After coming here for over 6 months and working with three stylists, I can confidently say these stylists are like Midas; their work turns your hair into gold. I found this place on Google after searching for an elevated experience - gotta take care of your self every once in a while. Entering the salon leads to an immediate lounge area with refreshments currently holding water, coffee, and sodas. I think there used to be beer? The seats are very comfortable and a TV to provide entertainment. The atmosphere is relatively open save for the individual stylists' areas which house privacy. A number of haircut options allows for a customizable experience. One can add on additional services like facial, massage, or nail care for example. I have tried the platinum cut a couple of times and have turned into a believer. A time intensive experience that makes one feel well taken care of by the end. For stylists, I have primarily worked with Jamie but also Elena and Danielle. Every single one of them have understood my hair. It is cut masterfully and grows in well. This last point is one I'd emphasize as really the majority of people who have cut my hair in the past fail to maintain any attention to detail. The only drawback that I have noticed here is that the online system is confusing. Additionally I have struggled with working with some people over the phone to get a reservation. That being said, the people who were disrespectful over the phone have been phased out out appropriately replaced. Great place, worth the extra drive and money! read more

Took advantage of my teenage son. Not a happy customer. My son made his own appointment to get his hair cut and dyed for his birthday. Tried to be an adult and do it himself only to be taken advantage of and swindled for $300 and still gave $50 tip totaling $350 for a cut and a simple dye that turned into a nightmare. He left very upset, disappointed, and very bad 1st experience. He shared photos of the style and color he's been wanting to the stylist. Platinum blonde which is in a grayish white color. Which his stylist Amanda happened to have a similar hair color and we kept asking to be close to the shade of her hair color. This session turned into a 2 day nightmare. 1st day after we thought it was completed ended up being goldish copper color and had purple highlights only in the front. Where did the light purple highlights come from we don't know. She said it will lighten up once he shampoos it but we will have to return the following day to apply a toner and we had to pay $180 that session plus we have $40 tip. The following day he returned but only to be swindled for another $120 and he still gave another $10 tip. But after the 2nd session the color was still the same with the same light purple highlights in the front half only. Nothings changed, very unhappy. Expecting platinum blonde color on the entire head but left with copper color with light purple highlights in the front. We were told before the 2nd session it will be another $80 to $100 but ended up being asked to pay $120 instead just to take advantage of a very nice TEENAGER and now he is very discouraged. Took advantage of a young kid trying to be an adult and do it himself. How disappointing and will continue to express this in social media after $350 later. I've been getting my hair cut here for the past year or so. I usually just go with the Express Cut. Melanie is an excellent stylist, is truly a pleasure to talk with and always does a great job. She styles my son's hair as well. He is exceptionally picky about his hair (he needs it to look good for modeling jobs), but he give her high marks and won't even consider going anywhere else. Sure, there are cheaper places to get your hair cut, but you get what you pay for. A visit to The Men's Salon is worth every penny. read more

I was very impressed with the experience. The staff is truly accommodating. Historically, a first cut at a new place, with a new stylist is cringe-worthy. You never know what you are going to get and I've had my share of bad experiences. This place set itself apart. They have well-priced, affordable cut options as well as "Cadillac" package options for the full work up. I like that they specialize on men's cuts as those are usually under represented at your standard salon. I was escorted, drink in hand, to a private room and received a consultation and recommendations. The cut was not rushed, but it took the reasonable amount of time they quoted me in advance. I stumbled upon this place after moving to Cincy. I needed a haircut and I liked the extras it came with, so I gave it a shot. You should know that the two things I hate most about relocating to a new city are: 1. Finding a new doctor. 2. Finding a new place to get my haircut. The slouches at SuperCuts or Fantastic Sams get you in and out and don't care what carnage they leave behind as what used to be referred to as, your hair. This place is great. It costs a bit more but along with the haircut you get a shampoo, scalp massage, hot stone neck massage and shoulder massage; not bad! Also, keep in mind that this place is geared toward men, and that will become very clear to you as that the staff there are all female (there are no men that work there) and easy on the eyes. To the degenerates out there, no, you will not get a happy ending. You'll get service with a smile and a nice haircut with a few other add-ons. Took my 14 year old for his first "not Great Clips" hair cut, as I have never been happy going there and feel I got the same if not worse cut. Its uneven, not blended. When we were driving home, all the cut hair was falling out all over his sweatshirt. The girl was super nice, but needs more training and to be watched/reviewed the next several cuts. My kid is pissed and I know have to figure out another place to go and spend another $50 to get it fixed :( read more

I am always very hesitant when it comes to trying new things especially when trying a new hair stylist. After finally making the change and trying Salon for Men I can say my expectations were far exceeded. I found this salon online googling "best haircuts in Cincinnati" and it took me to just that! My hair stylist was Lane and she did a fantastic job. I couldn't have asked for better. I've never written a review before but after my experience I almost feel compelled to. From the moment you arrive until the time you a very professional and comfortable atmosphere is created and maintained. My haircut was fantastic and Lane paid great attention to detail and worked with me to get the perfect style I was looking for. As part of my haircut I got a hot stone neck massage and it was extremely relaxing and felt amazing! Lane did an amazing job on the massage. To wrap things up Lane styled and blow dried my hair and taught me how to do it on my own in my morning routine and that is something no hair stylist has ever done for me before. Not only am I confident in my new haircut but I'm comfortable waking up tomorrow morning and replicating the same style myself! I wish I could give this review 6 stars. As stated in other reviews, great service and Great haircuts for the boys at Men's Salon. How many of us have gone the route of Great Clips or Sports Clips due to poor planning and had our hair literally ruined for 6-8 week chunks? Yeah, that's been me a couple times in life. This place rocks for guys and guys alone: excellent haircuts by talented, friendly staff, reasonably priced ($27.00) cuts from cool ladies that only do mens' cuts, and easy to snag a last-minute cut if needed. They look at what you've got and they listen. I still marvel at this find. Very cool ambiance, lots of solid mens mags to read and TV while you wait, and gratis water, coffee, soda as well. I'd advise you to hand over the extra 10 bucks and get the Signature Cut, which will give you a stone massage on your neck and shoulders, well worth the 10-spot. I finally landed on my forever home for haircuts. It's so hard to trust someone on the first haircut, but these ladies care about you, they take their time and they do a great job. This is a Great place for a style, beard trim, massage, etc. I am normally an anxious person, but Krista makes me feel very at ease. Their (her) work is impeccable. I've been one of those people who just wanders from place to place when I need a style and chopped off my beard rather than trim it. Kayla does my hair just the way I want and does a great job of trimming my beard without me having to lose it. The massage and stone massage are not my favorite while they're going on, but, oh my!. Every once in a while, it is good to spoil yourself a little bit. I tried the signature haircut ($35) and facial ($25: never had a facial). The signature haircut includes hot towel service, neck and scalp massage, with a shampoo, then a warm stone neck massage after the haircut to finish. It was a nice and relaxing experience. I followed the haircut with the facial. While the facial was nice, I just don't know that I would opt for that service in the future. For a total cost with tip over $70, it can get a bit expensive. The stylists are very personable and cute, and while the atmosphere is certainly above what you would get from Joe the barber, it does come at a price read more

Wow!!! What can I say about The Men's Salon and Spa other than that. This place has it all. Atmosphere, SportsCenter or any channel you prefer on in every room, 5-star service for not much more than a Sports Clips cut yet I get my own personal room with a beautiful stylist. Gotta get The Signature with a warm towel on your face, scalp massage, hot stone neck massage on top of your shampoo & haircut. Just a 1st class environment all around with a very comfortable feel (not a typical salon). I would recommend this place to ALL guys. read more
