One of my favorite spots in all of Lincoln - whether to work/read alone, or take my wife on a date (when we can get a babysitter). It's on campus, so there's a low hum of studying and conversing but never loud. The staff are friendly, but sensitive to if you're in a hurry or not. I haven't had the food, but the pastries are superb. My personal favorite drink is the grenata. The right combination of flavor, chill, and the consistency forces me to drink it slowly and savor it.

The Mill has Awesome Customer Service!! Whenever we have an issue they return calls and texts almost immediately! We have there coffee service at Anderson Ford South and they are the Best!! Thank you for always helping us out with your amazing coffee and service! They are very vigilant on the cleaning and keeping well supplied with the coffee and supplies!

The mill is THE go-to for coffee in Lincoln. Whether you're trying to study, catch-up with friends, or even have a work meeting this place is perfect. Most frequently I visit the location on UNL's innovation campus because it's normally quiet, parking nearby, and not only they have coffee but also lighter meals and a bar if you want a cocktail or a glass of wine. Their coffee options are numerous and their baristas are always there to help. Normally would come here to study, so there's many outlets and big tables if you need to spread out study materials. Can't recommend this place more!

Great spot to study & grab a quick breakfast. Come back later for drinks at the bar. Yogurt parfait & quiche were delicious, staff was very nice.

Checked out the newest location of The Mill now at Innovation Campus. It's definitely a great addition for the area and I love how spacious it is. Even with all the windows it still has that mellow, relaxed coffee shop feel. I love the repurposed architectural elements that add character throughout. The addition of an event space is even better and we hope to use it this spring for a work event which is what brought us here. It will be a nice size for the small group (40) we plan to have and again I love the repurposed, vintage feel. As part of the rental we must purchase food so we sampled the quiche. I had half of the vegetarian option and half of the bacon. We were checking taste and quantity to be sure our guests would feel satisfied. The eggy centers were soft and creamy and the crusts flaky. Overall taste is acceptable though the vegetarian could use a little seasoning. The bacon was fantastic. The quiche are a nice size and paired with fruit will be a nice, light breakfast or meal. I don't know if it would hold me over for several hours but I do think it will be adequate for our guests. They are pricey at about $5 each. I've never preferred the coffee here, it's a bit dark and bitter for my tastes, but I still drink it. Especially doctored with cream and sweetener. I had the hot toddy and it was a nice little pick me up for the afternoon. I also had a two inch high rice crispy treat with mms inside! and chocolate on top. It was really hard to wrap my mouth around but I managed. I really have no complaints. Service was excellent. Lots of people studying or reading. I don't know how often I'll come here due to location but if I need one of those coffee shop work days I'd for sure consider this an option.

Went to every location in Lincoln while visiting friends for the College World Series. Good coffee and each one had a different vibe. 4 instead of 5 because the coffee wasn't consistent across the shops (quality of latte) and one location was less than friendly. I can't remember which one but i think it was the one where they have the market in town.

Great place to hang out while on the innovation campus. The pop tarts look phenomenal and the coffee is some of the best I've ever had.

I tried Meadowlark coffee too. It was tolerable, but not good. Being from Kansas City, I did not realize how fortunate I am to have several spots with their own blend of beans, and freshly air roasted beans while you wait. But I'm so glad we stayed an extra day because we came across Cultiva Coffee. It was about 10 minutes from our hotel and it was so worth it. They also had a seasonal crêpe that had strawberries and chocolate ganache. It was so good. No, it was excellent. My husband and I almost fought over the last bite. But we were certainly measuring up the size of the bites. Lol the atmosphere was so cute and original. I absolutely loved it. I took a minute to tell them how much I appreciated them before I left, but I'm also telling you now. In addition to the Coffee, I appreciated the Service. When I ordered, the young lady never made me feel like I needed to hurry with what I was gonna say or that I wanted too many details. I appreciate this as an older person. I get tired of the impatience of young people these days and she was very kind. And the person who made the drink, made it perfectly to my liking. Not too hot to where I had to wait to drink it, but not just warm like it had been cooling off. I admit, I am very critical when it comes to my cappuccino. That's why I make it at home most the time so I can have it the way I want it. So a place that checked all the boxes is rare to me. If you try this place, I hope you have the same experience.

I told the barista how I like my coffee, which is strong, iced and sweet. I also told her I was debating between the dirty Barcelona and iced Cuban. She recommended the dirty Barcelona and it did not disappoint. However I will say it was a little too sweet for me. I'll have to try the iced Cuban next time. Nonetheless, the coffee was absolutely delicious. I finished it quickly. In addition to the amazing coffee here, I trulyenjoyed their food!! They specialize in crepes, savory and sweet, omelettes, and pancakes! Don't sleep on their food y'all. I ended up ordering a build -your-own meal which consisted of a bagel, eggs, cream cheese, and three sides; salsa, chipotle mayo and sausage. Let's just say I ate and left no crumbs. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Frfr. My toddler got the apple pie pastry, also a 10 out of 10!! There are board games and coloring pages for kiddos. Plus merchandise and coffee beans available for purchase. There's lots of seating inside and street parking outside. I'm definitely coming back here with more people and plan to spread the word about this amazing spot. 1000 out of 10 recommend. :)

I ordered a mocha half calf. It was drinkable if you just want caffeine. The café had a lot of seating and some shopping. Something unusual to me was a selection of different kinds of chocolate covered items that you could buy in measurement. Not prepackaged. The location we visited was in Haymarket District downtown. It's been there 45 years. They're baked goods are made downstairs I was told. I tried the coffee cake, which was excellent, but I did not care for the chocolate croissant. It was very tough and very little chocolate. I did like the outside terrace seating which faced the main street of the Haymarket district. It was shaded and very nice breeze went through there on a hot day. I love the experience of the shop and the terrace, but if I'm looking for good the flavor of coffee, I would probably go somewhere else.

The cold brew is my favorite but the lattes are good too (they can be a little sweet, so I get mine with half the syrup). I hear good things about the food but I've only had pastries - which did not disappoint. Killer music on a regular basis. Friendly staff and patrons, from my experience. It's more a social gathering place than a good "get work/study done" place. They also feature local artists and musicians, which is cool and keeps the decor new. One small note - usually when coffee places have a punch-card loyalty program, you get a free drink when it's full. Meadowlark, you only get a punch for espresso drinks, not coffee, and when it's full, you only get $3 off instead of an actual free drink (even a small). That seems a little penny-pinching to me...
