It got everything you could ever want in a burger: grilled mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, bacon, and avocado. Was definitely a challenge to eat but everything worked well together. The patty was fresh and the buns were well-toasted too. I enjoyed their Chicken Tortilla soup as well. Very creamy, not too heavy. Full of chicken pieces and paired well with the crispy side tortillas. The Pastrami Sandwich though...Was very salty. I couldn't have more than one bite sadly. The most recent review for this place is quite old so I was worried that they closed up. Happy to see the lights still on. This circa 50's diner has been here forever. Technically not actually on Canyon although the back of the place is. On street parking and there is a small mall adjacent with more parking. Run by a lovely old couple. I say old although the wife is probably around my Daughter's age. Cheerful and energetic greeting and service. It's almost like dropping in to visit my favorite aunt. Food is good and reasonably priced considering what you get. Burger and a beer for $20 +tip. Fries are ok. They are the shoestring type and tasty. I prefer the full sized big brothers. Burgers (I like the 50-50) are good. World's greatest? Nope... sorry. I don't think that's what they strive to be. They are just a nice, quiet, friendly, neighborhood eatery trying to make a living which can't be easy these days. Ample inside seating although nothing fancy. Also a few tables outside which is very pleasant watching the world go by if it's not raining. I do prefer to sit outside with my Harley parked close to me. While, they're known for their hamburgers, their Cobb salad was excellent! Fresh grilled chicken breast, with ample amounts of greens, avocado, blue cheese, and onions. While the typical offering includes a blue cheese dressing, I opted for ranch. They must make their own ranch because it was thick creamy and so so good! Great little place with limited inside seating and additional covered seating outside. Had the Canyon Burger and it was amazing, good size patty with Swiss, bacon, avocado, mushrooms, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and their signature Canyon sauce. The meat quality was good and the patty had very good flavor. The buns were fresh, the add ons were properly grilled, and the Canyon sauce (Mayo, Sriracha, roasted and minced red peppers as far as I can tell) is a perfect finish to the burger. Be aware that it is slippery and may require a fork if you are wearing light colored clothes The fries were fresh off the fryer and of the shoestring variety. Oil was fresh and there were no off flavors (a variety of sauces were offered to dip them in, I chose the Canyon Sauce. Old fashioned hand dipped milkshakes are available (yummy) and in a great variety of flavors. You should definitely stop by and enjoy the offerings, you will be glad you did. Used to have some of the best burgers in town, then something changed. The buns aren't as good, the patties less juicy and the fries are just plain ordinary frozen fries. So dissatisfied by the changes and the unfortunate choice to mess with the best. On the plus side the service was fast efficient and friendly. Couple of friends ended up as new owners, so I had to go try it out. The recipes and cook haven't changed, as I understand it. Hands down one of the best burgers in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area. Beats Five Guys and Killer Burger without breaking a sweat. The sauces are homemade and delicious, although I found the Canyon Sauce a little too spicy for my liking. Still was tasty though. I've driven by this place many times. I found their use Of hyperbole on their signs obnoxious "last chance for good food" "best burger in the city". I honestly had non intention on ever trying but my Yelp brethren seemed to think they were worth it. Oh it was!!! I got the brisket burger. I'm a big fan of mixing proteins when it comes to a sandwich or burger. The brisket is nothing special. In fact I would go so far as to call it the weakest ingredient. The burger was really juicy. Cooked a little more well than I like but it ranks among the better ones. I want the blue pecan spread on everything. More sandwiches need this. The bun is perfect for the burger. One of the only drawbacks is that the burger is a mess. It also needs an acidic note so I got bbq sauce too. I was actually most impressed by the fries. Imagine if McDonald's made fries for adults. Great texture, good seasoning, consistently cooked. There was nothing left. Parking is a little strange.
