Banana bread hojicha latte - I loved this one the most. I thought the banana pudding or cream that they used was so delicious. It was not too sweet. I loved how the earthiness and depths of the hojicha blended with the sweetness of the banana flavor. I will say towards the end I think I got more of the settlements of cinnamon and it became more cinnamon forward but other than that, I really love this drink. Banana bread matcha latte - I felt like this drink I got hit with the matcha first and then afterwards I got the banana flavor. I enjoyed this one, but it wasn't anything super blowing away. Strawberry shortcake latte - tastes like Special K strawberry cereal, but poured with Matcha instead of milk. I quite liked it as few sips but think the whole thing may be a bit too sweet for my preference. Also had a slightly graininess/not completely smooth which added to the cereal-ness of it (interesting since I didn't find the banana bread matcha latte grainy at all) Relatively small space with about 4-5 chairs, but super cute decor especially during Christmas. Kind service as well.
It's a small cafe with lots of anime themed cups and decor. There's a small counter to enjoy your drink or food but during the time I went at least, it was too hot with only a fan to try to manage the temp. You order via kiosk and it takes quite a while for the drinks and waffles to be made. The moo bar special with pandan cream - Way too sweet and taste off even though i already got less sweet. You don't really taste the tea either. The pandan didnt really have flavor either. Even the boba was not great, too sweet. I couldn't finish it 0.5/5 Pandan waffle - This is made to order so it takes a bit but this was fine waiting for! It had a very nice crispy outside and fluffy inside. not strong pandan flavor but the coconut sea salt cream was also very yummy. 2.75/5
I've been wanting to try a banana pudding matcha for months now and was dawn in by the signs outside the shop. You order your drink yourself on a kiosk. They had other cool matcha creations like Mango Sticky rice and Crème brûlée, as well as an assortment of boba and coffee drinks . The drink was pretty, but I honestly didn't enjoy drinking it, so I didn't finish it. There was a scoop of banana pudding on top along with a crumbly topping, but otherwise I didn't detect any banana flavor in the actual drink and the matcha seemed watered down. I think their thing is the collectible jars, but I am a dish minimalist and I think I would've preferred an option to just get my drink in a recyclable/compostable cup versus being stuck with a cartoon jar. Overall, I wouldn't return here.
Still enjoy this spot! I do still wish they had an option for non-glass jars. Something disposable I could choose when I'm not out and about. The drinks are always good though perhaps sweeter than we indicated and it was very festive inside with a giant holiday tree and decor. Server was efficient at making drinks. The winter designs are cute!
I had this place bookmarked, and since I was in town, I had to try it just because they served their drinks in mason jars with cool designs. I got a boba milk tea for me and a strawberry lemonade for the kids. I wished the strawberry lemonade also came in a mason jar because we added boba and you can't fit a boba straw in the strawberry cup, so we either had to take the lid off to use the boba straw, which is a bad idea for with a 5 and 7 year old who were drinking this while walking. We settled on them just eating the boba after they finished the drink. The boba milk tea is ok. Nothing to write home about, but the novelty of the mason jars is still cool. That alone, makes it worth at least that first visit.
i love moo bar! it's always so exciting to hope for the cup that you want and then see which one you end up getting like a blind box. I got the Matcha latte and it was on the not-too-creamy side, which makes sense because they use real milk. delicious! Service is decently fast and the cafe itself is extremely cute to take pictures in if not a little bit warm during the summer. so many adorable photoshoots have come out of this location already and I'm looking forward to going back for more!
Small cozy cafe that serves unique boba drinks in cute reusable anime themed mason jars! The main reason to come here are the mason jars. You get a random one automatically with a drink and the designs are always super cute. Some of them are from animes and some of them are unique designs, and they're constantly changing with the season so there's always something different. The drinks themselves are ok but nothing too special. Every time I come there's a new item on the menu and everything I've gotten is very picturesque. I like that they're not too sweet but the actual flavor is pretty standard. If you're looking for a place to get nice instagram pics, definitely recommend trying this place out. If you want good milk tea, then maybe go somewhere else.
So good! And such a treat! The options are great and what's best is the raindrop cake. Ugh soooo good! And this is a one of a kind, no other place in Seattle offers it. Their jars are toooo cute and reusable. The decor is small, simple and fun. The service is quick. The only downside is the parking. There is very limited street parking as this location is on a very busy street and weird intersection.
An amazing place to get all types of desserts and drinks. Everything that I ordered was perfect, not too sweet and lots of flavor. The place was so good that I didn't really have a favorite, the drinks are so pretty looking especially their new Labubu drink. Their Dubai series was unique and very good too. Overall, super friendly service, I highly recommend and would come back.
I just came for their raindrop cake and dubai strawberries. I liked the cake, it comes with a brown sugar type syrup and some brown powder I didn't use. It was nice and refreshing. The chocolate was overpowering in the strawberry skewers. I didn't order a drink, will update once I have. Also the staff is nice. The use a kiosk ordering system which I love. The seating is not very comfortable but it is a small space so that's a given.
Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #75 There's a surprising lack of boba spots in SLU, with The Moo Bar being one of currently three places. I've been to plenty of Happy Lemon locations, and I'm on a self-imposed Heytea boycott, so The Moo Bar was the only choice the last time I was in the area. As most other reviews mention, this place is apparently famous for the jars they serve their drinks in. I didn't know this going in, but it's certainly an interesting gimmick. I expected to have to pay extra for the jar, but a preselected one is actually included in the drink price. It does cost an extra $5 to choose a different design. They have a kiosk in front for easy ordering. I don't really care about service, but I do have to mention that there was only one employee in the store and I had to yell to get his attention to ask a question. Four Season Black Tea, 50% Sugar, Light Ice, Today's Bottle, House Milk w/ Honey Boba ($7.25) - Interestingly a lot of lower ratings complain about the drinks being too watery with no flavor. Maybe they are typically worse, but I found my drink to be quite pleasant, with a somewhat malty tea flavor mixed well with house milk (a non-dairy creamer) that doesn't overwhelm. The sweetness at half is nice. I don't know why they call this a Four Season tea though - that's a type of oolong with a very distinctive fragrance and this drink doesn't exhibit that flavor at all. The boba is surprisingly good. The pearls are a bit on the larger side and more craggly in surface texture vs. smooth, but they are pretty good in both chew and bounce, albeit just slightly on the firmer side. They have a brown sugar kind of taste on the exterior, puzzling given that they call it a honey boba. I guess they just mislabel stuff here or use only a small amount of honey in the soak? Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 Hong Kong Milk Tea, Today's Bottle w/ Honey Boba ($7.50) - There are no ice/sugar adjustments for this drink allowed. This drink is definitely much weaker than the other drink. There's far too much condensed milk added, making the drink extremely milky to the detriment of the tea. There's still a bit of the astringent kick coming towards the aftertaste, but it's nothing like a properly made HK-style milk tea. I wouldn't get this drink again. Milk Tea Rating: 2/5 Given all the negative reviews for this place, I have to wonder if I maybe just visited during one of their very few good days... I guess I will have to revisit and report back. Note: The Moo Bar's payment processor charges a large service fee (something around 6%). When I saw my receipt I was almost going to drop my rating to 1 star, but I guess this isn't really their fault. I do find it very suspicious that it isn't broken up and instead is lumped into "taxes and other." That should be illegal.
I really wanted to like this place because it was so cute inside and used reusable cups. Sadly the ube drink with coconut milk we ordered was one of the worst bobas I have ever had in my life, I couldn't finish it -3/10. No flavor at all, it litrally tasted like water flavored milk. The rain drop cake was yummy and service was fine. We can at 7 and all the seating had been put away. You order thru the kiosk so can't rly review the service but the drink/dessert came out fast.
Cute place with lots of cute cups. Unfortunately, the cups we liked the most were all sold out. To choose our own cups instead of having their chosen ones for that day, it was an extra $5. But my bf really wanted the ninja corgi cups, so we paid an additional $10 total for our two drinks. He got the Oreo milkshake and I got the Lychee Dragonfruit Tea and added strawberry bits and tapioca. Both drinks were tasty and the texture of the tapioca was good. Service was friendly. Would want to go back to try more.
Came here with a friend since we were in the area. There's a lot of boba places in Seattle so I didn't really come with any expectations. The inside seemed nice with plenty of decoration although most of it was just the merchandise they were selling. Also there were some Christmas stuff still lol. I ended up getting an Oreo Tiramisu boba tea drink. I don't see that very often so I decided to go for it. The presentation of the drink was well done, with a cookie sticking out the top. You also get a random cup (unless you pay extra for a choice) where it's a cute cartoon corgi something. The drink itself balanced the sweetness and tea well. There isn't much service as ordering is done primarily through a kiosk, so not many thoughts on that part of the experience. Not bad overall. read more

I was 100% drawn in because of their corgi themed cups. It's the cutest thing ever and I'm absolutely obsessed with it! I got the crème brûlée milk tea which was honestly okay. They do have plenty of other options! My siblings did like the drinks they got. I'm just not from the area so I won't be able to give their other drinks a try. read more

We were recommended this spot cause of their iconic mason jars. The drinks themselves were mediocre but the mugs made it worth it. We got a jasmine milk tea drink which was very light in flavor and a mango puree drink which was pretty good but a tad bit too sweet. Overall I see myself going to spot more for the mugs and less so for the drinks. read more

The cutest boba shop ever -- this is my second time coming here since 2019. I love their themed glass jars, and their boba is good! They are very much on the sweeter side for sure. Their corgi merchandise and branding are so cute and wholesome. :") It's a small shop and they have a lot of options for you to choose from amongst their specialty drinks and merchandise right next to the order kiosk. I would recommend coming here at least once whenever you are in the Seattle area, especially if you enjoy cute dogs and milk tea -- this is your spot! read more

Moo bar's specialty is their jars. Look out for their instagram and see their monthly bottle designs! With its prime location in the heart of SLU, it offers a fun collectable experience on top of boba. I appreciate they experiment with menu offerings regularly although i haven't found a flavor specialty here yet like xin fu tang with brown sugar boba or happy lemon with crema etc. the shop is also always very humid inside so in case you are planning on drinking inside (they also have limited seating), be prepared for some steam. read more

Omg I think I found my new favorite boba shop! Not sure what's up with the low reviews but my experience here was pretty great! The staff were all super friendly and helpful! I had my senior pup in the stroller so I called ahead to make sure I could order inside with him and they let me bring him in. It's a small little spot mainly for takeout. There is some seating by the window. Lots of cute cups, the designs are always changing but right now they have Sailor Moon themed cups and I'm obsessed! The designs are so cute!! The guy at the front recommended the brown sugar milk tea so I went with that one and it was delicious! Especially on a hot sunny Seattle afternoon very refreshing! Milk tea wasn't too sweet and boba was nice and chewy. The other staff member knew I was walking and he offered me a little bag to carry my cup which was super helpful! I'll definitely be back again! read more
Regretting not getting their bubble tea! I stopped by this place on a sunny evening with couple of friends. Me and my one friend got mango and sesame ice creams and other friend got Moo Bar Special (Black milk tea) with lactose free milk. It was really tasty. Even the ice cream flavors were very subtle and cost only $2 per cup. Service is quick. Being lactose intolerant, I usually avoid boba tea. I wasn't aware that they have other milk alternatives that you can substitute in your drink! The place is obsessed with everything corgi. The boba comes in corgi cups which are reusable and can take it home. It's a fun place! read more
Located on the main road is this cute little boba spot! This place is known for their glass jars w/ very cute characters on them! If you love Pokémon, Corgi's, Shiba's, Dragon Ball Z, and more, this is definitely a spot you want to check out! They have a wide variety of drink selections and honestly, they all look so good! Some of the drink combinations are also some things I haven't seen before! So it's nice to try something new here if you're up for it! I ordered the Thai Tea Horchata w/ house milk and I added Oreo toppings to it & my partner got the Passion Mango Tea! You can control the sweetness level and ice level on some drinks which is nice to further customize your drink. The Thai Tea Horchata was really good and not overly sweet! It was definitely something new I haven't seen before so I felt adventurous to try it! I recommend this drink! It is a little more on the heavier side, but it wasn't too bad and I finished it all. The Passion Mango Tea was with less ice and regular sweetness and it was still a very refreshing drink and it still wasn't too sweet! I also recommend this drink if you want something lighter and refreshing. Other than that, the establishment itself is pretty small. Once you walk in, there is a big kiosk touch screen where you order and pay. There is only one kiosk, so if it is busy, it might take awhile until you can order. The drinks didn't take too long & it was sort of busy when we went...we probably waited 10-15 minutes after we ordered. On the counters, they have stickers laid out that is also for sale and to the left of the kiosk is one of many shelves that showcase their bottle products w/ the designs! They even have some of them for sale if you pay in cash! (It is only on select designs) ALSO, they do sell some cute rugs as well and some shirts! So if you're interested in purchasing those, you can do so! They have some seating against the window and 3 seats along the wall, so most people just take it out and drink nearby. You'll be lucky to get a seat if it isn't busy inside. The great thing is that you can also wait outside if you don't want to be cramped inside, since they'll text you when your order is ready to be picked up. Overall it was great, the staff is busy and focused on getting the orders out! So there is not much person to person interaction with them. I knocked it down one star for having only one kiosk to order on because some parties can take awhile if they don't know what they want and they display some glass jars that are sold out which is kind of sad because I'd rather just see what they have available. Also, they should put what glass jars they are giving out for the day because we were expecting corgi glass jars but got Dragon Ball Z instead, which I'm not complaining about because I love that show too! But we mainly came here because of the corgi designs! Definitely check it out read more

First time visiting, and the place was really cute--small, but with outdoor seating available. Ordering was simple through a kiosk (they even have pictures, which really helps). Drinks came out pretty quickly. I didn't order food this time, but it smelled amazing inside. Overall, the place was charming, and the service was nice and fast. I'd definitely go back. read more
Okay first of all, if you come here just for the corgi cups, you are doing it right. Soooo many cute options and I believe you pay extra if you pick. My daughter is a corgi lover and we come for new cups frequently. They now come with plugs for the straw hike and we use them for storage of all kinds of things. On to the drinks. It's a small place so the line can often go out the door. These are good teas, not my favorite in Seattle but a good option. Always add salted cream on top! The mango matcha is one of my favs. read more
Great place! Just had raindrop cake tho. The syrup is pretty authentic. The raindrop cake itself is semi-authentic. It's decent. Bit pricey. The service is great - you can order either at the counter or electronic board, and once you order it, the order comes pretty quick. The ambience is nice too - they decorate well and play music (not too loud unlike other loud places!) but there are only 2 seats, so it's probably better to plan to grab and go. hard to find a parking spot in the area. It's probably best to park the Whole Foods parking, if you drive! read more

The moo bar is a super cute boba spot with anime themed mason jars. The boba was pretty good and they had a good selection of choices but the mason jars were the best part. They're great to collect and it's always a fun time tracking which anime they're featuring at the time. The cups last a really long time and are great for re use after finishing the boba. Refreshing and visually fun. - plain waffle $4.50. Flavor is good, not crispy, so fair pricing for quality and value. Ambiance- cutsie, but when you look at the details, place appears run down. I really enjoyed this boba shop in SLU! I got the matcha oreo and my friend got the lychee dream. I wish the matcha had a bit more matcha flavor. The lychee drink was tart and tasted so yummy! The drinks are a bit pricier but you get a cute glass jar and the drinks are pretty big. I'd pass on the raindrop cake. Their menu is huge. They don't have a lot of seating inside but it's really cute inside. I'd come here again to try more of their drinks! read more

I love this cute little shop. I absolutely adore their cups and products. If you're unable to stop by the shop you can purchase online their products of the season. Their drinks were delicious and it was my first time ever having the raindrop cake. Was different but tasty. It was almost like jello with strawberries. Now the waffle dessert was delicious, loved the Oreo cookie topping. The staff is very helpful and fast, it's a pretty little neat shop. read more
I don't know if it's a hot take to give this place 5 stars (maybe it is, judging from other reviews), but I love it! I'm also the kind of person that doesn't mad paying a little extra for the aesthetic, so if that's not you, then maybe this won't be your go-to SLU boba spot. I usually get a fruit tea with lychee jelly, and I love how sweet and refreshing my drink always is. They also have some snacks and desserts on their menu as well, but I've never tried them. Their shtick is that their drinks come in reusable glass jars with a cute and fun design, and that's why their drinks cost more than your average boba spot. It's still totally worth it in my opinion, since you get to keep your cup and every time you reuse it, that makes it cheaper right? Girl math ;) I only wish they'd let you pick the designs, but I still think it's fun to collect. My college town also had a boba shop with reusable glass cups, but the drinks didn't even taste good, so this seems like a win-win for everyone (except maybe your wallet). read more

Stumbled upon this cute hole in the wall bubble tea shop Sunday morning and decided to get the Ube Viet Coffee and Strawberry Matcha Latte. The barista making the drink was quite friendly and the beverages actually came out very quickly. However, I was slightly disappointed in their flavor. My girlfriend thought that the Ube didn't add much to the coffee and actually tasted more like taro. I thought that the Strawberry matcha latte, although milky and had good consistency, was a little sour when the strawberry puree was mixed in. It felt like the strawberry didn't really enhance the matcha but ended up diluting its flavor. read more
