Matthew was wonderful! Very friendly and informative perfect for first timers! The food was delicious. The store was clean and set up beautifully for the holiday.

Matthew was an awesome server. Gave us the good and the bad review of his fav choices. Was even quick to correct a mistake brought out. Loved the time with my hubby we rarely get away and this was a great experience. Loved the flower and ambience of the restaurant. Was really warm but got cooled off in between so dress lightly. Food was light and wonderful. Sauces amazing! Passed expectations on the experience which I feel is what you are paying for.

My 6-year-old and I were out for a mommy/daughter day and since she loves playing with her food, we thought Melting Pot would be perfect! We walked in at 4 pm and were told 25-30 min wait. No problem. It ended up being 1.5 hrs, and this was only after me checking and then being forgotten again. Oof. If my daughter didn't have her heart set on this spot, we would have left. Once we did get seated, I was admittedly disappointed by the atmosphere. We have been to probably 8-10 different Melting Pots, and this one hands down has the worst layout/environment. It is in a basement with the only separation is a small party room. It is lacking intimate spaces and lighting and was incredibly loud. It will not be a romantic meal spot for my partner and I, unfortunately. As for the food, our cheese course was good. The salads were fine, albeit very overpriced for the size. The chocolate portion was tasty, but the dippers were sparse and disappointing. Both the cheese and chocolate were lukewarm, which may have been intentional because I had a kiddo with me? My daughter bit into her brownie and found a piece of steak inside. Since we didn't order a meat course, we knew it was an accidental part of dessert. I mentioned it to our server in case there were more in the brownie batch for other patrons. Our server promptly spoke with management and offered us a gift card, which was very kind and professional. Definitely not in a rush to return, and if we did it would only be for a quick cheese course.

Food was amazing! Ambiance amazing! Our waitress was also very good. My complaint? We waited 35 minutes for a cocktail ( drink 1). Waited 36 minutes for drink 2...

My family had a wonderful experience here this afternoon. My mother was in town for a few days, and we wanted to take her someplace nice, while also treating my daughter to a new experience. We were a little early for our 4pm reservation, but we were sat immediately. Our waiter, Anthony, was nothing less than phenomenal. He explained the whole process very clearly, and reassured my daughter (new experience, she was nervous!) that she would have a great time. He allowed her to assist in pouring ingredients into the pot and stirring the cheese until it reached the right consistency. He made her feel that she was not only included in the meal with the adults, but that she was special. He asked her favorite color, then brought her a beautiful matching rose. Children rarely get the same attention as adults in even average restaurants, much less these higher end establishments. He showed a genuine interest in her comfort and happiness, and was kind in a way she will remember forever. The meal was delicious, but Anthony's commitment to exceptional service elevated dinner to a truly memorable event for all of us. THANK YOU!

    S'mores Fondue

The fondue we ordered was phenomenal. The artichoke dip was more flavorful than most restaurants and had the perfect amount of garlic. They gave us the perfect amount of dipping items and we left full and content. The wait time for our food was short as our waiter Anthony quickly brought us our food and would regularly check in with us to see if there was anything else we needed. He was the best waiter we have ever had. The restaurant and tabletops in the dining areas were beautiful. The Melting Pot is a must visit when in Knoxville.

    Bacon & Jalapeño Cheese Fondue

Fun night out at the Melting Pot. We ordered "The Complete Fondue Experience for Two" dinner. This option gives you flexibility in choosing a cheese fondue, salads, entrees and a fondue dessert. We started with the Jalapeño and Bacon cheese, which is a three cheese mixture with jalapeños, bacon, white wine and shallots. The cheese is served with a tray of veggies, breads, and chips. Very tasty. Out of the salad options, I like the Caesar and the California. For the entrees, we chose the coq au vin cooking style and went with the Pacific Rim and Land and Sea. Mushrooms, potatoes and broccoli are served along with the meats and there are a variety of dipping sauces to enjoy to enhance the flavor of the food. I really enjoyed the Pacific Rim. The duck was my personal favorite, when dipped in the teriyaki sauce. For a finale, the bananas foster dessert is heavenly. You are presented with a try of fruits and other sweets, such as rice krispy treats, brownies and pound cake. I would have eaten the entire bowl of fondue by myself. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

You haven't had fondue?! While we are giving them 4 stars we do visit every time we are in town. The kids fell in love with fondue after trying adventurously and beg to come. It's not an inexpensive meal, but it has plenty of food (translation : they may have to roll you out). The menu is overly confusing but if you just go with the recommendations (with the little pot symbol) you'll be more than good. Don't skimp on the courses - get all 3 and save room for the dessert as it's truly worth it. I mean, weren't you out hiking the Smokies anyway?! Skip the cocktails as the bartenders are always amateur. A glass of wine or a beer goes well with the smorgasbord ahead.

Next for food I ordered the farmhouse burger (Cheddar + Over Easy Egg + Applewood Bacon + Tomato + Onion + Garlic Aioli) and upgraded the fries to the duck fat fries (Rendered Duck Fat + Grated Parmesan + Scallions + Garlic Aioli). The burger and fries tasted great and had a nice balance of flavors. I highly recommend stopping by stock & barrel if you are ever in Knoxville.

The service provided by Sergio was exemplary, and we just cannot say enough good things about him. Hard-working, always attentive without ever being over-bearing, kind, respectful, and very knowledgeable about every menu item we asked about. Not to leave out the rest of the staff - the manager and everyone else we were in contact with were exceedingly warm and welcoming. And the food! Wow! Everything we ordered (soups, lobster, steaks, and desserts) was perfectly prepared and also among the best meals any of us have ever had. My wife and I have spent a lot of time in Southern Carolina and have become huge fans of She Crab soup and we didn't think we would ever have soup as good as we get there, but we were wrong. The She Crab soup at Foothills Milling Company was better than any we've ever had, anywhere. The steaks were cooked to the perfect temperature and were seasoned just right, and the lobster was amazing. This was seriously among the best dining experiences any of us have ever had, and we will happily recommend Foothills Milling Company to everyone we know. We cannot wait for our next visit. She ordered chicken fingers (over fried), mashed potatoes (with the skins which is not mentioned on the menu) and mac and cheese with Parmesan (dried out on top and overall lack of cheesy sauce). I had the ahi tuna (6 pieces thinly sliced - maybe 2-3 ounces at $24.95) which was decent, thinly sliced tomatoes with approx. 1 tablespoon of sliced avocado, with various lettuce salad (way too much ginger in the vinegarette which made it inedible). I also ordered a side of shrimp and we split the tiramisu cheesecake (fell apart when you stuck your fork in it). It was either old, over mixed which made it dense and crumbly or over baked. The entire meal was a disappointment ($90 tip included). We both had food left on our plates and did not get to-go boxes. We both decided we would not be returning. EDIT: I contacted them and do you think I heard back either by phone or email? No. This is just another example of why we won't return. Also, I'm adding pictures. Take into account the smaller size of tomato slices when you're looking at the size of the avocado slices, the darkness of the chicken fingers, and zoom in for the dryness of the mac and cheese. Took off another star due to their inability to follow-up. EDIT 2: Why would I contact you again when you didn't respond the first time? Also, I didn't order the ahi poke bowl as evidenced by the pictures. The Mac and cheese was baked, not fried. Try hiring someone to deal with these comments versus having AI or a bot respond.
