Had an opportunity to visit this establishment for the first time. Reviews were mostly good. Upon arrival, parking is challenging at the location - my reservation was for and told it was an "outdoor" experience, wound up inside (fine) but next time I will dress accordingly. We were seated upstairs. Building and decor is charming. Waitress and service was terrible, she seemed to make an "appearance" when it was good for her. Anything we needed we had to ask others and they had the "don't bother me" look. Food - decent/average. Honestly nothing to write home about. Had pizza - greasy, chicken not cooked well. Rest of party had basic food and there was nothing special. Again, not awful but nothing impressive. Don't go out of your way to come here. My family and I stopped into The Mill, needing to re-charge after coming in from a flight into Philly. It's a quaint restaurant that used to be a mill (duh!) very homey and chill. They do take out service on the first floor, of their wood-fired pizzas. I didn't try that, however. Upstairs where it's cute and cozy, we settled in for some warmth and comfort food. The service was kind and competent. The chicken pot pie was divine. Rich and flavorful and the small was only $6! It was plenty, since we also got the poutine as an appetizer... this was also fabulous, and we started fighting over the dregs like a pack of starving animals. Which we kind of were, at that point. I fully recommend this little gem if you're on your way back to the Lehigh Valley after a flight into Philly, or if you live in that area (lucky!) I wish there were a Mill nearer to Nazareth... of course, I'd probably balloon up 10-20 pounds. Better it's further away. Check it out the next time you're in the area! Terrible customer service! I placed a take out order tonight that was suppose to be ready at 5:33. I showed up at 5:30 and they were missing my pizza. Instead of apologizing and explaining their mistake they said nothing, talked to each other about messing up and I had to wait 15 additional minutes for them to make my pizza. There was absolutely no apology or acknowledgment for their mess up. This is not my first experience with them missing a pizza and having to wait for them to make it. With all the people working in the takeout/pizza area this should not be a common occurrence. read more

Totally love love this place. It is an e quaint looking restaurant from the outside but pull up behind the road and be up for a great surprise. It is a large restaurant with all brick interior, happy staff, a great menu and food that is par excellence. We have tried many different pizzas and salads at this place and it has never disappointed. It is a byob so feel free to carry your favorite bottle of wine or whatever is on your mind. This place just reopened so I'll come back and may update the review higher. The food was awesome. I love that it's BYOB. the service was friendly but looked like they were working out the early kinks. I ordered the Poutine appetizer, which was fantastic, with the works (bacon and onions) but got it without (was not charged for the extra). It arrived late...just before the meals. Small issues that I'm sure will be worked out. My pizza (The Ticket-white) was outstanding. My wife and daughter said their sandwiches were amazing. The decor is great. It's a 130 year old building and they make the most of it with exposed brick and barnwood tables. Highly recommended for wood fired pizza and great sandwiches. read more

Lovely little lunch spot for salads and classic American comfort food! Ambiance: This place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. When you first come in you'll see a takeout counter but just follow the steps and you'll see a full dining room on the second floor. Everything was clean and simple - I loved the little accents around the walls reminiscent of the location's history as a mill which really gave the place some character. Love it for lunch Food: The food is good and varied. The pizzas are well made and well portioned - I love that they have various options, including some without red sauce. I'm a big fan of their Gouda burger - they also have a high quality vegetarian burger as well from Beyond burger. The homemade chips it came with were delicious - however someone in our group decided to upgrade to sweet potato fries for $2 which were also delicious. On the healthier side, there are a few hearty salads to choose from - I'm personally a fan of the pear salad. The portions are huge and some folks in our group ended up taking about half home for dinner. Overall everything I've had is pretty good. There is something for any diet here - with plenty of vegetarian options and gluten-free substitutions available. Drink: This is a BYOB with no bar - however they serve the standard soft drinks you'd expect from a restaurant. Service: Impressed with the service! Servers are friendly and have a great attitude. Our server came around just enough to make sure that we always had everything we needed and that our water glasses were filled. There was no problem accommodating our large group (we called ahead) and the food came out in a very timely manner, which has not been my experience at other restaurants with a group of this size. Our server was even thoughtful enough to clear our plates when we asked her to take a photo of us because she thought it would make the photo look better! Value: Hovering at around $10-$12 an entree - prices here are very reasonable, especially for what you get! While the appetizers seemed pricey to me at around the same price ($10-$12), it's not outlandish and is more than covered by the savings on drinks. Stopped by on a recommendation for a family friendly dinner. Glad we did because we all enjoyed our dinner. This two story restaurant, which has ample parking, is broken into two levels. The first floor is counter service with some tables you can eat at if you want. You can't help to notice the wood burning oven when you walk in cranking out pizzas. Upstairs is the dining room where you can sit down and have wait service, which is where we headed. The server brought out crayons and a decent kids menu, which was filled with activities to keep the kids busy while we waited for the food. Perfectly brewed unsweetened ice tea with fresh lemon served in cute mason jars. The chicken salad sandwich special was surprisingly amazing. The beet and walnut salad with quinoa was hearty and healthy. Kids ordered the cheese pizza and some chicken tenders. The tenders were high quality. The pizza was a bit doughy and my picky 5 year old only ate the cheese. Really the only disappointment. Homemade chips and French fries gave this place an extra star alone. Combine that with the Freddy Hill Farms vanilla ice cream that comes with the kids meal for dessert and you get 5 stars. It's my new favorite. read more

The food was good last night but the service was really lacking. We ordered appetizers to share among the 4 of us. We asked for small dishes. They brought to the table dishes that hadn't been washed. One still had ketchup all over it. WE had to take them up to the service station to get clean dishes ourselves. If we had waited for them to bring them we would probably still be there. Our sandwiches arrived and there was hardly any place to put them because the dirty dishes from the appetizers were still on the table. We actually had to tell the server to remove the dirty dishes. It's a BYOB, so a group of us made a quick stock in the local beer store and then off to The Mill. We were seated immediately and the service was fantastic. Every time I've been there (3 times this past month) they were out of their main desserts - fav part (brownies/bread pudding). Desserts that were on the menu (and not marked sold out). They really need to be sure to make enough (clearly they don't) or don't advertise them!! Super frustrating. Even came in beginning of week when menu was just created and of course didn't have it. We ordered once and was told the wait was an hour so we went in an hour later to pick up the food just to find out it was ready a half hour prior and the food was already super cold. Okay so no big deal. The next time we tried calling in an order to give them a second chance and because there isn't a ton of options in Harleysville was told they ran out of dough? A pizza shop ran out of dough?? (Keep in mind this is Friday night) You would think they would prepare for the weekend. This place is super unorganized and clearly can't plan ahead. We decided we wanted to go there for Valentine's Day dinner but ended up getting sidetracked until about 9:30 and placed an order for pickup. The food was really good. My date got a burger and fries, which the fries were excellent. The burger tasted good/average, and it was huge. I got the mill salad with chicken added. I requested wing sauce for my salad, and they obliged after some discussion. Which leads me to our waitress and the whole service experience. The waitress was inattentive, and she quite frankly made us uncomfortable and as though we were an annoyance. We tipped her well, but she most definitely did not deserve it. Our favorite place to eat in the Lansdale area. Family owned brick oven pizza. The Mill melt is my favorite. The housemade chips are perfectly salty and sweet w just a touch of cinnamon. The buffalo dip is a big enough for four, you'll take half of it home if there's only two of you. They don't usually take reservations so you may have to wait a bit for seating up stairs in the full service dining room. The downstairs self service dining room is good if your kids don't want to wait. BYOB read more
