    Banana Tarte Tatin

The drinks and dessert were the best parts. We dined at Brigade for our anniversary dinner. I had high hopes; but, unfortunately, it wasn't great. Some parts were better than others though. I'll start with appetizers. We ordered oysters and a baguette. The oysters were good but I found the mignonette lacking flavor. There was nothing special about the baguette. We were given two options for compound butter and asked if we could try both. The sweeter of the two options was better and we were charged for the second. My husband and I both ordered ribeyes with chimichurri for our entrees. Both steaks were overcooked and not at all tender. We've had better at more affordable restaurants. I ordered the "Boss Nova" cocktail, the flavors were okay for the most part but it was severely watered down. My husband ordered the non-alcoholic "Cream Dream" and had the same response. The dessert was definitely the star of the show. We opted for the Banana Tarte Tatin and Kladdkaka. It was definitely the highlight of the entire meal. Food aside, the restaurant was a little noisy, which was to be expected. The part of the experience we primarily found lacking was the service. Our waitress very rarely checked on us and only refilled our water once. I'm bummed we had a lackluster experience. If we ever come back, it would just be for dessert.

TL;DR: good lunch spot especially during the week when it's not so busy. Large portions, heavy seasoning. Service was not very attentive. A little tough to find but enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere Ordered: - Crispy pork ribs: really well balanced seasoning and when paired with the white dressing underneath, definitely the best dish of the meal - Fries: heavy heavy seasoning and huge portions. Crispy and light. - French onion soup: on the thicker side and a little too heavy on the salt. Not a fan of the crouton consistency either. - health (turmeric) shots: good bite Good spot for quick bite! Cheers, Brigade!

Taylor was an excellent server. She made good recommendations and was delightful. I had the branzino curry which was just enough food. The celeriac is a fancy Cole slaw atop the filet. The rice in green curry sauce was most flavorful. The star of the evening was the Melon Cucumber Gazpacho which was savory and refreshing. My dinner mate had the rich and cooked to perfection duck breast with mushrooms and sauce. The decor and atmosphere is very chill and hip. Great dining experience!

Sadly, tasteless all the way around.

Man, I really wanted to like this place. The decor is 10/10! The food was tasteless. Went for the Sunday Jazz Brunch. The Jazz was wonderful!! I had the eggs Benedict and it had no flavor other than egg yolk. Sign of a bad hollandaise sauce... and dry roasted little potatoes. Soooo dry! I went to the bathroom and on the way back I saw the potatoes sitting in a huge bowl (open air kitchen). They aren't fresh at all and you could tell! I'm not masterchef, but I can cook a potato. Drinks were good. Staff was 7 out of 10. Seemed a little spaced out or something. I initially wanted to try dinner at this place before I discovered the jazz brunch (big Jazz fan) so I miiiight give them another shot. Undecided.

We came here thinking they had halibut on the menu however when we arrived and checked out the menu it was not being served. We were sat immediately on the back wall by the bar and the young man brought us water glasses . We took a few minutes to review the menu and watched a server attend to another table seated after us. Then about 3 minutes later "our" server showed up to fill water and take the order. We placed the order for the Petal Pusher and waited for her to come back so I could inquire about the burger ....we were able to order them so 2 with no lemon aioli. We also ordered the charcuterie board for a starter. We did ask for straws for our drinks but were unable to use them because our server brought them with her bare fingers close to the top. I feel like after Covid we've been hyper vigilant about cleanliness and germs. It's easy enough to use a napkin to pick and carry the straws. I also ordered a sprite because they didn't have Pepsi and she brought me a coke. However the food was actually great and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Brigade First day in Bozeman, my brother suggested dinner at Brigade. When you arrive at 233 East Main Street you will need to go to the second floor. Stairs and elevator available. Beautiful restaurant with plenty of dining and bar space. We had a great waitress, and even the bartender (Cody) was specific to make sure our drinks were made appropriately. We started with the bison dumplings. My sister-in-law had the kale salad which was delicious (we all got to sample). We shared the calamari linguini with chorizo. Everything was served quickly and hot.

Please tell me why we were charged an extra $2 for sharing a baguette that is literally under the "shared" section of the menu. It didn't even come on two plates or with two sets of utensils. Absolutely ridiculous. Service was also very slow and had to wait ten minutes to get a knife for the steak after we had already been served our food. I would not recommend.

This brightly lit space is welcoming as are the staff. We were on a 25th anniversary trip to Yellowstone and were told we needed to stop by Brigade. Food portions are sizable and probably should have been split between us, but what are vacations for? Great place for foodies and tourists.

One of the best gems in downtown Bozeman. We stumbled on this place our first day in town and lucked out because it just so happened to be Happy Hour! What a freaking deal! We got $3 mixed cocktails and beers. Yes, you read that correctly. Let me say that again. THREE DOLLAR COCKTAILS! Along with perhaps the most economical cocktails ever, we indulged in truffle french fries and some raw bar oysters--both of which were also on the happy hour menu. The coolest part of this place is the blend of western + industrial decor overlooking the main street. If you're lucky enough, you'll score a seat alongside the windows that open directly over Main Street. Great vibes + AMAZING HAPPY HOUR!

Such a cute brunch spot! Our server was attentive and the food came out quick. Brunch was recently added to the menu so the restaurant itself was a bit empty, hoping to go back sometime for dinner and see it more busy!

Spacious couches and lounge areas mixed with bar seating and smaller high top tables makes this a great spot for groups big or small. Service was great - all the bartenders dress "on brand" and able to make suggestions while ensuring our drinks stayed as full as we wanted them too (but also totally good with us just being low key) Pro tip: They allegedly have the best grilled cheese and tomato soup in Bozeman, so guess I'll have to go back for that. One downside? They need to change their name! I can NEVER remember it and neither can my friends. Makes it less memorable in a spot that would otherwise be high on the list!

I hate to compare but it's crazy how different two places can be in the same hotel. The service here was abysmal. We came at the end of someone's set and it wasn't that crowded in the bar but almost every single table was dirty, with empty glasses on them. There seemed to be one bartender and another person helping. That person literally just stood there talking to people instead of cleaning up the tables. The bartender was pretty rude too and didn't seem to be into working here at all. The only clean table was by the door and it kept getting opened while the next band set up so we just moved to a table with dirty glassware on it. The drinks were pretty lackluster (especially compared to the awesome ones upstairs). I don't think it was that the menu was inferior to the other, I just think the bartender didn't care. Both my drinks were watered down and icy. Pretty sad for the price to be honest. It got pretty crowded for the second set being played so we decided to leave to let other people sit. I wasn't interested in having another icy sad drink.

The wait is not that long.. we came here as walk in's 2x on our 1week stay that started in Bozeman, went down to Yellowstone, then to Idaho for UTV riding and then to Jackson Hole WY to go see the Teton National Park. It was nice to walk around the local shops while we waited and then afterwards to work off those delicious carbs. Thin crust pizzas clean, fresh, not heavy and seasonal ingredients. The crust is soooo good. Chewy and some char. We had: Montana Burger Royale My teen son dreams about this. Yes its 27.00 and he said its the BEST burger he's ever had. I would have to agree (and we live in Austin TX where there's great cow) -the burger meat melted in your mouth -the egg dripping as you break the yolk was perfection.
