This was my order -- with sausage. My husband got his with lobster tail instead. Both were scrumptious!

My husband and I visited West Monroe for a few nights and were looking for a good place to eat lunch. We drove around the bend from our hotel, looking for a place we visited in the Pecanland Commons area several years ago. We found that the restaurant we were looking for was no longer there and in it's place was The Mighty Crab. We love seafood and decided to go in. What a great decision that was! We both ordered the daily special (boil combos/buckets) - I got mine with links, and my husband got his with lobster. We each had snow crab, corn, shrimp with no head, and potatoes in the order with our links or lobster tail. My husband ordered the garlic butter sauce and I ordered the cajun. We were both blown away by how scrumptious and finger-licking good everything was! The food was fresh and so tasty. On a side note - we also each had a glass of house chardonnay, and it was very good, too. It was such a good experience that I actually did a FB live video to recommend that anyone visiting Monroe, LA should definitely include a meal here!

Overall a welcoming environment. It didn't take long for the food to come out. Our servers name was Embed and she was amazing! She's so sweet and really explains the menu to you if you don't understand. The food was great and honestly an overall good experience.

Went there in February of this year (2023)...the food was delicious but the service. It's not that the service was bad, it was the fact that the waiter had his 2 year old son there. Our waiter brought the kid to our table while he took our order, corrected his behavior while dropping g off our food and was kicking a plastic ball to him, around tables with people eating at them...

Pina colada we ordered. It was really good just wasn't expecting a "party cup."

Second time trying this place out. Walked in with a worker cursing out other employees about breaking her phone. Other employees were sitting around in booths laughing and encouraging the foolery. Ordered a pina colada and it came in a red solo cup???? Food was ok. Sammy's is way better. While we were trying to order our food AND while we were waiting, the same employee continued cursing and threatening the other employees. The bar manager finally got her to leave and after reviewing footage, no one had damaged her phone. Not a good look. Food was ok. Greeter and waitress were nice.

After reading the reviews we thought, "How bad could it possibly be....?" Well, let me tell you, the spelling on the drink menu is indicative of the service you can expect to receive. 25 minutes after being seated, we were greeted by our server. It was a fiasco getting a drink menu, which involved our waitress yelling across the restaurant, but we finally ordered our drinks, an appetizer, and entrees. Our entrees arrived first, we still had no drinks, water, or appetizer. 10 minutes later our drinks arrived at which time our waitress opened our now-cold entrees. "I'll bring you crab crackers shortly," she said; They never, ever, arrived. Near the end of our meal, these rubbery fried rings arrived which slightly resembled calamari; Our appetizer, now dessert, was inedible frozen Sysco garbage. We managed to eat as we watched our waitress call a patron at the next table a "b!tch" and told her she "obviously wasn't on a diet." Needless to say, I would not recommend this place. It was easily the worst restaurant I've been to in recent memory with some of the most deplorable service in the industry.

Stopping by on a road trip, this place looked promising so we gave it a try. To my surprise the food was really good, the food was seasoned very well

So whenever I'm passing through, stopping at Billy's Boudin & Cracklin or Randall's Cajun Foods is a must for me. I went to Randall's today. About 5 months ago, I stopped in and the cracklings had clearly been sitting for a while, they were tough. I explained my concern and even offered to pay extra just to have a fresh batch cooked. After going back and forth, they finally made them fresh, and they were exactly what I wanted. Fast forward to today, I called ahead and specifically asked for fresh cracklings. The young man on the phone said okay, no problem. I walk in 5 minutes later and there's already a bag waiting. I asked where they came from and she told me they were cooked that morning. That was an immediate no for me. If I'm spending $21 for a pound, I don't want tough, sitting all day cracklings. Go ahead and put those back. I ended up trying the boudin balls, big mistake. You could tell they had been sitting too. At that point, I didn't even have the energy to go back and forth or ask for a manager. Honestly, it should be a given. This picture is pepper jack boudin ball. Look how dry it is . Needless to say, I won't be back.

Upon entering, I found the interior decor to be rather average and understated but do not let that fool you for a single moment. The true piece de resistance is the spectacular view of the Ouachita River just on the other side. It is absolutely magnificent, providing the most glorious backdrop that would be utterly perfect for an elegant evening out, a romantic date, or a refined family gathering. While the setting isn't overly fancy, the natural beauty of the river paired with the immense warmth of the staff makes it incredibly special. To commence our meal, I opted for a classic, perfectly chilled Martini, while my partner ordered the Watermelon Breeze both were thoroughly refreshing. As we sat chatting and taking in the scenery, we ordered the Shrimp and Grits along with a side of hush puppies. When the cuisine arrived, it was an absolute triumph. The flavors were entirely delicious, capturing the very best of Southern comfort. Between the breathtaking view, the flawless hospitality, and the exceptional food, this establishment is a true treasure. It deserves every bit of its five stars, and I shall most certainly be returning

The food was INCREDIBLE. The crab cakes are the best I've ever had in my life, and the catfish po-boy was life changing. The inside of the restaurant has a great feel to it. I would recommend this to anyone.

Service, atmosphere, waterfront view: all on point…read more Here's what we ordered: Appetizer: STUFFED MUSHROOMS. They were very dry. As if they were sitting under a heat lamp or forgotten in the oven. Flavor of the crab was good, though I think I would have rather had a majority of the cheese on the bottom, mixing with the juices from the mushroom and crab instead of heavily coating the top like a crispy crust. Entrees: SHRIMP RAHKEE. Saw so many good reviews for this. I was underwhelmed and disappointed. The whole thing lacked flavor. I had to shake a generous amount of salt on top and it was still lacking flavor. Shrimp were large and juicy, they just needed more flavor. Sauce was thin, could have been thicker and more complex. All of it was just bland. I ordered this over pasta which was cooked perfectly al dente. For my sides, I got the STUFFED POTATO and ASPARAGUS. Stuffed potato was nothing to write home about-- it also tasted as if it was sitting under a heat lamp or left in the oven a bit too long; flavor wasn't bad, though.. Asparagus was asparagus. Would have preferred a nice crusty bread like a French Bread over the Texas Toast. Not terrible, but not great. My teenager ate up my shrimp. My teenager ordeeed the SHRIMP SALAD. He said "it is what it is." Nothing super special but he didn't really have any complaints. My husband ordered the PORK CHOPS with ASPARAGUS and STEAMED VEGGIES. He really Enjoyed the pork chops and shared a bite with me, which was delicious-- cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. His steamed veggies were dry and asparagus was asparagus. My youngest ordered a KIDS CHEESEBURGER. Unfortunately, much like many places serving a kids cheeseburger-- it was pretty basic. My youngest had a few bites and wasn't interested in finishing it. This is served with chips. I should mention that all of the entrees looked visually tasty and we really wanted to like them. Maybe we were just there on an off night. Our server and everyone working there was very nice and attentive. The owner gave us a hearty smile and good bye. Service itself earned half the rating for me. View of the water was really nice, though I probably won't be back if I find myself in Monroe again.

Great Seafood, But Service Needs Work…read more I've been to this seafood spot a few times, and the food is always amazing -- fresh, flavorful, and well worth the money. The crab legs and shrimp are some of the best I've had in a long time, and the portions are generous. That said, the service during my last visit was really disappointing. Our server, Ashley, forgot our food more than once and seemed irritated whenever we asked for help or updates. Everyone can have an off day, but the attitude and lack of attention really took away from what should've been a great dining experience. I'd still recommend this place for the food alone, but I really hope management takes a closer look at improving customer service. With better staff attitudes, this would easily be a five-star restaurant.
