I visited Meetea Cafe for a sweet drink after eating lunch in the area. This is a very small store with only a couple of seats in the back, not really a place to hang out. There are two small screens for ordering on the right side of the store near the entrance, although they weren't that obvious to me and the bobarista had to point them out. Boba Milk Tea, Black Tea, 50% Sweet, 50% Ice ($6) - The milk tea exhibits a very pleasing dark brown, almost orangeish color. On the very first sip, I found a very harsh sweetness coming up the straw, which then transitioned to a kind of caramelized dairy milky taste. There is some tea flavor, perhaps a little on the fruity side, but the predominant flavors are the sweetener and the milk. The drink is not diluted too much by the ice, which at half is enough to cool the drink down without too many ice cubes left over. This drink comes with boba. The boba is on the larger side and barely manage to fit through the straw, causing some drink blockages while sipping. It's fairly hard making the chew and bounce well below average, but it has a slightly sweet exterior that's soft and velvety in texture. One additional thing I noted was that the description stated the drink would be 24 oz, but it actually comes in a 22 oz cup. I'm sure that's an honest mistake. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 3/5 I don't think I would come back for the drinks, but Meetea does serve some food that sounds pretty intriguing. Cheese boba toast? Bathrooms - None in the store itself. Probably shared ones with all the other businesses in The Alley.

Can't tell, but it's milk tea with grass jelly, pudding, boba and taro milk tea

Ordered the milk tea with grass jelly, pudding, and boba and taro milk tea. Enjoyed both but would have liked more flavor to the teas and better boba. Coming from socal where boba is on every corner of every street, this just isn't the same but if there aren't that many options around, this will do. Service was quick and prompt!

The ONLY bubble tea place I have found without powdered tea or creamer base. After developing gestational diabetes, I thought I couldn't have bubble tea because my sugars would spike. Then I started trying 0% and still, some places I still found my sugars were spiking. Then I started asking the bubbletea places if they use any powder. To my surprise, most places use powder. Meetea was the only place that did not spike my sugars- found in their webpage it was lactose free milk and organic tea. I'm now sold on the place as the only bubbletea place with actual quality ingredients

Came here to grab a quick bubble tea! The staff was very nice and answered some of my questions on the drinks. The store was cute and clean. I enjoyed my drink! Parking in cap hill could always be a challenge for me. Appreciated that I could grab a drink on the go while I was walking around the area.

I popped into Meetea Cafe while on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised! While a bit small, the cafe brings a cute and clean ambiance to study or catch up with friends. I ordered a tiramisu coffee for my coworker and I and we both loved it! The coffee was not overly sweet which I was a little worried about, and was topped with a yummy cream top! The barista Joyce was a great help and made sure our drinks would be to our liking!

Fun little tea spot. Good luck finding parking. Got the hot taro milk tea and a meetea family. Both were great!

Great boba find in Capitol Hill! Huge selection of drinks and some very unique ones included. Love that they also had a combo with a drink and boba toast! We ended up going with milk teas--the purple rice was such an interesting flavor and the foam on mine was super smooth! Reasonable prices too!

Edit in response to the owner: First of all, thanks for the comments! It's reassuring to see an owner who truly cares. I also ordered the taro milk tea for a friend and could not adjust the ice levels (only sugar) on the tablet which was my main complaint because I was delivering it. And as for the boba options, I think if you order one of the boba options and select an extra topping for 50 cents, you should get a double serving at least so you're not "wasting" your money. It's definitely good to know that all the names with boba include the topping for the future though. I'll be back and hopefully will be able to change my opinion. -- A solid boba spot but nothing overwhelming. I'm interested in revisiting specifically for the boba toast and another drink. I thoroughly enjoyed the boba, it's quite soft and chewy but could use some more flavor and sweetness. The texture is perfect but there wasn't too much flavor, I think most of the flavor in mine was from the brown sugar drink rather than the boba itself, but I can't quite say for sure. My biggest complaint is that you can't really alter ice levels here, at least not on the ordering tablets. You can adjust sweetness which is perfect, but you can't adjust ice to account for something like travel where you want to deliver to a friend or storage where you want to save a drink for later. Without adjusting, your drink could very well be watered down. I also have a personal complaint with the tablet ordering system because they have drinks that include "boba" in their name, but it's not completely explicit whether or not they come with the boba. I'd believe it, but I wanted to err on the side of caution and just added boba as a topping. The one employee working was making like 6 drinks close to closing hour (within 15 minutes or so) so I didn't wanna bug her with these questions (ice/boba). Attached is an image of the screen which notes "Boba Latte" but you also can add boba as a topping. I added boba to be safe and it's not like I got two servings or anything, just paid the 50 cents and I'm still not sure if it comes with boba. If it's less busy in a future visit, I'd definitely want to clarify. I honestly didn't even get that much boba, I had over half (12oz or so) of milk left when I finished all the boba drinking normally. It's a cafe so there's more than just tea. There are some amazing dessert options too and that is next on the list.b

Not super busy in a Saturday afternoon. After self-ordering on one of two machines inside the store (tiny space), you can wait inside or outside for a text to let you know your order is ready for pick-up. There was only one person making drinks, but the wait wasn't too long. I tried the Taro Dirty Milk with Crema ~$6 - boba was decent, the drink has a strong taro taste and works well with the crema. I ordered it 50% sweet, but I wish it was sweeter so I'd recommend 100% sweet instead. My friend had a fresh mango slushie drink, and she liked it also.

Now here's something I never knew I needed. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I heard Meetea offered cheese boba toast, but it definitely wasn't this. They told me it's "lava cheese" because it flows out like lava, but the only thing I can think to compare it to (at least in consistency) is cheese foam rather than actual cheese. It's light and definitely messy to eat. I lost half of the boba taking this pic *face palm* but maybe it was worth it lol. I got the power lychee drink and my friend tried the purple rice green milk tea. The power lychee was rather plain, so if you're looking for something more unique, I recommend their purple rice drink. Overall highly recommend visiting Meetea. My friend came 3x during our month in Seattle. Their menu is extensive and there are lots of good options.

You really can't go wrong with any of the drinks but my all time favorites are the tieguanyin oolong milk tea with toppings and the strawberry milk tea, which I believe they have now rebranded to strawberry smoothie. Sugar is adjustable which is great because I love my drinks less sweet. I got the strawberry smoothie and bff milk tea this time, which I believe is black milk tea with egg pudding and grass jelly, and I added egg pudding. So delicious and creamy, and the smoothie does not give off an artificial fruit taste. One thing that was off-putting to me was the signage indicating their kiosk. The makeshift, handwritten message to turn around and use the kiosk seems passive aggressive and gives off the message that the workers do not want to talk to you. Other than that, we got our drinks pretty fast since it wasn't busy near closing, which was when I went.
