We found this place while walking around the small town. Their menu is unfortunately small and there was only one person working - she was working the bar and being a server! The food was okay. I found The Mint while browsing through Yelp and thought what a cool place to check out. Headed there about 830pm and as we walked the place was crowded and was excited to try the food and just check the place out. We stood there for a good ten minutes. No one greeted us.... The same server walked past us twice and i pretty much felt invisible. Another server did the same. I completely understand it was busy but it only takes a minute to smile or say welcome or something..... we put our name on the waitlist because we saw a sign in and hoped at some point someone would let us know to sign in. Nope! We waited a few more minutes and decided this wasn't the place we wanted to spend our evening. I was expecting much but that was rude. We went elsewhere. I don't believe this to be the Livingston hospitality and if it is I definitely will not be coming back. read more

I ate lunch here on a Sunday, shortly after they opened. I had the nachos and a beer. Overall, solid bar food. The bartender was fast and nice enough. The vibe and decor is fun and keeps a lot of the history of the building. They play great music too. I would imagine in the evenings or on a Friday/Saturday it gets busy. read more

Been here several times and had the poppers. Actually come here to have the poppers because traditionally they are so good. Tonight they were so spicy we could not even eat them. No quarter was given for the fact that we could not eat the poppers. It would've been really nice if the waitress had offered an alternative. We ended up paying for something we could not eat. The food, the service the ambience were perfect! The mint circa 1908) is an old bar that used to be a mercantile back in the day. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and a fresh salad. Stopped in here to grab some snacks on our ride from Gardiner Montana to white sulphur springs. We had a Caesar (do not recommend), a glass of wine and a mixed drink (well made). We had the bacon and blue cheese burger, the mint burger, hot honey chicken sandwich which were all delicious (especially the chicken). Highly recommend the dry rub fries with ranch. 10/10 experience. We stopped in for quick food and were seriously impressed. The scratch-made chicken sammy was the standout--crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can tell it's made in-house and not an afterthought. The homemade ketchup and ranch deserve their own shoutout-- fresh, flavorful, and way better than anything bottled. We also tried the burgers and they were excellent. The beef tastes high quality and fresh, not frozen, which makes a huge difference. Everything felt thoughtfully done without being overcomplicated. Went to Montana to visit Yellowstone for my birthday. We stayed in Livingston where this bar/restaurant is. We were just looking for something to eat and boy were we impressed. I got the pork chops with this awesome apple and onion jam, mashed potatoes and broccolini. Whewww for a random hole in the wall place it hit the spot! Big pork chop too. That jam with each bite was great too. The service was also very fast and accommodating. If you're in the town (maybe staying to visit Yellowstone too) give it a try. Recently dined at the Mint. I'm from California and wasn't sure what to expect in this tiny town. Absolutely loved the ambience but even more than this the food and service was next level and made the night even that much more FUN!! Our server was Michelle. Stopped in for a drink while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant. Menu came, took a look and decided that was going to be dinner for the night. The Black "N"Bleu burger was one of the best I've ever had, and the amount of bleu cheese was perfect. The Chicken Sammy was also amazing as well as the jalapeño poppers. Really good food, service, and old school bar feel to this place. We sat at the bar for dinner and cocktails and honestly it was pretty damn good. Bartenders were both social and attentive, the food was pretty quick to the table, and I wish there were more places like this around Montana. Nope nope nope. The only thing good about this place was they had a baseball game playing in the tv. And the bathrooms rocked. The male bartender, was a big shot.
