Was here 5 months ago and had a sub-par experience. Having left a scathing review (and not wanting to go to Eureka) I decided it was high time I give The Melt a second chance. Because of my last experience I immediately cut my burger in half to make sure it was cooked better than the last one and it certainly was. With a photo as evidence out of the way I sat down and took a bite. Believe it or not I was rather startled at how wonderful the burger tasted. I suppose that serves as a testament to how disappointed I was during my previous visit and pleasurable it was to taste a burger that was cooked done yet still able to retain its juciness. I could go on about how amazing the fries were and how stimulating their choices of fountain beverages are, but why belabor the point. In her reply the business representative, (one Nadja E.) told me to give The Melt another chance and that I would not regret it. To her I say: I just did Nadja. You were right! The bacon ranch fries were good, topped with a great ratio of dressing and cheese. The portion is the smallest of all items just so you know. The Bacon Cheddar Mac and Cheese is soooooooo good! Gotta try it. It's a big portion and worth every cent! The patty melt puts the name in melt. Cheesy yumminess with the perfect blend of patty and caramelized onions. The grilled cheese was mouth watering, simple flavors that pack a punch. Every sandwich is served with a half a pickle spear that crunches with each bite. I love this place but I was so disappointed tonite. I am sick and finally worked up an appetite after all day. I got a raw burger in messy containers. The fries were good but the garlic and oil dripped to the bottom and it was sooo strong. I gave this place three stars because last time I tried it, it was a perfectly tidy, tasty burger. Ordered Doordash from here late at night and the food was quite decent. I ordered the Mac & Cheese along with the Italian Job Cheese and both were great and filling! The Italian Job cheese was cooked well and the bread along with the cheese was perfect, however the meat was a bit dry, not surprised and no complaints there! I've been to the Melt before at their Irvine location and they've lived up to my expectations :) Great food for the price and a good option past 11PM for anyone who's hungry. read more

A solid lunch spot to stop by! Very good food in all aspects, very fresh as advertised and authentic compared to other places, milkshakes are worth it! Lemonades are very tasty and fresh! The condiments and utensils are all accesible as well, very convenient to have I do banking around the area so I often stop by here! That being said the whole staff is very professional and friendly. Bianca is wonderful! Always very kind and inviting!I appreciate the staff for their hard work and excellent service as well. Inside and outside seating and well presentable too, definitely one of my go to spots! WARNING: Walked in ordered 2 chicken sandwiches to go. Got home and both chicken patties were raw. Staff seemed exhausted and passively aggressive which is understandable considering it's hard work. In any case check before you bite. Raw chicken is not like steak. It is most likely infected with harmful bacteria and possible parasites. I had to write this as a health warning. I was craving a burger and needed a place with gluten free bun! This place is casual and more of an upscale fast food place! The tables were clean but the floors could have been cleaner. All of the staff were super nice and it was great to see when your food would be ready on the screen! I used the iPad to order and it was great to not feel like we were holding anybody up. We had a person come in and panhandle while we were sitting down to eat there but sometimes I feel like you can't avoid that. Currently still waiting for an order placed over 40 minutes ago. Was told on the phone it would be 10-12 minutes for the order- one sandwich, that's it. Overheard someone else had been waiting 45 minutes for his order and had to go back to work, and the employees were unapologetic and did nothing towards making it right. Finally got the sandwich 45 minutes after ordering, 30 minutes after the ticket had been printed (and after asking about the food a few times). The food itself was good in theory, but cold, and the peppers and jalapeños in the steak and cheese sandwich raw. The steak was cooked well and the sauce tasty, and the fact that they have gluten free bread options that aren't terrible is a definite plus, but I can't say I'll be back. 3/5 for the food, 0/5 for customer service and overall experience. If the execution got an overhaul, it could be a good one. Maybe we hit it on a bad day, but I'd spend your time and money elsewhere. read more

So so good. I literally couldn't get enough and had to go back and order more. Staff is super friendly & welcoming. I like the location as well, but the parking sucks. Only bad thing really was we ordered two cesar salads and both didn't receive the dressing How can we eat a cesar salad without the cesar dressing?! Also the crutons were cool with cheese in the middle of them, but soft and not satisfying to eat unfortunately. Mac and cheese was good but nothing out of this world! May have come here on an off night or with higher expectations than I should've had based off of the stellar Yelp reviews. I ordered the Melt Burger and was advised by the cashier that the patty would be made medium rare. Sweet! That's how I like my beef cooked. However, the patty had no pinkness in the center and was not only dry, but bland. Had the cashier not mentioned the patty would be medium rare, my expectation for it wouldn't have been set. The melted cheese and buttered bun made up for what the patty lacked in flavor and tenderness. My side of Mini Mac also left me a little bummed out, for a place called "The Melt," the shredded cheese on top of the Mini Mac wasn't melted at all. I also found it lacking in flavor, and ended up going back to the counter to order their Garlic Parmesan Fries to eat with my burger. The fries were probably my favorite item of the meal. Woah this place was a lot tastier than we expected. For a fast casual chain, it beats a lot of sit down restaurant burgers/famous burgers like Hodads and Slaters 50/50. The ordering was confusing because the self kiosk doesn't really work. The pagers aren't on and the interface is not intuitive in how to make something a combo. Truly an unnerving experience. I ordered a melt burger, salad, and mac and cheese here from Doordash this evening. I was excited to eat my meal while watching a film. The salas tasted very stale and was sopping wet, the mac and cheese was fine, but the burger....a HUGE disappointment. My friend and I shared the burger in the dark, the texture was completely soggy and kind of mushy, we thought it was maybe the lettuce because the salad tasted bad, so we took the lettuce off and continue to chow on it, but the texture seemed very off. We turned our flashlight on and examined the burger. It was completely raw on one side. No wonder it was mushy and soggy. After eating several bites and finding out the burger was raw, we started to have sharp and queasy stomachaches and ate disgusted that the MELT, did NOT cook quality food. We cannot even eat the mac and cheese because we are having onset food poisoning from the raw meat. read more

The patty was very thin and wide and something I would've made at home. Overall glad I tried it and satisfied my cravings!
