Because of the sense of trustworthiness from Gottschalk's, I not only took one guitar for repair, but all five of my vintage and new acoustic guitars! Dan did an amazing job in a short time assessing needs and adjusting the necks/action, fixing cracked headstock, replacing broken tuning keys, restringing, and replacing a broken pick-up jack with a new part. Dan was also genuine about what damage would cost more than the value of the guitar and what repairs were worthwhile, and his fee was reasonable and affordable. Brought my amp with brand new tubes for braiding. a week later I got a call saying he dropped and…read morebroke my brand new tubes Wich will take another week. Said he would replace them with new ones. Took a look at the "new" tubes they replaced and the "Apex" stickers are falling off....never seen "new" tubes do that before. Where are my "broken" tubes and the receipt for the "new" tubes? Could it be the amp tech took off with my new tubes and put in used tubes? My "hi-gain" amp sounded like blues combo amp after the bias. Very dissatisfied. All my volume nobs were exactly the same as I left them which suggest he didn't even test out the amp.
