I didn't eat food here. Not sure they even serve food. The service was excellent for a bar. Super fun vibe with two pool tables and apparently they play music sometimes. There is a decent selection of beers on draft too. The glasses in the photo are empty, but a friend and I shared two Hazy IPA's from a local brewery. This is a dive bar. The interior is decorated with Polaroid photos, art, and the ceiling has cool things like kegs, a phone, and signage. Forgot to take pictures. Street parking seems to be plentiful too. Go. Have. A drink. Cheers!!

Great but the new assistant bar tender ignores me every time I try to order. Unbelievable

The Quintessential neighborhood bar, great jukebox, pool, live music and now with wireless internet. Daily Happy Hour Live Music, Low Cover Charge Greatest Jukebox Yeah, we're in the U-district, but not a "college bar." The Monkey is a "come as you are" hang-out. Providing a friendly atmostphere where one can come to hang out and hear some great music, play some pool, and meet good folk, all at an afforable night out. Here's a sampling of what happens at the Monk: Daily Happy Hour until 9pm, featuring $3 Wells, Micro's and free pool. Sunday: Happy hour all nite long, free pool; Karaoke @ 10pm, hosted by the lovely Rhiannon. Monday: Wells and Featured Micro $3 all night, Hot dawg and chilidawg nite! Tuesday: Wellz and Featured Micro $3 all night! Wednesday: $3 Wellz and $1 pints of PBR Thursday: Happy hour 'til 9pm, $4 pitchers of PBR Friday: Thank Gawd Saturday: In house pool tournament, sign up @ 5pm. Live music @ 10pm! This is my favorite bar! I've been going here since I moved to Seattle. The crowd here is family and everyone loves to meet new people and welcome them to the Monkey. Sunday is my favorite night because it's kareoke night and the bar has a great ole' time singin' till 1am. There are also softball teams that play for the Monkey; Pounders, 86'ers and my favorite, Neighbor Kids. Season is over for this year but join us for 2006! Pick-up games are on-going year-round, Sundays at Dahl field, 2pm. Anyone can play so come over! I'll have TONS of photos and much, much more details once I get a chance to sit and focus! Please drink responsively and always drive carefully!

Darts? Check Pool tables? Check Karaoke in front of random strangers? Check Dive bar to the fullest, complete with biker dudes, an awesome bartender, and some funky decorations. Shoutout to Stephi the bartender for pouring our pitchers and also singing I Kissed a Girl. Moments of the night: The minute we walked in, the guy singing took off his shirt. Singing Umbrella. And will never listen to the song the same way again.

Kareoke was great. Beer was cheap and cold. Kinda all you need but they got pool tables too

Cheap drinks and fun trivia. Mr. Door loves Patrick as the host! Definitely a fun place for college friends to hang out.

As a cider fan, I was especially happy to see a solid variety of options. Although I had a frustrating experience with the kitchen, but I'd still come back. It was an especially hectic day with multiple events and a soccer game, so it seemed like everyone arrived at once. I ended up waiting about an hour for my food, which was disappointing. That said, the staff handled the situation really well, there was consistent communication, and they took the time to engage with us, which I appreciated. Still, the kitchen delays and order issues shouldn't be overlooked. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of games, which I'm looking forward to trying next time. The location is another plus, just a few minutes' walk from the T-Link, making it very convenient.

Still decent, just not something I'd rave about. The mini golf is definitely the highlight. It's really cute how the course spells out "SEATTLE," and I loved the little Space Needle to end the last of the mini golf holes. That said, there are only 9 holes and they're pretty small, so it goes by quickly. Drinks are all on tap and feature local/Washington breweries, which I really appreciated. I love supporting local! We came during their February deal and it was such a great value -- $45 for a pizza, two pint glasses to take home, two drinks, and unlimited games. Honestly, that made the experience feel totally worth it. Duffleboard was fun, though it looked a little outdated. They also had cornhole and a ping pong table, which made it feel like like there variety of things to do. Loved the vibes/ambiance (fun art and murals) and music. Overall, a fun spot for a casual hangout -- especially if you catch one of their deals!

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

By the time we had dinner, although hungry, it was past 8 and we needed to eat a little lighter and mostly had apps, so not sure how light that meal really was. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Because it was a bit cold, my younger sister got the fried chicken ramen. Fried chicken was not chicken katsu but fried chicken. The chicken was a bit salty while the ramen had a good amount of spice to it. Ramen broth was really good, especially on a cold night for me being from Hawaii. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the cheese perogies. I enjoy perogies and haven't had any while on this trip to Seattle so a bit of a bummer. It was more like cheese ravioli. However best part of dinner was having the family together. And we ended the night on a good note. And the staff, so sweet. We appreciate you all for accommodating our family.
