Zipline was a solid introduction to Lincoln! The highlight was for sure the corn fritters it came with. Seasoned well and perfectly fried. Meal did not come out with any sauce, but when I asked, they brought out a Cajun sauce that paired well with both the fish and fries-- I love a signature orange sauce and a restaurant. This restaurant appears to be part of an office building. Because today is a Saturday, there are lots of parking lots available. Not sure you would get the same availability of parking lots on a workday We were seated once we walked in. Pretty prompt in service. There are a variety of seating available. We chose a booth to sit at. Pretty comfortable seats. Hubby ordered beers And I ordered a cocktail. First cocktail I ordered was apple matcha. Tasted Pretty much like plum wine on rocks with a slice of lemon. I was not expecting that So I asked to make sure the order i made and the server took was correct. Based off of the ingredients- it should have been crown apple, yuzu, matcha powder, lemon and grapefruit and vanilla syrup. Just from the ingredients alone- I would have expected something with some green in it. Light green. Or floating matcha powder. I didn't taste any of the elements quoted. But it was nice- as previously mentioned- tasted like plum wine. Our server did check on our behalf and she said this was made correctly. I ordered Thai shrimp sliders. Shrimp was crispy and plump. Slaw on top was delicious. Sauce was a little sweet. But overall good combination. I ordered a second drink - clarified saturn. This time- i did taste the elements of the ingredients. Peaflower infused gin, golden falernum, pistachio syrup, passionfruit and lemonjuice. Light lavender/ pink was the right colour. Tad strong on pistachio syrup and not really tasting the passionfruit. My waiter was super sweet and gave me an excellent recommendation! My sandwich was so good and pretty different from most basic chicken sandwiches. My fries were good, and my pickle beer was unique and different (in a good way). I also thought it was nice (cause I am picky on beer) that they let you sample them to ensure you liked the one you picked! The food is very good. They have a very tasteful menu. The execution has always been good in my handful of experiences. The portions are not large though. Service is good, but maybe a bit disorganized. Once I sat at the bar for 5 minutes or so before a tender acknowledged me. I was the only one there. I've heard mixed reviews but we decided to try it for ourselves on New Years Eve. I thought it was great and will be back. Our server was attentive w/out being there too often. We've been Zipline beer fans for years so I decided to try a cocktail instead. The smoked pecan oldfashioned was amazing. One of my friends got the version of a manhattan and that was also really good. Our food came out pretty quickly but gave us enough time to have some of our drinks and chat before it came out. I appreciated it. I ordered the cedar plank salmon and I will tell you it's one of the best salmon dishes I've had in town. I can't recall exactly what the sauce was but I think it's like a peach jam base sauce. Whatever it was, it was AMAZING and the portion was generous and cooked to perfection. My husband had the country fried chicken and the gravy on it was uniqe and delicious. I've heard people gripe about the price but now that I've been there, I have no idea what they're talking about. Perfect location in Fallbrook, very trendy inside with nice outside patio seating fire pit etc, they also have a separate bar lounge area. Service was very good super friendly and answered all of our questions about the food and drink menu. Great selection of craft beer on tap, limited simple food menu. Unfortunately I feel the food is a big let down, we ordered the blackened shrimp and Cajun chicken Rigatoni Pasta, absolutely no flavor what so ever I mean not even salt and pepper to season the chicken, the shrimp was packet frozen not fresh with a cheap overly sweet ginger sauce, plus side the French fries and draft beer was very good, it's also very pricey for packet chain restaurant style food! Lincoln's beautiful Fallbrook community is becoming a destination for Lincoln diners. Joining the popular classic Toast is a new dining establishment, Zipline Tap & Grill, located in the former Schilling Bridge Tap & Cork space, although beautifully redesigned and expanded with the addition of a lounge known as Fiddlesticks. Zipline, known for its beer brewing prowess, is making a claim to be considered among Lincoln's best restaurants with a menu crafted by Executive Chef, Jared Clarke. Clarke's other establishments in Omaha, Railcar Modern American Kitchen and Timber Wood Fired Grill, are proof of his capabilities to establish serious contenders. And Zipline Tap & Grill has the makings of another winner. I've enjoyed the food, the drinks, and the service and have been impressed by all of them. Having opened for business only two weeks ago they are already operating as a seasoned staff, both front and back of house. Their food is a comfortable and creative blend of classic grill favorites with some real culinary punch. Flavors are well crafted, interesting, and plating and presentation are visually engaging. And their cocktails, wine, and beer are well matched to the quality of their food. I can confidently recommend Zipline Tap& Grill. Expect this new offering from the folks at Zipline and Executive Chef Jared Clarke to become a Lincoln go-to for you. It's quickly become that for me. read more

I'd give the review 2.5 stars if that was an option. We were really excited about the opening of Zipline Tap & Grill, hoping it would bring more options to the Fallbrook area. But if you enjoy guessing whether a restaurant is open or not, this might be the place for you! Maybe they're open? Maybe not? Oh, sorry, they're closing at 9 PM on a Saturday--or was it 10 PM on a Friday? Don't bother with the posted hours, they seem irrelevant! And if you're looking forward to Fiddlesticks, the attached lounge (which is a great space, by the way), you might be disappointed--it's often closed. But hey, the employees seem to enjoy their breaks there! You can always come back next weekend, ask if it's open, and be told "yes, I think so," only to walk across the restaurant and find it closed again. What fun! Oh, and that specialty drink they're promoting on social media? Maybe they have the ingredients, maybe not. It seems the same mystery algorithm that controls their hours also decides the availability of drink ingredients. Keeps things interesting, right? When we're not disappointed by the surprise closing times, there are definitely positives about Zipline Tap & Grill! It's in a great location, and the remodel was spot-on--it's a fantastic space. The mixed drinks are well-made, and there's a wide selection of Zipline beers, all of which are great (though the pickle beer isn't for me!). The menu is extensive and creative, with everything we've ordered being perfectly cooked and delicious. The servers and bartenders are friendly and competent, making for an enjoyable dining experience when things run smoothly. This was a newer place we decided to check out and the waitress was very prompt in getting out drinks and refilling our water. We started with a pretzel which had a great garlic butter with it. My son had a flight of beer which he really enjoyed. We put our order in and enjoyed conversation when we realized the food was taking a really long time. After a little longer, 2 of the meals came out. The waitress said the other meals would be out soon. 20 minutes later, 2 more came out. My chicken was very dry, with little sauce. The plank salmon was cooked well. Then the waitress came out and apologized that the other meals were overcooked and were being redone. We were all finished by the time the other food came out. The last 2 meals were comped, as they should have been and we got free dessert. The waitress explained that the kitchen was a mess and they were short on cooks. We felt bad for her, as it wasn't her fault. We'd be willing to try this place out in the future, but not any time again soon. read more

Made our first visit to Zipline At Fallbrook. It was very very good. Our party of four on a Sunday evening was seated immediately. The ambiance was very warm and welcoming on a cold January evening. Ordered drinks (beers and a Manhattan) and a flatbread appetizer which was delicious and big enough to be enjoyed as a main course entree. The wait staff was pleasant, well dressed and attentive. We ordered a hamburger, airline chicken, crunchy shrimp. Everything was delivered quickly and was delicious. We took our time, enjoying our food and drinks and pleasant conversation. Because it's the kind of place where you don't want to be rushed. I would definitely recommend Zipline at Fallbrook to everyone. I only gave it four stars because of my drink, the Manhattan. It was weak, very weak. I encourage the bartender to be a bit more generous with your pour. Because, we notice and it cost your restaurant a star. None the less, I look forward to coming back. read more

The service was good. Unfortunately the food left much to be desired. What they have on the menu doesn't match the menu on their website, and what we wanted wasn't available. Ok. We switched. Unfortunately the nachos appetizer didn't taste good (I have never before had chicken shredded so finely it was similar to finely shredded cheese). Three of the four of were gravely disappointed with the meals we ordered. One person enjoyed her meal. Not a good batting average. Highly doubt we will be back. read more

I have to write a review after I saw the negative one posted. I have been to Zipline many times in the last few months and have never had a bad experience or meal. The servers have always been kind and knowledgeable. The food is delicious. I especially enjoy the pork chop and the salmon. My husband is stuck on the CFS. My partner and I dined at Zipline Tap and Grill this evening. He ordered a cheeseburger meal and a side salad. I ordered the Reuben meal with a salad. He also ordered a margarita and I ordered a Moscow mule. The drinks were both terrible. I suspect there was something wrong with the lime juice since both of our drinks were made with lime juice. We sent them back and had colas to replace them, which, once we were able to flag down a server, they were pleasant about doing. We expected the salads to come before the meal, but they were served at the same time as our dinners. While the fries were good, (and they were kind enough to make a special order for me without the usual pepper they put on them), my partner didn't get any with his burger as it seems that the server assumed that he meant to replace his fries with the salad. I got both the fries and the salad. His burger was overcooked and dry. It looked like a previously frozen patty. He found it to be inedible. He had asked for cheddar on the burger, but was informed that they had only American cheese as a choice. My first bite of the reuben was a surprise. The menu stated that it was made with "comeback sauce" instead of the traditional Russian or thousand island dressing. I wasn't expecting what appeared to be mayo mixed with cayenne pepper. The spiciness was overwhelming and in my opinion, didn't work in a reuben. The corned beef was dry and the saurkraut was scarce. As for the service, the restaurant was nearly empty, but there seemed to be a staff meeting going on and we weren't able to find our server when we needed her. She was very nice and checked on us eventually, but too late to request salt and pepper and ketchup and mustard, which were not available on the table nor were they offered. Lastly, my pet peeve is the electronic payment device that restaurants are using now, which involves the server standing over you while you decide on the tip (with the suggestions on the bill). That's a practice that annoys me more than a bad meal. We would not recommend this restaurant and unfortunately don't plan to return. read more

Nice building but food was horrible. Hard to mess up a burger but they managed to do it. They call it a smashburger but the patty is just really small, dry, and flavorless. All they have is thousand island dressing to put on it, asked for ketsup and mustard and they forgot. They only have bread and butter pickles, not a dill pickle in sight. Fish was burnt and dry, and tasted like charcoal. Giving it 1star cuz the ranch dressing is good. read more

We were excited to visit Zipline Tap & Grill since we love the Zipline breweries. However it was a disappointing experience. We were told we could not fill growlers and our server was not attentive. Really!? $50 meal for 2 - how misleading! Supposed 8 oz prime! Not even size of a deck of cards - which is guide for 4 OUNCES!! Meal for 2 came with shrimp - 4 COCKTAIL sized shrimp! Finally the mashed potatoes (which could not be substituted) was the size of ONE ice cream scoop - FOR TWO!? To top things off - we were requested to leave to make room for other reservations. This request came just after no additional drinks were ordered - despite the fact that we had not yet finished our drinks that were ordered with our meal! Others who came in at same time around us were not approached with the same request. Perhaps they were ordering more drinks and were allowed time to finish their existing drinks! They offered a dessert! There was time for that! But apparently not for only one person to finish their beer. They should have been embarrassed instead of being so brash. This was our 2nd visit and both times there were issues with the hostesses. Today we had reservations. We ordered a special meal for two that was supposed to include two 4oz. filets, grilled shrimp, asparagus and a mashed potatoes. We asked for a substitution for potatoes (like extra veg or salad) and it wasn't allowed. When we got our order, it was one plate with two oddly shaped pieces of beef, one partially hidden under the other. One chunk was maybe 2oz. and that's a stretch...the 2nd piece barely 3oz. if that. Then 4 small shrimp. I thought it was a mistake, or that a 2nd plate was coming....but no. We were stunned. Not enough meat for one, conservative eater, let alone two. It was very pricey. Not cooked to order either. We were with another couple so did not want to make a scene. We felt misled and cheated out of a meal. This restaurant masquerades as fine dining but is way off.
