Banana bread hojicha latte - I loved this one the most. I thought the banana pudding or cream that they used was so delicious. It was not too sweet. I loved how the earthiness and depths of the hojicha blended with the sweetness of the banana flavor. I will say towards the end I think I got more of the settlements of cinnamon and it became more cinnamon forward but other than that, I really love this drink. Banana bread matcha latte - I felt like this drink I got hit with the matcha first and then afterwards I got the banana flavor. I enjoyed this one, but it wasn't anything super blowing away. Strawberry shortcake latte - tastes like Special K strawberry cereal, but poured with Matcha instead of milk. I quite liked it as few sips but think the whole thing may be a bit too sweet for my preference. Also had a slightly graininess/not completely smooth which added to the cereal-ness of it (interesting since I didn't find the banana bread matcha latte grainy at all) Relatively small space with about 4-5 chairs, but super cute decor especially during Christmas. Kind service as well.
It's a small cafe with lots of anime themed cups and decor. There's a small counter to enjoy your drink or food but during the time I went at least, it was too hot with only a fan to try to manage the temp. You order via kiosk and it takes quite a while for the drinks and waffles to be made. The moo bar special with pandan cream - Way too sweet and taste off even though i already got less sweet. You don't really taste the tea either. The pandan didnt really have flavor either. Even the boba was not great, too sweet. I couldn't finish it 0.5/5 Pandan waffle - This is made to order so it takes a bit but this was fine waiting for! It had a very nice crispy outside and fluffy inside. not strong pandan flavor but the coconut sea salt cream was also very yummy. 2.75/5
I've been wanting to try a banana pudding matcha for months now and was dawn in by the signs outside the shop. You order your drink yourself on a kiosk. They had other cool matcha creations like Mango Sticky rice and Crème brûlée, as well as an assortment of boba and coffee drinks . The drink was pretty, but I honestly didn't enjoy drinking it, so I didn't finish it. There was a scoop of banana pudding on top along with a crumbly topping, but otherwise I didn't detect any banana flavor in the actual drink and the matcha seemed watered down. I think their thing is the collectible jars, but I am a dish minimalist and I think I would've preferred an option to just get my drink in a recyclable/compostable cup versus being stuck with a cartoon jar. Overall, I wouldn't return here.
Still enjoy this spot! I do still wish they had an option for non-glass jars. Something disposable I could choose when I'm not out and about. The drinks are always good though perhaps sweeter than we indicated and it was very festive inside with a giant holiday tree and decor. Server was efficient at making drinks. The winter designs are cute!
I had this place bookmarked, and since I was in town, I had to try it just because they served their drinks in mason jars with cool designs. I got a boba milk tea for me and a strawberry lemonade for the kids. I wished the strawberry lemonade also came in a mason jar because we added boba and you can't fit a boba straw in the strawberry cup, so we either had to take the lid off to use the boba straw, which is a bad idea for with a 5 and 7 year old who were drinking this while walking. We settled on them just eating the boba after they finished the drink. The boba milk tea is ok. Nothing to write home about, but the novelty of the mason jars is still cool. That alone, makes it worth at least that first visit.
i love moo bar! it's always so exciting to hope for the cup that you want and then see which one you end up getting like a blind box. I got the Matcha latte and it was on the not-too-creamy side, which makes sense because they use real milk. delicious! Service is decently fast and the cafe itself is extremely cute to take pictures in if not a little bit warm during the summer. so many adorable photoshoots have come out of this location already and I'm looking forward to going back for more!
Small cozy cafe that serves unique boba drinks in cute reusable anime themed mason jars! The main reason to come here are the mason jars. You get a random one automatically with a drink and the designs are always super cute. Some of them are from animes and some of them are unique designs, and they're constantly changing with the season so there's always something different. The drinks themselves are ok but nothing too special. Every time I come there's a new item on the menu and everything I've gotten is very picturesque. I like that they're not too sweet but the actual flavor is pretty standard. If you're looking for a place to get nice instagram pics, definitely recommend trying this place out. If you want good milk tea, then maybe go somewhere else.
So good! And such a treat! The options are great and what's best is the raindrop cake. Ugh soooo good! And this is a one of a kind, no other place in Seattle offers it. Their jars are toooo cute and reusable. The decor is small, simple and fun. The service is quick. The only downside is the parking. There is very limited street parking as this location is on a very busy street and weird intersection.
An amazing place to get all types of desserts and drinks. Everything that I ordered was perfect, not too sweet and lots of flavor. The place was so good that I didn't really have a favorite, the drinks are so pretty looking especially their new Labubu drink. Their Dubai series was unique and very good too. Overall, super friendly service, I highly recommend and would come back.
I just came for their raindrop cake and dubai strawberries. I liked the cake, it comes with a brown sugar type syrup and some brown powder I didn't use. It was nice and refreshing. The chocolate was overpowering in the strawberry skewers. I didn't order a drink, will update once I have. Also the staff is nice. The use a kiosk ordering system which I love. The seating is not very comfortable but it is a small space so that's a given.
Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #75 There's a surprising lack of boba spots in SLU, with The Moo Bar being one of currently three places. I've been to plenty of Happy Lemon locations, and I'm on a self-imposed Heytea boycott, so The Moo Bar was the only choice the last time I was in the area. As most other reviews mention, this place is apparently famous for the jars they serve their drinks in. I didn't know this going in, but it's certainly an interesting gimmick. I expected to have to pay extra for the jar, but a preselected one is actually included in the drink price. It does cost an extra $5 to choose a different design. They have a kiosk in front for easy ordering. I don't really care about service, but I do have to mention that there was only one employee in the store and I had to yell to get his attention to ask a question. Four Season Black Tea, 50% Sugar, Light Ice, Today's Bottle, House Milk w/ Honey Boba ($7.25) - Interestingly a lot of lower ratings complain about the drinks being too watery with no flavor. Maybe they are typically worse, but I found my drink to be quite pleasant, with a somewhat malty tea flavor mixed well with house milk (a non-dairy creamer) that doesn't overwhelm. The sweetness at half is nice. I don't know why they call this a Four Season tea though - that's a type of oolong with a very distinctive fragrance and this drink doesn't exhibit that flavor at all. The boba is surprisingly good. The pearls are a bit on the larger side and more craggly in surface texture vs. smooth, but they are pretty good in both chew and bounce, albeit just slightly on the firmer side. They have a brown sugar kind of taste on the exterior, puzzling given that they call it a honey boba. I guess they just mislabel stuff here or use only a small amount of honey in the soak? Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 Hong Kong Milk Tea, Today's Bottle w/ Honey Boba ($7.50) - There are no ice/sugar adjustments for this drink allowed. This drink is definitely much weaker than the other drink. There's far too much condensed milk added, making the drink extremely milky to the detriment of the tea. There's still a bit of the astringent kick coming towards the aftertaste, but it's nothing like a properly made HK-style milk tea. I wouldn't get this drink again. Milk Tea Rating: 2/5 Given all the negative reviews for this place, I have to wonder if I maybe just visited during one of their very few good days... I guess I will have to revisit and report back. Note: The Moo Bar's payment processor charges a large service fee (something around 6%). When I saw my receipt I was almost going to drop my rating to 1 star, but I guess this isn't really their fault. I do find it very suspicious that it isn't broken up and instead is lumped into "taxes and other." That should be illegal.
I really wanted to like this place because it was so cute inside and used reusable cups. Sadly the ube drink with coconut milk we ordered was one of the worst bobas I have ever had in my life, I couldn't finish it -3/10. No flavor at all, it litrally tasted like water flavored milk. The rain drop cake was yummy and service was fine. We can at 7 and all the seating had been put away. You order thru the kiosk so can't rly review the service but the drink/dessert came out fast.
Stumbled upon this cute hole in the wall bubble tea shop Sunday morning and decided to get the Ube Viet Coffee and Strawberry Matcha Latte. The barista making the drink was quite friendly and the beverages actually came out very quickly. However, I was slightly disappointed in their flavor. My girlfriend thought that the Ube didn't add much to the coffee and actually tasted more like taro. I thought that the Strawberry matcha latte, although milky and had good consistency, was a little sour when the strawberry puree was mixed in. It felt like the strawberry didn't really enhance the matcha but ended up diluting its flavor. read more
My friends and I ordered off the kiosk, which made ordering easy. However, we were shocked at the prices which ranged from $8.50-$10. The drinks came in cute mason jars with corgi prints on them and I'm assuming that's what racked up the prices. However, I would've preferred to have an option to skip the jar and pay less for the drink in a to-go cup. They have shelves with rows and rows of cups and jars on them with price tags, so I had assumed that you had to specifically ask them for the jar and pay for it if you wanted it. Clarity and an option to skip the jar would've made the experience better. I was also surprised by just how much it cost, given that other tea spots like Plentea and Roasting Water also include the free bottle/jar and cost a lot less. Drinks were ok overall. read more
If you think your party is a number exceeding 5 and needs seating, make sure to order take away. There are like 6 chairs in this room. Especially if you have kids, there are not enough lower chairs. (We ended up walking to shake shack and ordered food there as well. ) I loved the corgi glasses, they are incredibly cute. I don't think I could remember to bring mine back, but we have been reusing them at our house since my child thinks they're the greatest. There are multiple boba flavors, waffle and ice cream available at this store. They also have the famous 'rain cake'. The line was outside of the door, so prepare to wait. Cute corgi mason jars? sign me up! Each drink you order comes with a major jar that has a super adorable design on it-- they had three choices for the day and is random based on which one you get. I luckily got my first choice and was SUPER HAPPY!! Nonetheless, all their other cups are super cute as well! For the month of February (2023), if you pay in cash, you can buy a mason jar for $5 when it is usually $10. The cloudy dragon fruit was super refreshing and it was the perfect match with the cold foam. Pink dragonfruit doesn't usually have a strong taste, but this one had a slight sweetness to it and the cold foam definitely helped with enhancing its sweetness. It's a slush and the foam makes it even thicker (which I enjoyed). I got it with popping boba and it definitely added to the overall experience and I enjoyed each sip very much! The matcha horchata might be a hit or miss for some people. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. It's good to try once if you're curious, but I personally wouldn't order it again. It's a unique combination I haven't had anywhere else! The matcha was a little gritty and the cinnamon in the horchata was way too strong here. I am personally a huge fan of both matcha and horchata separately.. but just not when they're combined together. The grass jelly helped! The drink personally wasn't cold enough or sweet enough for me. I wonder if I'd like it better if either were improved (I didn't adjust ice or sweetness). Overall, decent experience if you get the right drinks! The inside is tiny but cute! They also have some dessert options and I was eyeing some other drinks I'd like to try the next time I come back. Got this brown sugar milk tea boba. Such a steal for $8 - you get this boba and the cutest glass jar for free which you get to keep. It comes with boba already in it. It was ready in about a minute! A super cute spot for boba in a trendy part of Seattle! I came by with a friend before going to a nearby salon, and the first thing I noticed was the crowd. Despite that, we were able to place our orders quickly and get our drinks in under 10 minutes. As I was craving some sugar, I decided to opt for the Creme Brûlée Brown Sugar with boba and ice cream, and my friend got a similar drink but with Oreo crumbles on top as well. The drink was milky, just the right amount of sweet, and delicious. Plus, the price was more than reasonable when you consider the fact that these came in real, glass mason jars!! I was quite surprised at how high the quality of the containers were. I had an absolutely great time and will definitely be back! read more

Cute mason jars with boba!? I've heard a lot about this boba shop since last year but never got a chance to check it out until recently when they had their Demon Slayer seasonal rotation! My friend, David L, really wanted get one of their Demon Slayer mason jars and of course, I wanted to to join in. It's located next to Monorail Espresso on Westlake Ave. There's only paid parking lots and street parking around the area. It can get really tricky finding a spot as it is in downtown. My boyfriend and I took the light rail and just walked over to avoid the headache. Kind of a far walk but great exercise! Each drink ordered came with a mason jar which is why the prices are about $8 each. The worker was nice enough to explain the entire concept of the shop and was super patient with us! Because they had other options, I opted for one of their ADORABLE corgi mason jars instead of the Demon Slayer mason jars. Because I wasn't opting to a random choice of their seasonal jars, I had to pay an additional $7 for choosing what I wanted equaling to about $15 for a drink. Really steep for a drink without alcohol LOL. BUT I ended up with a reusable jar that can last for a long time and when I come back to visit, I believer there's also a discount for bringing the jar back! I chose the strawberry lychee tea with 50% sweetness as my boyfriend was choosing the ube latte so that we could try two different drinks hehe. My drink was at first very sour but gradually, I got used to it. It was really good with the strawberry and lychee bits at the bottom! Not a strong tea flavor but the fruits made a delicious combination! The ube latte at 75% sweetness was also really good! There was a ton of ube "wall" at the bottom which needed to be mixed to balance the milk on top. Loved it! Not too sweet either. Our friends got the crème brulee (also good! nice crème brulee topping mixed with brown sugar; wasn't sweet at all either!) and black milk tea (never got to try it). Very cute concept and very eco friendly place! Been advertising our cute jars to all my friends because where else can you get boba in a mason jar? Besides the cute jars, the drinks are all really good! Will be back for more. read more

This place is adorable! I live super close by and finally tried it today. We got the house special (black milk tea) and taro milk tea during happy hour, which is everyday from 3-6 for $5 and it comes in the cute corgi mason jars! Vibes and aesthetics are so cute and there's many different corgi mason jars to collect. Didn't try any other drinks but will definitely be back! read more
I worked in the area for 2+ years and went here all the time. Although I adore Happy Lemon, too, Moo Bar is more affordable and has speedier service. Plus they have lactaid milk for people with lactose intolerance, a big plus in my view. I liked the Moo bar special, which is just black tea with milk, I'd get it unsweetened with boba or caramel pudding (pudding is now sadly missing from the menu) and it was great. People here are complaining about it but try it with the milk not the oatmilk. The rose lychee is also pretty nice. The menu seems to vary a little if you are ordering from their website vs DoorDash. read more

Such a cute little boba shop with a bunch of glass jars you can purchase. The designs range from Sailor Moon to cute corgis. Every drink comes in a big rounded-glass with a design printed on there. The design is at-random.. You cannot pick, however, you can always buy a glass that's on display, if any still available. I purchased two drinks since I wanted the glass (and it was free with each drink purchase), and the taste was great. I will return when I'm back in Seattle! read more

Cute cups that you see on Instagram and social media, but that's it. Drinks are not good, slightly above your typical powdery cafe. Liquid is pretty watered down I'd say, but drinkable. Boba has an alright consistency with decent chew, but like many other spots it lacks flavor. In the past, mason jars were like $5 or $8, I forget. Pretty steep price on top of the drink which sucks but it's a fun experience once. You don't get to pick your design so it really is a waiting game with your fingers crossed. I'm sure some people would be willing to pay a little more for the choice, but I suppose that doesn't matter. read more

My friend and I went to this place for a boba break on a Saturday afternoon around 3:15 pm. Small venue shop with limited table seating by the windows that allow natural lighting with its cute decor of flowers, mirrors, and mason jar collections. It wasn't too busy as other customers were waiting for their boba. We ordered through the self serve kiosk and we got the passion mango tea. The mason jars are what drive up the price of the boba; our 2 orders were $20. You can get a random design or purchase a specific design if you ask a staff member there. The drinks are cute themselves but clunky to bring around a glass container if you're walking in the city. Taste was refreshing and super sweet. Similar to other boba shops that I've tried that the flavor profiles all blend in, but their inclusion of designed collectible jars make them eye catching. read more

Located in a busy street so parking will be tough. Turn onto side streets for a better chance. Still might not be free. Store wasn't too busy at around 6pm on a Monday. Limited inside and outside seating. The attraction is mostly from the bottle designs which were really cool! There were seasonal demon slayer (some ran out), corgi, sailor moon, and others. $8.50 per bottle, drink NOT included. Drinks were about $6.50 without toppings/modifications. Overpriced plus not good. 7/10 Oreo Salted Cheese - Just average. Could use not Oreo. Need to be more creamy but was actually kinda watery. 4/10 Moo Bar Special with strong tea and oat milk - tea flavor was there but it wasn't creamy with the milk addition. Super watery. 9/10 Ube Ice Cream $2 - very creamy and ube flavor mild. Personally I would want more flavor. Staff was very nice, answer all our questions, and made our drinks in about 10minutes. read more
Their Mason Jars are soooooo cute!! They have super cute anime mason jars available. I absolutely love my demon slayer mason jar, but sadly that's about it. The drinks are really not that good. The flavors were off or didn't have any flavors. My sisters ube latte tasted like rose and I got an oreo milk tea which didn't have much taste. By far one of the cutest boba shops in the area! This place is well known for their reusable glass boba cups with so many cute designs on them. One thing to note is that you must purchase a reusable jar with your drink, unless you bring in a cup from a previous purchase. You also have no choice over the design printed on the cup unless you pay an extra fee. They are also typically sold out of many of the popular cup designs. Today I got the passion fruit mango tea. You can control the sweetness and ice level as well as add a variety of toppings. The tea was refreshing and I will definitely come back to try one of their many options. Service is very quick as you order everything on a tablet. The drink is then quickly brought out. Overall, a super cute place with good drinks that has a great marketing strategy, because I already want to go back to get another cup! read more

It was my last day at work so a friend of mine treated me for bubble tea! Unfortunately the place did not meet what we expected. I ordered the brown sugar bubble tea while my friend ordered the horchata coffee bubble tea. I thought it would taste more like tea than water. Nope just a hint of tea with an overhose of water. You could say its the ice, but initial first sips were already watery. The tapioca pearls were stale/sticky chewy. The horchata coffee was like watered down cinnamon. Super sugary as well. Overall, i will not come back. Seemed cute but not interested no more. My friend is willing to try their ice cream though but will not come by for bubble tea. read more

Visiting from California and I was intrigued by their raindrop cake! I tried two flavors, the strawberry and matcha. Pricing was $5/ea. & both came with a side of peanut toppings, so definitely be aware if you have an allergy! The texture of the 'cake' is more so like jello. It has a hint of sweetness alone. I personally liked the strawberry more, it's really just a preserved jam. The matcha was a little too chalky for me, but if you're into that maybe it's for you hahaha! I'd say that this place is definitely a hype, but it was a cool experience overall! The interior of this little boba shop is super cute! Lots of aesthetic decor and instagram worthy! Lmao. Seating is definitely limited due to how small this building is. However, they do offer a variety of drinks! read more
Cute little shop in the middle of downtown Seattle! I didn't end up getting the boba because of the other Yelp reviews. The cups that they came in were super cute! I wish I ended up getting a tea because their flavors looked yummy and when other people got them they looked refreshing! Maybe I'll give them another shot and get the drinks! I ended up getting a waffle cone with ice cream. The waffle was okay it was a little overcooked. I liked that they had a variety of flavors for the waffles! The ube ice cream was good, very flavorful. The mochi on it is a must! I got the matcha cream over it... I would not recommend I did not like it, I'd probably go with condense milk instead! Overall this place is a cute little spot with all its jars and bottles for the drinks, I need to try one of their drinks to give my final thoughts! But as for the waffle it was okay maybe if it wasn't a little over cooked it would have been better! read more
The place is really cute inside. They have lots of places for you to take pictures inside with your drinks. I loved how I didn't need to change the sweetness level on the drinks I've order so far. Normally I would have gotten my boba drinks with half sugar and with light ice but at Moo Bar I was able to enjoy it the way it is. No customization needed. I was mind blown! If you have dairy allergy or lactose issues, they have other milks that you can substitute in your drink! They also have a case of unique asian ice cream flavor that cost $2 per cup. My eyes widen when I saw sesame ice cream! So far these are the things I've tried from Moo Bar: - Moo Bar Special (Black milk tea) with lactose free milk was really tasty! - Thaiphoon (Thai milk tea) with coconut milk was really tasty! - Raindrop cake is delicious! I love how it's such a light dessert. - Original egg waffle was very soggy. I probably wouldn't order again. - Sesame ice cream was so yummy! Their boba texture isn't my favorite. I think it's a bit hard in my opinion. Besides drinks and desserts, they also have cute glass cups that you purchase for you to use in future drinks. They also have a website for you to order ahead of time but I find that its not needed because they make your stuff pretty fast. First time visiting the Moo Bar here in Seattle! Being from California, I can appreciate a good boba place. However, this place was pretty disappointing. Frankly the cute bottle designs were what motivated me to visit. You don't get to choose the bottle design though. Also, you have to pay extra for the glass jar. It's a bit pricey compared to other boba places. The service was terrible as the 2 servers were busy chatting in the back room. One came to the register annoyed that I was there to order a drink and interrupted their conversation. The drink itself was okay. It wasn't bad at all. I deducted 3 stars because of the terrible service. read more
I didn't bother getting one of their bottles so this review will solely be for their drinks. I honestly really enjoyed the drink. It seems that they only charge an extra $1.50 for the special bottle now as opposed to the $8 that other reviews mentioned. The design is still random. While waiting I noticed that most customers decided to get the bottle. I got the brown sugar milk tea ($5) with pearls ($0.50) in a cup. I waited around 10 minutes to get my drink even though the shop wasn't super busy. The drink was quite sweet, but I did not change the sweetness level so that was expected. The tea flavor was decently strong and the pearls were super chewy! I like that their menu has lactose free milk and oat milk. The drinks aren't cheap (tea without milk or toppings is $4) but the prices are similar to other options in the area. Not the most grab-and-go friendly spot since the drinks take a while to make. They have online ordering through their website, so I recommend ordering ahead of time so you do not have to wait. read more

Cute little boba shop where the drinks come in glass cups with various illustrations like Totoro or Anime characters, or their signature Corgi dressed in cute costumes. We came for the Toasted (house made) marshmallow hot cocoa and it did not disappoint! Really appreciate that they use organic milk here. The boba drink was your standard fare. I paid the $10 for the glass cup on top of the $6 boba drink so it's pretty pricey for what looks to be a Sublimation print on the cup. Unfortunately most of the designs were sold out so I picked out something that would be appreciated by the teen in the household. Definitely worth going back for the cocoa! read more

This boba spot is known for their cups with the cute designs and the bubble waffle desserts. It's very Instagram-worthy. They have limited edition designs with the cups that changes by season and I absolutely adore the art! That's the only reason why I'm giving them 3 stars. The drinks itself are too watered down and inconsistent. Sometimes the drinks are filled all the way to the top. The drinks are filled with too much ice. I normally have to adjust my sugar level down but even at 100% sugar, the drinks lack any taste and flavor. I'm not a fan of the boba either. The drinks are also overpriced, although it's justified because of the reusable cups we are getting. It averages around $7-8 per drink. There isn't much space in the shop. Their homemade Moo milk/cream is non-dairy, vegan friendly, and lactose and gluten free.

Yes, their seasonal herbal teas are delicious! My fav is rose lychee, yummmm
