Its been a few months and I feel fantastic again. The office staff - Lady at the check in counter is very nice. Always pleasant but also all business. Nurses and P/A staff were amazing. One of my procedures made me very uncomfortable and nervous. He had no patience for me and my concerns or the fact that the process was very uncomfortable for me I only saw him for that one procedure, the consultant before my surgery for 10 minutes and the day of my surgery Overall everything went well but I would have liked things a lot better had we had conversations about what was happening. Dr. Rauch and West Ga. Urology will be my first call for help in this area of medicine. The procedure was performed in such a way that it was as comfortable as it could possibly be. It did hurt a bit, but, needles and scalpels used within the scope of a Urologist probably isn't EVER going to be all sunshine and rainbows. Some of the reviews posted give low ratings due to things that are outside of the reasonable control of the staff i.e. "it was painful so I gave them 1 star"........pretty stupid and useless review. Also, if you don't know if you need a Proctologist, Urologist, or a Gynecologist to address your personal needs........we have "Google" to tell us what each of those professions handle. Google is free and readily available pretty much everywhere. If you don't have your own way to Google something, pretty much anyone will do it for you. If technology isn't quite your thing, which if you are reading this then you'll manage, regular ol' dictionaries or World Book encyclopedias are also your friend. Urological visits are logically less fun than a day at the beach, fishing, playing with your dog, having drinks with friends, skydiving, swimming with dolphins, watching the miracle of the Galapogos Green Sea Turtles hatching and finding their way to the cool ocean waters, hiking the trails of the Easter Islands and meandering amongst the monolithic Moai while you reflect on all of the possibilities of their creation, and bacon. These folks run a very good, very efficient, and very friendly operation, for a LOT of customers, and on the MANY times I've come in to pick something up, I've never heard another customer with a serious complaint. If you call ahead, the order is ready when you get there (unless the doctor or insurance company has been tardy updating the prescription). The pick-up is fast and courteous, and if something does go wrong, for whatever reason, they fix it on the spot. When I need advice about a particular drug or treatment, Drew and his crew are always ready to give GOOD, PRACTICAL advice. In emergencies, they will usually volunteer to open up the shop and/or deliver if necessary. My mother lives in an assisted living facility, and Wynn's "bubble packs" her several prescriptions into grouped doses for each of the several times a day when she gets something, and then delivers the bubble packs to her facility. Yes, you can sometimes get some things a little more cheaply from the Insurance company pharmacy. Personally, I GLADLY pay the small amounts extra to be able to take advantage of the excellent service and advice Wynn's provides.

I wasted so much time and money traveling here to be seen by Dr. Buchanan only for her to tell me 5 months later that my needs were too great for her to handle and that I needed to go see another doctor because she already has a full roster of allergy patients and can't handle the high demands of complex chronic illness cases. If she knew she had too many chronic illness patients, why did she take me on in the first place? I waited YEARS for this appointment only to end up exactly where I was before I started, with more medical trauma. People with chronic illness know that the naturopathic doctor world often tries to take advantage of us by not taking insurance, selling us supplements and coercing us into expensive, useless testing, so after I left that doctor for Dr. Buchanan I was so hopeful for a change. I'm so disappointed. She even recommended that I go back to see people like this who don't take insurance so I would feel that my needs were being met. All I wanted was someone to respond to an email I sent. I reported SEVERE side effects of medications she prescribed and then no one responded to me for over a month. I persisted in asking for a response from the office, what I should do, etc. and my final phone call with the office was her telling me that my needs were too great and that this was not a good fit, and that the majority of my needs for this should be dealt with by my primary doctor--a person who knows nothing about the chronic condition I was specifically referred to Dr. Buchanan to see, the condition that Dr. Buchanan is an expert in. Every other conversation I had with a nurse or Dr. Buchanan did not result in 1 single apology for what happened to me at their medication direction, and they gaslit me the whole time telling me this is a normal dose and that I should not have had that reaction.
