Staff were very friendly and the place was busy during lunch time so usually that says plenty. The Reuben was tasty, definitely not the best that I've had but I would get it again. The cheese wasn't melted enough and I asked for an extra side of thousand island dressing, so they didn't put any on the sandwich. Just little things that weren't done right. I tried it on their focaccia bread. Loved the rosemary flavor and it was a lot thicker and softer than your usual focaccia. I prefer the more dense and crunchy kind but that's just a personal preference. Their restroom was clean but when you open the door to the back, it smells foul. Almost like a sewer smell, very off putting when you are about to eat. Overall not a bad experience.

Everything was packaged nicely with the soup in a container and the bread bowl on the side. The sandwich was exactly what I wanted but it was a little lean with meat and I definitely didn't get the extra cranberry I requested. The Wisconsin cheese soup was amazing. The perfect consistency with great flavor. The inside of the bread bowl was soft and doughy and the bread pieces dipped in the soup was comforting. The best part was when I was finished the inside of the bowl had soaked up that soup and was a pleasant soggy mess. Oh so good. I'd definitely order from here again when in the Tempe area. For the price though I think another slice of turkey and more cranberry would have made this an excellent dining experience.

The potato salad side was delicious and, yes, fresh. The dirty chips were fantastic, too. Not sure why there are so many comments about their prices being high. We felt for what you get for your $, the prices were quite fair. The service was outstanding, as well. The young lady behind the counter could tell this was our first time from us studying the menu board up on the wall so hard. She quickly jumped in offering very helpful, information filled suggestions and recommendations. I look forward to coming back to Boards & Brews if we are ever in the area again.
