There was a small line formed inside and it didn't seem like it was going fast. I ordered the matcha horchata, my husband ordered the vietnamese coffee, and my brothers ordered the thai tea horchata and the hong kong milk tea. The matcha horchata was good but it was very light and refreshing. The flavor wasn't too strong or overpowering. The vietnamese coffee was alright. It also wasn't too strong, we have had better. The thai tea horchata was a bit too sweet for me but my brother liked it. And the hong kong milk tea was my least favorite. It was also very light and plain. It didn't have a strong tea flavor. Their drinks come in cute reusable mason jars for an extra costs as well. It definitely is a bit pricey for the drinks and quality of the drinks. The shops aesthetics were cute. I thought that Moo Bar was really great, despite some of the negative reviews they've been receiving! The fact that they give out a free bottle with a drink is a nice perk, especially since their bottle designs are always so cute. My one qualm with the bottle is that the hole on the lid top is too small for a regular boba straw.. so what's the point? It just makes it hard to carry around since it can still spill. But anyways, onto the actual food: I ordered the Thai Me a River, a mix of their horchata and Thai tea. As someone with a huge sweet tooth, this drink was great - it honestly felt like a cinnamon-y Thai tea, since the taste of the Thai tea was kind of overwhelming the horchata. However, still really good! The bubbles were fine, nothing special. My friend and I also shared the Raindrop Cake, which was a pretty big fad on Instagram a couple years ago. It's a "zero-calorie" dessert made of agar. We decided to get the brown sugar, which is just sprinkled on. The cake itself comes with a sugary syrup, which also really satisfied my sweet tooth :) Nice dessert and cute for photos as well! I don't get the super low ratings of this place; the drinks are not bad at all. However, I do agree with the sentiment that the drinks are overpriced. I tried the Moo Bar Special with boba and felt that the tea is fragrant but not the best; make sure to get less sugar as the tea and the boba are super sweet. Boba itself is quite chewy but a little bit on the softer side. When I see the menu, I see prices for regular and bottle, but bottle is a random design. If you want to get those beautiful cups pictured here with a design of your choosing, you need to pay $8 extra. Additionally, the drink can cost upwards of $6-7 itself so top that off with the custom jar and you could've just gotten a fast casual meal plus boba for the same price! The only slight benefit is you can bring back the cup for 15% off, but honestly, for me, the appeal to this place is that it's really close to where I live but if I want better drinks and boba at a lower cost, I can go to a place that's not that much further walking/bus-wise. read more

I came here on a Friday afternoon, and there was no line. It's nice to that they have alternative milk selections, oat milk and coconut milk. I ordered a Matcha latte with no sugar, no ice, with honey Boba. I was really glad to see that they had different tea strengths preferences! I came here two years ago and the plastic cups were extremely small, so I was glad to see even though the high prices remain the same, the portion sizes increased and they are more sustainable. The best part about this place is their cups. We were visiting Seattle and saw the cute designs so we had to stop in. We were sightseeing so we placed an online order and headed that way to pick it up based on the time frame on our order. Upon arriving, our drinks had not been made so we waited behind a group of people near the counter b/c there was nowhere else to stand. After about 15 minutes of not hearing my name called for my order and others that had ordered after we'd arrived received their drinks, I asked the employee if my order was ready (3 drinks and 2 raindrop cakes). She rudely replied and asked my name and then stormed to the back. Our order was brought out a few minutes later (after approximately 50 minutes had passed from order time to receipt) and the employee just sat the order on the counter and returned to the back. My daughters and I gathered everything and realized she didn't provide straws for us for the drinks nor a bag or anything for the rainbow cakes just a stack of plastic containers with 2 spoons on top. I waited until another employee came from the back to ask for straws. We ate the rainbow cakes at one of their outdoor tables while standing because there wasn't seating available and took the drinks as we walked. Before we were back to our hotel the lettering and part of the corgi on one of the the cups had already rubbed off. Bottom Line. Spend your money elsewhere. An acknowledgment of the time it took and/or an apology would have gone a long way and probably would have resulted in a 5 star review because it would have shown they cared about their customer service. With all the options nowadays, customer service is everything and unfortunately the service at The Moo Bar in Seattle is not worth the cuteness, novelty, and subpar printing of the cups. read more

Should've paid attention to previous reviews on this place... and maybe I just ordered wrong but it definitely wasn't my favorite bubble tea. I like fruity teas, but when getting a milk tea I expect it to be creamier. The matcha horchata was just alright. The flavors paired well together but I didn't love the indiciel components. The matcha flavor was there but it wasn't that creamy, and the horchata wasn't great. My friend said the ube flavor was light, and again not that milky/creamy. I swap out the tea for sparkling water instead. As long as you mix it really well, the drink is pretty enjoyable. Both drinks after tax was around $20, which is a bit steep for bubble tea, but you're mostly paying for the cup rather than the drink. You order on the kiosk and an employee makes the drinks in the back. The employees were pretty friendly, which makes me want to support them even more! There's only street parking so depending on the time of day you go, it might be difficult to find parking. There is a parking lot across the street from Shake Shack, but it's a lot pricer than street parking. The bottles are hand wash only! If you bring them back, you get 15% off your next order! stumbled upon this place (aka found it on Yelp) after a day at the Seattle Center exploring the Space Needle, MoPop and Science Center. Started walking back to my hotel and decided I wanted some milk tea so headed here. My dinner reservation wasn't until 8 so got a regular egg waffle too! $10.75 later I waited for my drink + snack. I kinda love the signs that say no ticket no drink. Lol, maybe that's just me? The lady in front of me ordered an egg waffle with ice cream and toppings. It was such a pretty presentation and totally Instagramable. My plain egg waffles were given to me in a paper bag lol. The staff there don't seem like they have any real role so they're moving around trying to do different things at once. Other than those couple of issues, this first review of my first time there is mainly on the drink I ordered, which was the passionfruit guava ice tea. I love passionfruit and know what I like and don't like. This was really good, and I was surprised, maybe because I hadn't set my expectations TOO high. It was sweet and tasted fresh, with a little bit of pulp at the bottom. It wasn't watered down, so the passionfruit flavor was there. I did get the jar with Totoro on it, which is really cute, and we can reuse at our place for other drinks as well. The price was a little steep, so I don't think I will get around here that often, but my first drink here, I really enjoyed. This place is all bark with no bite. Their bubble tea is downright disgusting. We actually stumbled across this place by accident while strolling thru downtown Seattle. The glass bottles are super cute and designed with well known anime or kawaii characters that I am sure you have seen at least once in your life. I honestly think that's how they make their money by marketing their bottles to draw you in. First of all, the glass mason jars are not free, there's an additional charge of $8 per cup (NOT INCLUDING THE COST OF YOUR SELECTED BOBA DRINK.) There's another skinnier glass bottle with characters on it that's selected at random but I'm not entirely sure if its included with your actual drink. Secondly, I can tell they half assed on their decor. It looked like they were trying to set up floral wall panels for instagram worthy shots of their mediocre Boba for free marketing but it wasn't all that cute. I ended up ordering the Thai green tea and my cousin ordered the mango peach strawberry fruit tea. Both of our drinks were bland AF and they freaking tasted like flavored water. My zero water has more flavor than this Boba joint. Literally such a waste of money to even "try" this place out. I can't attest to the desserts, while they may look good but if your "bar" is to focus on drinks and you can't even make that right then I'm a bit hesitant to try anything else out from this place. I've been meaning to go here for quite a while now. I love their logo- the cow is super cute. Moo Bar is most famous though for its decorative glass mason jars; their latest two series have featured corgis. My friend and I both love corgis and bubble tea, so we absolutely had to make the trip over to Moo Bar in SLU. In addition to bubble tea, Moo Bar also serves bubble waffles, which I had the chance to taste at the most recent UW Taiwanese Student Association Night Market. I got the Matcha Special, which had a charcoal waffle, matcha ice cream, whipped cream, matcha pocky, matcha drizzle, and a panda shaped chocolate cookie. It was my first time having a bubble waffle, but the waffle was fluffy and crispy. I know that charcoal is a current food fad for its intriguing black color and potential health benefits, but it honestly doesn't taste like much if anything... The ice cream was pre-bought and extremely hard. I had to wait 20 minutes to even be able to stick my spoon in it. I cannot speak for how they serve it in the store, but they have a lot more customizable options in the store than they offered at the night market. As far as the bubble tea, you can adjust for ice (regular, light, no ice) and sweetness levels (0%, 50% or 100%). However, if you ask for no ice, they will leave a gap at the top, so just get light ice. They offer five different toppings (+$0.50): boba, egg pudding, taro pudding, grass jelly, and sea cheese foam (+$0.75). I ordered a Moo Bar Special (which is really just their normal black milk tea) with 50% sugar, light ice and taro pudding. My friend ordered a Hokkaido (toffee) milk tea with boba. The pricing of this place is weird because they add an additional $0.50 charge if you don't order a topping, even though their toppings are worth $0.50 each (minus the sea cheese)... so order a topping too! My order, including the reusable glass, came out to over $6.00. Not super cheap, but it is South Lake Union prices. Surprisingly, service was extremely quick and we got our drinks under 10 minutes. We were also able to get one of the few standing tables available. My friends had already warned me that the bubble tea here wasn't anything to rave about, but I did not like the taste of it. It wasn't overly sweet, but it definitely had a weird and distinct aftertaste. It wasn't acidic, but kind of tasted like nuts and chemicals... I rarely never finish a bubble tea, but I could only drink half of it. The taro pudding was also tasteless. It honestly might have been the worst tasting bubble tea I've ever had. My friend thought hers was extremely sweet and tasted like cane sugar as opposed to caramel. I was also disappointed that you can't choose which mason jar design you get; it's almost like a Happy Meal Toy surprise. They do give out multiple jar designs on the same day, but my friend and I were given the same ones. Oh well. At least it had a corgi on it. We decided to go here because my friend wanted the cute glass bottle. She was disappointed that we all got the same design on the bottle. We were not able to choose either. She ordered two drinks in thinking she would get two different designs, but nope she thought wrong. Its a great concept to use glass bottles but I feel like you get less for what you pay. This was not one of the best place to get Milk tea. I ordered Thai Tea but it did not taste good. it seem like my drink was watered down and no flavor at all. Let's be real. We're all here for the corgi cups. Drinks are a bit pricey at $6-$7, the wait time can be long, and the inside isn't that spacious at all. No seats and you're just standing awkwardly until your drink is ready. But! I got my corgi cup. Do I like it? No. I LOVE it. I bring it to work often, carrying coffee or in this case soybean milk (heh, don't judge). I probably won't come here for the drinks alone, but if I want another corgi cup, I'll come over gladly. BTW: If you're looking for a more permanent straw replacement for your cup, get Camelbak's eddy+ straw replacements! I didn't have my expectations set high after reading the mediocre reviews for this place. And my experience here fell even short of that. My fiance and I have a corgi (Lily girl, Lily pad, Baby Girl Lily, etc) and really wanted one of the corgi glasses. We came here last Saturday at around... 3 pm? Probably the busiest time, there was a line out the door. We waited for probably close to 40-45 minutes? I get it, making those egg bubble waffles to order are time consuming, especially when you only have a couple of machines. Their bubble teas seem to take quite a bit of time to make. We ordered two Hong Kong Milk Tea's, one with regular sugar level and one at 50%. We are also very obsessed with HK egg bubble waffles, so we got an original and a matcha green tea one. The egg waffles took a while, but that was expected. What wasn't expected was how tasteless and bland they were. It was almost like eating cardboard. The green tea one did not have any green tea flavor which was really disappointing. They seem to make a lot of mistakes on orders as well. The girl before us had ordered a salted cream (?l top but didn't get it. When the lady gave us our drinks, only one of them had Hong Kong Milk tea written on the top, although we ordered 2. That was slightly confusing, and from tasting it, it seemed like an original Moo Bubble tea. The boba was also extremely chewy and maybe a little overcooked. Sigh. We love the glasses. I met my friends here at 3:00pm on a Saturday. There was already a line out the door. We finally got to order after 30 minutes of waiting. I ordered the marshmallow milk tea and my husband ordered a bubble waffle. Sadly, we were told the wait for the waffle would be 30 minutes. So he ordered a salted cream Oreo milk tea instead. There was a lot of people crammed into this tiny shop so space was extremely limited. We waited another 10 minutes for our drinks. Taste: The marshmallow milk tea was just okay. Just a regular milk tea with some marshmallow fluff on top then lightly toasted. The disappointing part came from the boba. On the bottom of my glass was a huge clump of boba balls stuck together. I've never had so much boba stuck together like this before. (And I drink a ton of boba drinks!) I had to just toss it. Perks: All drinks come in a cute reusable glass. However, the salted Oreo milk tea would be $1.00 extra for the glass. That was weird so we just got the regular cup for that drink. Also, the boba straw doesn't fit in the hole in their glass so everyone had to take the lid off to drink. Kind of hard to do if you want to take your drink to go and drink as you walk. Let's be real, I think most of us come here for their reusable glass cups. Unfortunately it's based on "random" so you can't choose the cup designs you get but they do post their designs on their Instagram so you can always see ahead of time what the theme is. It was actually interesting to see that they had flavours I'd never tried before (even though there's a fair number of boba shops in Vancouver, Canada). We opted for the Passion Guava and Thai Tea (with coconut milk). The drinks overall were average but on a hot summer day, it did the trick. Of course, the cups were the highlight but not sure why it didn't come with reusable straws as well. Their plastic straws are completely flat (think McDonald's soft drink straws) so it was extremely difficult to get the coconut jelly at the bottom of the cup. read more
