car and drive, hours if need be. It's worth it!!

Best kept secret in Butler county! The perfect blend of nostalgia, an unexpected menu and charming owners. We saw the reviews and decided to give it a try. Family owned and run with love and pride in their food. Ricky, the owner, will entertain you with his backstory if you're lucky. He made sure to remember our names for our next visit! Absolutely save room for the house made desserts!!!

Egg Roll - some of the best spices I've ever had in an eggroll! Delicious and fresh!!! Made from scratch.

As of Oct 2019 the classic "Meadows" is under new management. The food is now both Asian inspired and American. They are open for lunch, which is needed in this area! I had an excellent chat with the owner, and was served a scrumptious skirt steak combo, with the best eggroll I have ever eaten (pictures attached). Everything is made from scratch including the apricot sauce for the eggroll, and hot mustard. The owners have a passion and they are moving forward with it, so throw some support their way! A must try!

Prime rib was the special but was pretty tough. Alfredo was ok. Pork chops good. Nice atmosphere and pretty good service.

This place is a throwback of the 50's. The food and presentation is amazing. I highly recommend this Resturant.

Broken Barrel Bar And Grill - Chicken Sammy w/sweet potato fries

Enjoyed pretzel balls and beer cheese as app. My wife went with the BBQ chicken pizza for dinner, I did the sweet and spicy burger. Both were awesome! I took home bread pudding for dessert which put me in a proper food coma. I wish I would have grabbed out servers name because she was super. Definitely want to go back and try other things on the menu!

These were more like a steak fry cut than wedges, but man alive were they good. An actual fresh cooked sweet potato. I choose that option often and these were the absolute best I have ever tasted. The burgers were excellent though they use leaf lettuce instead of iceberg. I took the barrel sauce on the side. It is a spicy ketchup aioli and went well on the burger and for dipping potatoes. I also got some mayo on the side, happy to report no charge on that as some places do. The Reuben balls were out of this world. Plenty of meat, cheese and kraut with the proper amount of crunchy breading. I could even taste caraway so it was just like mini hot Reuben sandwiches. All the above food items are highly recommended. Looking at the redesigned menu it seems they want to stress restaurant over bar which is as it should be with this quality of food. The atmosphere would be enhanced in my opinion if the staff dressed up a bit. They were all extremely casually dressed. The main dining room is all tables; if you want a booth there are a few at the rear of the bar side. They have a good sized outdoor space, but a view of Central Avenue in Middletown does not really grab me. There were a lot of people dining outside. Our waitress was very enthusiastic about the food - with good reason- and answered many questions. She checked on us appropriately though the food was delivered by other people. I don't like that practice. There was one wrinkle, my husband wanted the baked potato but his burger showed up with fries. The correct item came shortly, with apologies, and we got to keep the fries too! We will gladly return and you should too.

Places located in a strip mall while it did have good reviews it was in a seemingly seedyD edge of town. It's been my experience anytime you're near a convenience store that has those weird LED lights strong about the windows it's not the best area but I digress. The parking lot is super weird and it seems like you just kind of Park wherever you want there's no real method and it seems like they lose out on about 15 parking spots because it's not painted. The place is decorated rather nicely and they have a lot of Bourbons I really enjoy Corona na but nobody seems to carry it and this place was no exception so I had a Stella na instead. My wife and I were not famished so we both ordered a pretty simple house salad and we split a plate of chicken tenders which came with fries and coleslaw. You really can't screw up a salad too badly and they did pretty good here the chicken tenders were way overcooked chicken should not be that tough and you can tell by the breading that it was a lot darker than it was supposed to be but I still ate it. Not that it wasn't inedible I just wish it was not cooked as long. Pretty good portion of french fries coleslaw seems like it was standard food service coleslaw. Although I'm not drinking anymore they did have a whole boatload of Bourbons which in my younger days I probably would have tested quite a few of them so their name is true to the inventory. Music was a tad loud I kind of wish they had the ami jukebox where you can take it over and play your music either that or put the baseball game on something like that. Only reason for four stars was the overcooked chicken tenders. Decent place.
