When we pressed the help button on the door nobody responded. We pressed it numerous times over the course of about 10 minutes, as we continued trying to figure things out; no one ever came. Finally one of the 11yr olds banged on the door. That got a response, but a good amount of our 50 minutes had elapsed. After arriving, the staff person took quite a few more minutes to figure out what clue we were missing, probably because the kids had strewn a lot of the props & paper clues around the room. When we finally got our help it was in the form of, "oh! you need to look in this exact spot right here for a critical clue (on a piece of laminated paper) that you haven't been able to find, and as it turns out, you guys didn't even realize you were missing! Bye!" After we had that (one stinking) clue we started moving pretty fast. But alas, not enough time was left. The staff was nice enough to let us have a couple more minutes to finish the challenge, but the kids & adults alike were frustrated & demoralized. We adults felt pretty dumb. After all we couldn't even manage the easiest level. I'm thinking I will not ever return to try again. Our room was very low budget in terms of the props & decor, visually very austere, if you will. And there are so many other decent entertainment options out there, places where the kids can enjoy seeing me cheerfully absorb a healthy dose of humility, and where there's an adult beverage or two available for purchase, you know, to soften the blow.

All at a price point that won't leave you scratching your head. My wife and I came here to wrap up our anniversary escape room tour and absolutely had a great time. We were immediately welcomed by the owner who struck up conversation about how they just opened recently, what they're working on, and some of the neat little features that they're implementing as part of the Escape Room Passport program that a lot of other New England escape rooms are starting to do recently. Super enjoyable and warm to talk to, like most owners in the escape room community seem to be. The prices are right on par with others in New England at $25 a head, though I did LOVE the option for a little more (+$5\person) to make the room private. That's a feature that not many others offer, and gives great flexibility to people wanting to give these types of games a try in a more private atmosphere, without worrying if you'll be grouped up with strangers in the room. The room itself was really fun. Clues were clear, and flowed into each other nicely. There weren't red herrings typical of big box or amateurish rooms that artificially inflate escape rates for bragging rights, and the non clue props were a nice touch, though a bit misleading in some spots. The production quality was right about what we expected for a newer business fresh into the field. Lower quality printouts and some hard to read handwriting had us scratching our heads in some places, but we escaped the room, and had a blast doing it. Overall this place has so much promise, and if you're in the Wakefield\Naraggansett area looking for a fun activity that isn't tough on the wallet, this place is a super fun tucked away spot to have a great time!

Escape RI is really an adventure for those who take part of it.... The staff sends you into a themed, immersive game space filled with puzzles, and you have to solve them all in order to "escape" within the hour. Now after the pandemic, all games are private, so you only go in with people you know. The are several room and several types of experiences! While you play, the venue is being constantly monitored by a trained Game Operator, and an emergency exit is always available in case of discomfort or actual emergency. You are never locked in a room. The lights may get dim at some points, but there's no (intentionally) spooky music or sounds, no frightening pictures, and certainly no one is going to jump out at you. All surfaces are sanitized regularly by the staff. The base price to rent one of the rooms is $79 which includes two admission tickets, which is also the minimum number of players needed to play our games. Each additional ticket is an additional $29 per person. Each room has individual capacity limits. The smallest game room can hold up to 4 players, two of the game rooms can hold up to 6 players each, and the largest game can hold up to 10. Our group needed some help in some of the rooms with the puzzles and clues, so you can ask for help and the operator will help you with hints. At the end of the game, we did not Escape, but it was a fun experience about teamwork, leadership, puzzle solving, and much more.... LOL...
