Did not know about the place till one of my dear friends came across their limited PROMO special ( still happening). I was told that the place has been there for about 2 yrs. It's actually right by Khol's. Initially called the number on the promo invite few times and left msgs. No one called back but if you send a text, someone will respond. Sara responded to my text and was able to easily book an appt for myself and hubby on different time slots. The day of the scheduled appt, hubby received a text that his 1200 appt was cancelled due to Sara ( aesthetician ) was not feeling well. Then few minutes after, I received a cancellation via text for my 1pm appt. Good thing I sent a text to the number I received from Sara's (consultant) and she confirmed that my appt was still on the book. Decided to go. Met with Sara ( consultant) . Was also able to re-schedule hubby's appt pretty quickly onsite . There were other treatments available that The SPA offers in addition to hydrofacials ( PROMO ). Definitely worth checking it out. Monica was the one that did my facial was very friendly and was informing me of what she was going to do before she starts doing it. Talked about what to expect . Plenty of parking. I was informed about the complimentary cellulite service, so I couldn't resist with booking an appt. with The Med Spa Boutique promptly after viewing this amazing deal! Rita was my esthetician today and she helped me relax prior & during the entire cellulite treatment. She was sweet to ask if I needed a blanket or a pillow, and I kindly requested a pillow and some water since I barely woke up again prior to my appt today. All the staff here are very professional, friendly and NOT pushy at all. No longer need to drive to La Jolla for similar treatments when this med spa is a more convenient location, since closer to home. This place is a joke lol. They ask you to write a good yelp review to get free services, which is why all their reviews are 5 stars. All they care about is you buying their packages and memberships after pressuring you nonstop. Sarah is extremely unprofessional and even went out of her way to leave a rude comment on a customers instagram that was talking about her experience here. This salon seems like all they care about is a money grab, and don't value their customers time or money. As you can tell, they filter bad reviews with their fake 5 star reviews. Today, May 7, 2026, I visited The Med Spa after seeing a Facebook promotion for the Hydrolift facial for $49. I will say that the facial itself made my skin look and feel really good afterward, so I can honestly give credit for the actual treatment. However, overall customer service is about much more than the procedure -- it's about the entire experience from the moment you walk in. My aesthetician, Monica, answered my questions, but the interaction felt very short and disconnected. I tried making conversation to better understand the services they offer, but the responses felt rushed and not very welcoming. It made the experience feel uncomfortable and somewhat forced rather than genuine. After the treatment, I met with Sarah for a consultation about future goals and recommended services. She was polished and knowledgeable, and you could tell she takes pride in aesthetics and skincare. However, the consultation itself felt heavily sales-focused. I understand that med spas offer promotions and packages, but it felt like there was pressure to purchase services on the spot because the deals were "only available that day." At one point, Sarah kept getting up during our conversation to help check in other clients, which made the interaction feel distracted and impersonal. When I explained that it's my birthday month, I have travel plans to Cabo, and I'm currently managing a lot of expenses, I noticed a shift in the energy after I declined additional services. It gave me the impression that the friendliness was tied more to making a sale than building a genuine client relationship. They also ask for tips starting at 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% and up, which is completely optional, but personally I didn't feel the experience justified leaving one. For me, exceptional customer service means making clients feel comfortable, welcomed, heard, and valued not pressured. I would rather drive farther, even to Moreno Valley or Mexico, if it means receiving authentic service where people make you feel relaxed and appreciated instead of feeling like you're being sold to the entire time. The Hydrolift facial itself was nice and my skin does look refreshed, but the atmosphere and interactions felt overly commercial and not very genuine. Hopefully this feedback helps improve the client experience moving forward. read more

Worst experience I have ever had. I can't even get a return phone call. Last year, I purchased a package for hair growth treatments along with additional services. My first experience was great -- the staff was attentive and checked up on me throughout the treatment. Unfortunately, my second experience was completely different. I was forgotten in the treatment room while my treatment was still going. I even called the office while I was sitting in the room, but no one answered, even though I could hear staff laughing and talking in the office area. I eventually had to remove the treatment machines myself. After that incident, it took over a week to get another appointment scheduled. No one ever answers the phone or returns calls. The only person who genuinely tried to help me was Lynette, but now I cannot get ahold of her either. I was also told that the owners would be contacting me regarding my concerns, but I have still not received a call. To make matters worse, during my first hair treatment appointment, the nurse assisting me began cleaning my face and preparing for a facial peel treatment. I had to stop her and explain that I was there for a hair treatment, not a facial peel. Her response was very nonchalant, simply saying, "Oh, okay." That was extremely concerning to me because if I had not spoken up, she would have continued with the wrong procedure. Due to the lack of communication, poor customer service, and inability to properly schedule or provide my treatments, I requested a refund for the treatments I never received. They offered me free treatments instead, but at this point I no longer feel comfortable continuing services there. I simply want a full refund. read more

I booked a spot online then confirmed with a text this morning for 12pm and the manager calls me literally 15min before my appointment to say there's nothing available with her @12pm!! (I'm in the parking lot now) So, you are telling me that you couldn't call and tell me this @9am when I text to confirm? I began doing business here a-few months ago, I had a large purchase for a treatment that I later found out I did not need for my type of skin and age, they straight up, up sold me. Being a young male I don't know too much about these things. But I do know I payed a lot about 2k and I did not need that treatment. Now I'm stuck because they don't document anything to show proof of what I am being charged. I will need to escalate this if I don't get the results and fees I want. They also lie about what they promise during the initial consultation. They don't honor what they say. They need more organization and transparency. Caution. Don't get ripped off or over charged. I had to live over 1 month with 2 hard dead nipples. I truly believe he had no idea what to do, he thought they would heal and everything would be happy dandy. About a month later I went in for him to completely tear off my right dead nipple and then half of my left nipple luckily I was able to keep some of my left nipple. The T incisions became infected leaving me with gaping holes the size of silver dollars. I was then connected to a wound vac to both of my breasts for damn near 2 months to heal my holes and non existent right nipple. Almost A YEAR LATER, he finally put my implants in again and lo and behold they were smaller thank god but SMALLER!!! Tiny!! Doesn't even look like a boob job they are saggy and so sad!!! Once my implants finally healed, he "googled" some tattoo shops to tattoo me a nipple and sent me on my way, oh I also had to pay for the nipple I lost because of him. Please for the love of god to NOT GO HERE!!!! Save yourself and your body. This has been the most traumatic experience I have ever gone through in my entire life. I just wanted to get my boobs fixed from childbirth and having 2 completely different sized breasts my whole life, to coming out looking like a damn freak!!!!!! I will never be the same again

I saw Danielle today 8/28/2026 for my monthly facial, she's wonderful and sweet. Thank you for what you all do. And I originally came for a facial promotion and we had a consultation prior to my treatment, which was very helpful because they explained all the different options I have for my skin and my body. And since then I had purchased a package of facials that I come in monthly and I'm absolutely loving the results. I'm seeing a huge difference in my skin before and after. The promo treatment was ok, but for what they said was the full price I would never pay that for the level of service. Then they try to pressure you into buying packages and claim to be giving half off if you book that day, the the half off prices are higher than the regular price at most other med spas. I started applying chamomile compounds to help relief the symptoms, which by the 10th day were worse. Googled the symptoms and apparently were from brow ptosis; I felt hopeful because it said I was not losing my vision (that's how it felt on right eye). While I was told the injector would call me, I never got a call to at least do an evaluation. I do recommend the place for facials, however, based on my experience with Botox and the injector, I would never get Botox there again nor recommend it to anyone.

Also part you lay your face in on the table was also very uncomfortable on my face and neck and not cushioned at all unlike literally every other place I've gotten a massage at. So then she moves me to the actual "massage room" and it looks identical to the room I was already in. Table was also wobbly. Face hole was again uncomfortable. Massage was ok at best. When I was done I had an insane indent in my face from the uncushioned face hole. When I was checking out I let the front desk woman know about how wobbly the tables were and how distracting it was to my experience and showed her my face dent and she tried to tell me it was normal. Yes some imprinting on your face is normal from a massage but not like this. Worst massage experience I've ever had, unprofessional staff and unapologetic about it. Don't give them your money

This was the first time I have ever walked out of a facial feeling anxious, upset, and emotionally drained instead of relaxed. I honestly don't want to come back. The only reason I will is because I already purchased a package with several prepaid visits remaining. Otherwise, this would have been my last appointment. The facial itself started like every other appointment. We discussed my skin concerns, the esthetician made recommendations, and everything seemed completely normal. In the past, other estheticians have asked if I'd prefer to relax quietly or have a conversation. This time, I wasn't given that choice. The conversation just started. I was in the mood to chat, so I didn't think anything of it. We talked about the holiday and other everyday things. Then, the conversation took a turn that left me completely shocked. The esthetician began making repeated derogatory comments about Hispanic people. They said Hispanic people "take advantage of the system" by collecting government benefits instead of working hard. They said Hispanics "need to speak English because this is an English speaking country." They said Hispanics are "uneducated" and "don't want to learn." The comments kept coming, each one painting an entire community with the same hateful stereotype. I couldn't believe I was hearing this while paying for a facial. The irony is impossible to ignore. This business is located in Chula Vista, a city whose name is literally Spanish for "Beautiful View." Chula Vista is one of the most culturally diverse cities in San Diego County, and a large part of its community is Hispanic and Latino. I would be surprised if many of this spa's clients weren't Hispanic. Imagine paying for a relaxing facial only to hear someone making degrading comments about your culture, your family, or your community. I couldn't just walk away and stay silent. I respectfully challenged the stereotypes and tried to explain why those comments were harmful. But that should never have been my responsibility. I paid for a facial, not to spend my appointment educating someone on why racism and prejudice are unacceptable. What disturbed me just as much as the comments themselves was how comfortable the esthetician seemed saying them. There wasn't any hesitation. It wasn't said as a joke or a passing remark. It was an ongoing conversation filled with stereotypes and discriminatory statements about an entire ethnic group. That level of comfort raises serious concerns about the environment this business has created. Whether it's a lack of training, accountability, or leadership, no employee should ever feel comfortable expressing those views to a paying customer while representing a business. A spa is supposed to be a place where people feel welcomed, safe, and cared for. Instead, I left feeling uncomfortable, anxious, saddened, and disappointed. The experience stayed with me long after I walked out the door. I debated about writing this review because my previous experiences here had been positive. I even lost sleep over it. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized about the people who come here expecting a safe and welcoming environment. They deserve to know what happened to me before deciding where to spend their money. Everyone has different opinions, and that's not the issue. The issue is that a paying customer was subjected to repeated derogatory comments about an entire ethnic group during a service that was supposed to be relaxing. That should never happen in any professional setting. Once I finish the prepaid services I already have, I won't be returning. I'll be spending my hard earned money supporting businesses that make every customer feel respected and welcomed, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or background.
