My family and I had a wonderful and fun experience at the Owl Lounge. We tried about 4 or 5 different martinis throughout the night and they were ALL delicious! The staff and bartenders were nice and loved making the cocktails. The vibe was great with bar seating, tables, and nice booth seats along the wall. One of my favorites in Livingston for sure.

They squeezed us in - a lovely lounge spot by the fire. We had two kids , 5 and 7, hangry from a day on the slopes - and they were so kind. Food arrives on room-service carts, and ours was all Cold. Not just temperate or not-hot, but room-temp. $25 Wagyu Cheeseburger sound pretty good? Nope. It wasn't even kept under a heatlamp between the era when it was made and when it was served. Edges were dry and cold, not even warm in the center, zero juice. I get it, resort prices, convenience of eating in the Summit Lodge, trying hard not to complain about the $25 price, but it was just a limp cold burger. Fries? Also cold. I mean, the least they could have done, after recognizing the long time passed between making the meal and serving it, is refresh the fries, no? Cold greasy fries, cold dry overcooked burger. One star at any price. It's not like there's a shortage of burger options right at the Summit either. Am I going to complain that it was $75 for three burgers at our table? No, not if they were hot juicy Wagyu Cheeseburgers, but then, these were not.

Spacious couches and lounge areas mixed with bar seating and smaller high top tables makes this a great spot for groups big or small. Can't imagine any circumstance where a party wouldn't feel welcome here or appreciate the layout. Service was great - all the bartenders dress "on brand" and able to make suggestions while ensuring our drinks stayed as full as we wanted them too (but also totally good with us just being low key) Pro tip: They allegedly have the best grilled cheese and tomato soup in Bozeman, so guess I'll have to go back for that. One downside? They need to change their name! I can NEVER remember it and neither can my friends. Makes it less memorable in a spot that would otherwise be high on the list!

I might have given this bar a higher rating, had I not been to the rooftop bar in the same hotel…read morethe night before. I hate to compare but it's crazy how different two places can be in the same hotel. The service here was abysmal. We came at the end of someone's set and it wasn't that crowded in the bar but almost every single table was dirty, with empty glasses on them. There seemed to be one bartender and another person helping. That person literally just stood there talking to people instead of cleaning up the tables. The bartender was pretty rude too and didn't seem to be into working here at all. The only clean table was by the door and it kept getting opened while the next band set up so we just moved to a table with dirty glassware on it. The drinks were pretty lackluster (especially compared to the awesome ones upstairs). I don't think it was that the menu was inferior to the other, I just think the bartender didn't care. Both my drinks were watered down and icy. Pretty sad for the price to be honest. It got pretty crowded for the second set being played so we decided to leave to let other people sit. I wasn't interested in having another icy sad drink.

The food and drinks were excellent, but the highlight of the night was Trent. We were looking for recommendations on things to do in the area, and Trent absolutely delivered. Scenic drives, sightseeing spots, Yellowstone stops, local attractions--you name it, he had a recommendation for it. The suggestions were coming faster than we could write them down, and every time we thought he was done, he'd remember three more places we needed to see. His food and cocktail recommendations were spot on, and he was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. As an added bonus, his voice carries exceptionally well, so hearing all of those recommendations was never an issue, even on a busy Friday night. Copper is a great spot, but Trent is what made the experience memorable. If you find yourself sitting at his bar, settle in--you'll leave with a great meal, a great drink, and a much longer list of places to visit than you arrived with.

The place is "underground" so to speak - so it had a very attractive setting for dinner. The bar area is HUGE. Great selection of local MT brews which is always a plus in my book. My daughter ordered the Cooper Burger ($19), SIL ordered the Bison Ragu ($29), my bride ordered Brussel Sprouts ($16) and I ordered the Pan Seared Trout ($29). Everyone was very pleased with their selections. I personally loved the trout - it's seasoning and was cooked to perfection...along with the broccolini and sweet potato hash it was a great choice. Service was super friendly from Kendra. We recommend and would definitely come back again!
