TLDR - scroll to the bottom for bullet points. :) I've gone back to Vegas about 6x in the past 30 years and when I do, it's on family business, in and out, nothing more. But when I found out about the punk museum, I put it on my bucket list. So, when I was out there last week, I was determined to get there. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. The website suggests reserving an appointment. It also highly suggests rideshare since parking is limited. I did neither. It was a weekday and I was leaving it up to fate. Anyhow, I totally understand why they make those suggestions. There are probably like 12 parking spots or so? And reservation ensures you a guided tour. Having fate on my side, I got a parking spot AND a guided tour by Rob Ruckus. He was already in the middle of the tour, but the front desk told me I might be able to catch up with the group - which I did. We got detailed history, some cool stories on Rob's own personal experiences and we even got to sit on and handle a few displays like Kurt Cobain's couch and Joan Jett "covid" guitar. I think you can hang out in social distortions livingroom set, but I wasn't there for that part of the tour. I spent a whole afternoon going through every display. It was an unforgettable experience and I'm so glad I took the time to visit it. - Founder is Fat Mike - which explains all the NOFX memorabilia lol - Friendly, welcoming staff - I think it was $50? I don't remember - to be honest, I didn't even ask the price. - VERY limited parking - clean and organized - bar, tattoo and music shop located inside the museum - guided tour - gift shop (gah I regret not buying the tiki cup!) - restrooms available - 2 story buiding of history and memorabilia. read more

Saturday in early March, I couldn't believe that the maps showed this in Vegas so had to come here myself to check if it was real. And it is! This museum is a must visit for any rock fan. Whether you're into punk rock or not, you cannot deny the music's influence on pop culture and their significance in the local music scene where the artists hail from. There is plenty of exhibits, interesting facts, and historic cool artifacts from decades of artists. Favorite exhibits were from bands I grew up rocking to including NOFX, The Offspring, Green Day, Pennywise, DropKick Murphys, and The Clash. The guitars, jackets, posters, and photos are all on display that tell the story of how these bands/artists originated and came into their own. Just relentless touring and copious amounts of blood, sweat, and tears poured into their music. There's a merchandise area when you enter along with a bar attached plus the museum is kid friendly. Noticed plenty of parents with their kids showing them what they grew up on. This is what paying it forward is all about. See this spot for yourself! read more

This place is incredible! Room after room of amazing exhibits and memorabilia. AMAZING! I am a young Gen Xer, so my interest in punk is more from the '90s: Green Day, NOFX, Social D, The Offspring, and such, so it was awesome to see the punk scene from the '70s and early '80s that I missed as a kid. Highly recommended! I have two recommendations in hopes that the staff sees this. :) 1. The museum allows children of all ages to come with their parents, including on tours. The museum's website indicates that all children must be accompanied by their parents at all times, but this isn't enforced anywhere because the staff is only visible/present at the front entrance. My tour was absolutely ruined by specific parents who had dragged along their two incredibly bored and rambunctious children. I think that they were like 3 and 6 years old? In every room that we toured, the kids were constantly talking, goofing off, playing "tag," shrieking, and overall loudly using potty humor during the poor tour guide's stories (6 year old: "That boy (pointing to a pic of one of Joey Ramone, I think?) is a poo-poo head." 3 year old sister: "No he's not, he's a pee-pee head." loud giggles). Do I believe that kids belong in public spaces? You betcha! BUT....the problem is that many parents have no common sense and drag their young children along because it's easier for them. But that means that tours are ruined due to kids being super distracting and loud and not caring about the museum. So, why doesn't the museum have designated tours that are all ages, and other specific tours that are 18+ (or at least 12+)? It would be very easy for the museum staff to decide which tours on which days/dates are adults-only tours, but I think that no one at the museum wants to take the initiative and figure this out and then enforce it? But doing so would greatly improve the quality and integrity of the tours, instead of having them ruined by parents who drag their young children (and it's so rude to the poor tour guide who's trying to talk and share stories but is loudly interrupted constantly by young children). 2. In most of the rooms, there are AMAZING photos on the walls with a number beneath or next to it with a corresponding list to let you know whom and when. However.....nearly all of the walls that have photos have the captions/guide with the corresponding number on only one side of the wall, far away from the actual photos. The museum printed out one sheet that lists like 10 photos and they indicate who the photo is of and what year and they assign each photo a number, and this guide is on one side. Why not have the individual captions directly UNDER each photo? It takes more time to print that out and cut them and glue them under each individual photo, but it seems worth it. It's hard to keep walking back and forth from the one guide all the way on the side to see each pic one by one, and having the one guide on the side isn't exactly friendly to any guests with physical disabilities who may have difficulty moving back and forth. Here is an example: Also, for some of these photos, the number is super small and either directly under a photo or on the side of the photo - it's not consistent! It's confusing and not very accessible to neurodivergent guests who may have learning disabilities. So, if you're not going to bother to make the captions more accessible to all guests by printing them out individually and gluing them directly under each individual photo, at least please be consistent with your lists! Have them ALL be vertical or in two columns left and right, but please make it predictable so that your guests with learning disabilities may be able to access the info. It's not helpful when some photos have the number under while other pics have the number on the left or the right. It's all chaotic! Ideally, each photo has the caption directly underneath. That would be so wonderful if you could please make that change. Thank you!!!! \m/ [EDIT June 20, 2026]: Jason, thank you for your reply! I do appreciate it. And I appreciate it more when businesses actually IMPLEMENT change, rather than just responding with the standard default of "Thank you for your feedback. We passed it along to the _______ team." If you truly want to make your tours more enjoyable, then please have specific tours that are adults/young adult only, and please put photo captions underneath each individual photo. If your collection rotates and you get new photos, then you'd have to reprint the whole list of photo captions anyway. It would actually save the museum staff more time by only needing to print out captions for the NEW pics. Plus, doing this would make it more accessible to your guests with physical or learning disabilities. So, win-win!!!!! read more

Hubs had been asking to go to the Punk Rock Museum for the last couple Vegas trips. We finally had some time, so I obliged on our most recent trip. We are both big fans of the genre of music, so seeing all of the historical items was fun. It was like taking a trip through the archives. You could get through the museum quickly if you needed to or you could linger and take your time too. We got through in about an hour and 15 minutes and then enjoyed a drink at the bar. The only thing I didn't love here was the cost. I think it's about $10 more than it should be, but we still enjoyed our time spent. read more

DON'T BE A POSEUR! The punk rock museum has it all! What I loved about this museum is that it's so multi media. There's leather jacket art, fashion, photographs, instruments, flyers and so much more. This also spans from the start and different countries up to more current punk stuff. Of course, I'm here for the Damned, Ramones, Lunachicks, Nausea, Misfits, Negative Approach, Black Flag and soooo many more. There is a record shop, you can get tattoos, there's a gift shop and there's even a bar. It's a one stop shop kind of experience. Could not recommend enough. I would recommend you cushion more time to see everything. There's is tons to really absorb. Don't rush! This museum rocks! They have a bar, tattoos, music store, and plenty of punk history. If you are a local, admission is discounted. I think they have musical guests that come here. Picked a bad weekend to come here, coincided with Punk rock bowling so was jam packed. We ordered tix in advance and had picked Toby Morse from H2 0 As our guide. ( more on that later) When we arrived for our 5 pm tour. We were told Toby was 530 and we had someone else. We weren't happy but was hot, had an under age person with us so couldn't go to the bar, so we just said fine, we'll do the 5. At 5 guess what, Toby was the tour guide! Then they tried to kick us off the tour cause they gave Ilya the wrist bands for the other guy from Husker Du. We weren't happy like nope, we picked 5 and were going at 5. They let us stay I didn't know until we got tix they have special guests come in and give tours on the weekends. Tour before us was angry from Social Distortion. Was really fun. They don't give them any training so you get to experience it with the guides like it's all your first time! Bar was fun, grabbed a quick drink while the rest of the party was in the gift shop. I was taking a red-eye back to New York and was looking for a few things to fill my day before leaving for the airport. I was on Yelp and saw that one of my friends had checked into The Punk Rock Museum a couple of days before and that instantly caught my eye. A quick skim of the reviews all said how great this place was - that's all that was needed and next thing I knew I was en route. I wouldn't consider myself an afficionado of punk rock; I've only listed to a few artists associated with the genre. However I'm a fan of rock music and really appreciate all genres - I just love music! Upon entry you are immediately greeted by the gift shop where I purchased my ticket; there's a bar to the right with the actual museum taking up the rest of the space. My visit was self-guided, though they offer guided tours which looks like are conducted by actual punk rock musicians - super cool. The museum spans two floors and is very comprehensive - they have a huge collection of photographs, memorabilia, and artifacts from different punk rock groups through the years. It was super interesting to see it all - some of it was familiar to me but I also learned a lot of new things. A highlight for me was the exhibit dedicated to Saint Vitus in Brooklyn - I attended a show there before it closed and seeing all the pics of the other acts that played there really put everything into perspective. Staff was super friendly, and overall I really enjoyed my experience at the Punk Rock Museum. I'm a bit salty about the parking situation when we went. We went during WWWY weekend and so was everyone else, and there was a market in the parking kit, so no parking anywhere. We were told we could park where the red lines were, then told not to. We were told to park in the bike lanes, but I was too nervous about it (we had our luggage in the car and too nervous for it to be towed). We drove to another part of town and had to take an uber there. So be aware of the parking when you go there. Once there is was awesome to see my favorite bands memorabilia! My taste in music is in the new rock section the museum which is upstairs by the bar. The old school rock is cool, but upstairs is where I loved it! Again, because it was WWWY, I got to see a member from Bayside and Jaret from Bowling for soup while they were giving tours, so that was cool! They also have a room where you can hold rockstars' guitars! I got to hold Tonys guitar from Pierce the Veil! This was such a cool museum, but I was salty snot the parking situation. read more

First off location, I don't know why I thought that it was in a better location, but whatever it's fine. It's got a tiny parking lot but there's plenty of parking that little darlings next-door. We did park across the street that curb makes it hard to park which again who cares it's just parking. Next we walked into the place. They checked our IDs. The guy scanned us in at the cash register, he asked us if we wanted to sign up for the tour.. which was two hours later so we did not do that. Both the people that assisted us were very friendly asked if we had any questions. It was a self-guided tour. I do wish they had more international punk bands as well. It was OK. Honestly, it was good for a one time visit for me. In my opinion a lot of specific band going on. It was cool, I was just expecting more of some reason. The open garage where the band play looked cool, I can only imagine when they have the only imagine when they have bands haha. There are sooo many good punk bands out there that got overlooked but again probably limited access. Never got into "Punk", it was late '60's stuff, Dylan, the Stone, then Ac/DC and "the big hair bands, Poison, etc. But, hey, I was in Las Vegas, did "Meow Wolf", "the Mob Museum and thought , "why not"? It was excellent, the photos, the memorabilia and the folks running it were great. Wow, spent two hours and though I still don't like the music (nothing was blaring or intrusive), the displays were the best! I left with a far better appreciation and time well spent! If you are a punk rock fan or just a music fan in general this is an amazing place to visit. We visit Vegas often and this was always on my must-see list then they announced Fat Mike from NOFX was going to be doing a tour when we were in town, and I hopped on it right away. NOFX is one of my favorite bands and if you know Fat Mike you know this tour was going to be awesome. Now you can come take a self-guided tour which is $40, and you can take your time and take everything in. For me the big draw here is all the amazing artist who come and give guided tours. They are pricier at $100 each but to me it's worth it especially if it's a person from your favorite band giving the tour. They give you so much insight and a different perspective from where they came from, their journey through the punk scene and how it all relates to them. Not only do they have band members giving tours, but I've seen standup comedians and tour managers such as the one who runs Warped Tour give tours so always check the updated list of who is giving tours. As far as the museum it's an amazing place. All the pieces that that they have gathered, which have all been donated by the bands, are amazing to look at. Even for my wife who is far from a punk fan enjoyed all viewing all the history in this place. Since we had the guided tour from Fat Mike, who helped put this place together, it was interesting to hear how all of it came together and all the crazy stories he had about all the bands who were in this museum. They have articles from the very start of punk to even a section of new up and coming punk bands so it's nice to see that they cover it all. There is even a jam room where you can play some of your favorite band's instruments. After the tour there is so much to do here. As mentioned, you can act like you're in a band and jam out, you can get a tattoo and their tattoo parlor and get a drink at their bar. You can honestly spend so many hours here and still feel like you haven't seen it all. In the front/exit of the museum there is a small little shop where they have tons of merchandise that you can pick up. We grabbed a few items so we can have memories of the amazing time we had here but best believe this will not be the last time we come to visit here. read more

My husband and I were blown away by how the museum curated the genre. My husband felt nostalgia and at home at the museum, as he's been playing punk and ska music since his high school days. Although, I'm not a fan of the punk rock genre, I enjoyed the clothing, the art, learning of the movement's history and how it brought solidarity and upliftment to those who struggled to find community. The Punk Rock Museum has been on my Vegas hit list since I saw it open last year. I was lucky enough to have the time to swing by a few weeks ago when I was in town. TLDR: this place kicks ass! Bought tickets online. Very easy process. Only thing worth noting is that the hours listed seemed inconsistent across platforms. Thought they opened at 12, but you could get tickets for as early as 10. No biggie, just an FYI. Vegas residents get a discount too, which is rad! Added bonus was the pop up market they had in the parking lot before entering the museum. Local vendors, a food truck, very loud music blaring through the speakers, and a beautiful lineup of tatted humans with mohawks and cutoff denim jackets selling their goods. Vibes were high from the get go, and made me even more excited to explore the museum. Misfits, Black Flag, Social Distortion, Dead Kennedys, Green Day, Sex Pistols, Bad Religion, My Chemical Romance, NOFX, Rancid, Fugazi, Bad Brains, The Clash, etc. You name it, they're represented! The museum has a natural flow to it. There's a plethora of memorabilia, instruments, lyric sheets, tour posters, outfits, zines, and a wide selection of photographs to gaze at. For me, I loved the Social Distortion room. I wasn't expecting to see such a large chunk dedicated to them. It was so damn cool. Additional fun elements of the museum include a tattoo parlour on the second floor (yes you heard that right!), a full bar downstairs, a gift shop, and a jam room with instruments taken from famous bands that you can actually play. Rumor has it they have a wedding chapel too! Hey if that floats your boat, what a memorable place to tie the knot. It's Vegas after all! My coworker and I had a blast. I easily could've spent another hour or so reading everything. For those who want an even more informative experience, you can book a group tour. I did want to add that all the staffers here were extremely friendly, too. Any music fan should come here at least once. Loved it! read more

The only drawback was the limited parking on site but the security person told me that there was parking by the Little Darlins sign that was next door. read more

I had a really good experience visiting the punk rock museum. Parking is limited, but there were open spots on a Sunday afternoon. Upon entering my ID was checked to make sure I was over 21, after that I proceeded to the counter where a lovely girl explained how the museum was divided and what to expect. It was great seeing so much memorabilia and learning about some of the most iconic punk rock groups through the decades. As a fan of punk and emo, I was surprised to see how much I did not know and how much of the bands I left growing up were influenced by the ones that came before them. We had a great experience! We went during a weekday so there wasn't much of a crowd. The staff are all friendly and knowledgable! There is a tattoo shop upstairs, along with a jam room. The bar downstair is a perfect place to grab a drink after a walk through the museum. I grew up listening to a lot of the bands show cased and it was nostalgic for sure! I asked the staff if they are just temporary and I was told that they are here to stay! They have plenty of stickers, shirts and merch at the gift shop which is where the museum begins. There is so much history and memorabilia stuffed in this place, and somehow it is organized in a way that is not at all overwhelming. There are sections divided by eras and genres. From the obscure to the pop, a vast amount of punk culture is represented here. The bar has good drinks and decent deals. Upstairs, there is an area where you can play instruments from various punk icons. You may even run into one or two while you are there, especially if you take a guided tour. What a great museum! If you are a punk rock fan, you will love this place! Even if you're not, it's super interesting! For me, it was fun to see so many artifacts that are connected to many of my friends from Los Angeles. I loved seeing band flyers (that I probably even had at one point) advertising gigs at venues that I am very familiar with. I even sent photos of a couple of the flyers to friends that were in those bands! It was cool to see instruments, clothing, and other items that belonged to well-known punk musicians. I was surprised to see a dress on display made by an old friend that made me a vest back in the day! There is some clean video footage of the Germs that you won't see anywhere else. It's wild to be reminded of how Pat Smear looked in those days! There are also areas dedicated to Joe Strummer, Johnny Thunders, and others, which I enjoyed seeing. Upstairs, there is a tattoo shop, an "in memoriam" video playing (I was told it is at least 2 hours long!), and more displays. But my favorite thing up there is the guitar room where you can "play the actual guitars and basses played through the amps the artists played them through." When we walked in there, a friendly guy was working on a guitar and told us it is the one room where they encourage you to touch things.
