Worst haircut I've ever had in my life. Did the complete opposite of what I asked. Would stay as far away from here is you can.

They do great work! Crystal always takes care of me and knows what to do with my hair when I don't.

I am in Omaha on business from out of town. Happened to walk in to see if I could get a hair cut. I was extremely impressed with the customer service from the receptionist to the stylist. If you list online when booking at 35 for students but then charge 45 after the haircut and say "we've tried to tell management but they don't do anything" that is just unfair to the customers read more

I let my 15 year old go in with a picture and for a trim/shape of his nearly shoulder length curly hair while I went around the corner to the nail salon. imagine my surprise, and the 4 other women around me, when my son walks in with a still wet but also a curly bob, feathered sides, and a rat tail! Not to mention, one untouched sideburn and a rounded left! everyone was left speechless and strangers trying to comfort him as I called over, over, and over again trying to get in touch with them to fix it. I left with no top coat, no shoes, in -20 degree weather, and was banging on the glass like a crazy person hoping someone would be there to see this. Of course, they were closed and I had to reach out on Facebook. We have a birthday party tomorrow and needed help as soon as possible. The salon did offer to schedule us with someone (3 times lots that wouldn't work) but this is the reply I got.... So, so, so disappointed but no longer speechess! Mama's, don't let your babies go on a Friday night or everyone around will ignore this mess and let him walk out of the door pretending it was all ok! ........ Update: The saga continues. I received a call from and unnamed manager offering to sit him in with another stylist to "fix" and unfixable hair cut. When I said I wasn't sure I was going to do that, come back in; she decided to advise me that they would no longer be able to service us. I asked about a refund, ignored, I expressed my lack of confidence, ignored with the exception of said manager stating she is feeling threatened, uncomfortable and unsafe because of the above "threat" on social media. I asked for another manager or the owner only to be told they run two businesses and they are busy but maybe I'll hear from them. She couldn't get a time frame, couldn't provide any additional contact information and decided to "end the call". Hang tight folks... I'll update you as new information comes in! read more

New to the area and I was able to get on the schedule for a Saturday cut here at 5PM on short notice when most places seemed to close at 3PM. I received great service and a nice discount for a first-timer haircut. The waiting area also seemed nice with complimentary beverages including sodas. The haircut included shampoo before and after as well as a hot face towel. Hannah kept up good conversation while she cut my hair and made sure everything was to my liking. Will be back the next time I need a trim. read more

Very nice people, good service and decent haircut- but the price is a bit high for what you get. I "just" got a buzz cut, and maybe they have no way of adjusting the price of a 5 min buzz cut vs a Timothee Chalamet styled haircut- but I wish they did. read more

Second time in for a haircut I've tried out both locations and both seem to have very friendly staff and stylists. Complimentary drinks like coffee, hot cocoa, water bottles, and cans of pop while you wait or when you leave. They have done me right both times and I plan to go again! read more

I shave my head because I am bald. So, I don't really have much of a need to come to this, or any other, hair salon. But, I have two boys with lots of hair and we bring them here for their haircuts and are always very pleased. Before COVID, they had a nice waiting area with some drinks, coffee, and a few chairs. I spent a lot of time waiting as we usually schedule our sons haircuts back to back with Bryan. This is also a great location if you are waiting for someone to get haircuts because it's near other things if you want to take a stroll to get a cup of coffee at Roast or check out Inner Rail. Bryan has been cutting the boys hair for years and always does a solid job. They've never had a bad haircut. As someone who hasn't paid for a haircut in well over a decade, it does hurt a little bit in the pocketbook to pay for two haircuts with tip here. But, I think the price is worth it to get a consistently good cut with good service all the way around. read more

This location is in the Arksaben Village strip close to the theaters and parking garage. Parking was easy to find in front of the business and masks are still required to get your haircut. Julie was my stylist and asked me whatcI would prefer and listened to my requests throughout the visit. She was very meticulous and took her time with the cut and styling. There was no upsale with hair products afterwards which was appreciated but I still purchased a hair product on the way out. Everything during the visit was great. I've wanted to take my husband for a "treat" to try this place out after many years of just eyeing it. It was not what we expected and we paid about $75 total! - the stylist did not seem interested in being at work that day so he was not very talkative nor very friendly (Bryan) - small lobby area - NO seating if you wanted to be there to see your loved one get a haircut, you'll end up standing very awkwardly by the wall with other stylists squeezing past you. So I had to take my son out until my husband was done - my husband's haircut was horrendous! :( He looked like he was going into the military. read more

Nice place, but stylist was not. Way too aggressive with the electric razor and scraped the sh&t out of my neck in back. Asked me after a couple of minutes if it hurt. I said yes, of course. She didn't give me a mirror to see the back, and when I got home I thought no surprise...Back of my neck was bleeding and the hair was amazingly uneven. Looked like I had a toddler cut it. I recently visited the Aksarben Village location and met with Hannah. First and foremost she was an absolute joy to hang with during my cut. Hannah was friendly and outgoing from the the start. She was very attentive to what I was looking for and provided a high quality cut. I have been going to the same stylist for 15+ years and have been pretty stuck in my routine, but Hannah helped me realize it's time to switch it up and I may have just found my new routine! Also, I had a great conversation with Hannah and honestly probably should have paid her for a counseling session as well. Overall, a pleasurable experience all around, and I love the fresh cut. Bryan does a hell of a great haircut. The staff was friendly and inviting. The environment was sleek and modern as well.

I mean I can afford to shop anywhere but I don't see much significance to this salon for how pricey this place is. I didn't get a cut but my son and his friend did. They came out alright but definitely not the best cut I've seen. The boys said that the razor kept on catching their hair which honestly hurt. The staff were just so so but good enough to get along the the day. I had to go home and let my wife do some perfecting. Now my son's friend literally comes over to get a cut with my boy whenever he needs one. read more

I've been going to The Men's Salons in Aksarben for about a year now and they are always friendly and do a perfect job! I would highly suggest Morgan, she has done a wonderful job cutting my hair, and I've never had a problem! She cut my hair the day of my wedding and did an amazing job! After the first visit, I would've given it a 5 star rating - amazing haircut and friendly staff. On the second visit, however, they showed their true colors. The battery on the stylist's neck trimmer died and she had no viable workaround on that. I didn't get the conditioning treatment I received the first time. The quality of the haircut was poor. The staff seemed awfully disinterested in much of anything. All of that in addition to the sticker shock when I learned that the price of the haircut increased by nearly 30% from $35 to $45. In short, I paid nearly 30% more and got a lesser quality haircut. I can only assume they would only cut half my hair and then charge me $58 on a subsequent visit. I'd advise going somewhere else - somewhere who lets the cost known ahead of time. read more

Not impressed. Told her what I wanted and she said she didn't feel comfortable getting that close of a shave? She didn't blend at all and I had to go the next day to get it fixed. I was also charged $45 for the worst cut I've ever received. read more

I've tried multiple hair salons and barbershops around Omaha and this one is far and away the best. The receptionist is always extremely welcoming, the waiting area is so comfortable you have to try not to fall asleep, and the haircuts are top notch! Nice people and great atmosphere. Unfortunately my husband's Hair was rather butchered. Don't know if it was an accident or not, because at first it was looking alright, but she set down the clippers and when she went back the back was cut shorter than the sides were cut. Now his hair is much shorter than he ever wanted. Unfortunately we won't be returning. read more

This is a great salon for men. Finally a place to call mine. After years of chop shop haircuts and never being satisfied I came to the men's salon. The salon is clean, organized, and welcoming. You're greeted when you walk in right away and they have a nice relaxing lounge area. The haircut was the best, my stylist listened to what I wanted and made suggestions on my hair type and the style I was going for, never got that at a sport clips or great clips. Two shampoos, condition, scalp massage and a hot towel finish all with your haircut = Amazing! Guys if you want an awesome experience go to The Men's Salon, stop going to a chop shop and getting poor service haircuts. Yes it's going to cost you more $$$ but it's worth it. read more
