This place is a hell no from me. I went to get a simple manicure, no polish, nothing. Just a bare manicure to give my toes a break, and it costed me $70. Didn't get a scrub or anything, just a basic manicure with a callus remover, cut down my nails, and keep it plain. That's absolutely a rip off when there are places you can go to get a French tip the same price, with a scrub, and so much more. I should've known she was going to rip me off because when she had initially started the manicure, she was already asking me for a payment. I heard her say $17 which makes more sense for what I got but at the end, they requested $70. I will never be coming back here again. If it's $70 for a barefoot, actually adding color would be diabolical. There are absolutely other places that are priced reasonably. This was sick. read more

While I've had great results with my nails, this place has significantly increased their prices and can be very inconsistent depending on the manicurist. I've often been charged completely different amounts for the same service, sometimes much higher than I would pay in other areas of Los Angeles. For example, I could be getting a fill and, depending on who is working or how they're feeling that day, end up being severely upcharged. I came back here to get a fill on my gel x extensions. I waited about 2 weeks to get a fill. It was my first time getting a fill for gel x but once the nail tech shaved off the top layer of my nail she started to apply acrylic over top of my nail. I'm not sure if you're suppose to use acrylic over top of gel x extensions but nonetheless, the nails still came out looking great! I also think it's important to communicate with the nail techs to ensure that you're getting what you want especially if it's a design. read more

I needed to get my nails done for a last minute event, so I went here. They are definitely friendly at the shop, but whoever did my nails was rushing through to get it done. And mind you I was the only one there. Before I got to the shop I had gel x nails and I wanted to get dip for my new set. I will never return after today. I came on my lunch break and was sat quickly which was great. I was asked if I wanted callus removal which I agreed. After looking at the yelp page the owner lister on 1/24 that a deluxe pedicure with callus removal and scrub is $45. I went in with gel and wanted gel so I figured $10 for removal and $10 for gel. So $65 mid service she mentioned it would be $98 dollars I said EXCUSE ME!! After that she said ok $78 all of a sudden it's $20 less!!! My french tip didn't look good and when I went to pay the woman said oh don't forget to leave me a tip wow!! The entire trip has left me completely disgusted. DO NOT STEP FOOT IN HERE!! Anyone who has been experienced this must-try nail spot and left bad reviews should be more honest on the reviews and stop asking more high quality services for low price bargain offer. The workers work really hard ,they spend time to work on your nails ,patiently, treat customers like the queens and the kings and of course they always want to do the best they can to make you happy at the outcome as same as how you want your nail looks . So please do not put your personal emotional about small mistake overall then judge their skill or whatsoever.. just imaging that's your mom, your sister, even yourself who is being yelled by someone, how do you feel?! Please try to put yourself in their shoes so you can understand! If you don't like the work, ok just simply tell the worker and they will find the way to satisfy you so everything could be resolved in happy way. Not that hard to be a good person, unless you want to be a bad one :) Also, tip is much appreciated as that's an extra earning for them in case somedays they dont make much money ( cuz their salary is based on customer,not stable paid by hourly or monthly like office job )and its like a special reward which makes them could be more happy for a whole day. I came to this place last minute to get my eyebrows waxed and my gel-x removed. The prices I saw on the menu in photos here were $12 for eyebrows, $10 for full set removal without service, and $15 for basic manicure. All seemed super reasonable and comparable to other salons. When I went to pay, I ended up paying $60 for this service which is insane because they didn't do all that much. My eyebrows ended up being $20 which is just as much as a luxury brow place around the corner. My nails weren't cut or shaped, I didn't get a polish and somehow that ended up being $40. I was thankful they took me in right away, but it was at the expense of another customer who had been waiting before me. The eyebrow room was really dirty and I had leftover wax on my face. The entire shop was honestly pretty dirty itself, but I figured because of the prices it was fine, but the prices ended up being just as much as a more luxury nail salon I usually go to. Kathy was really nice and took care of me, but it wasn't 5 star quality service. After she removed my gel-x, the other customer I mentioned got up and left since she left her hanging to tend to me. I felt bad, so said we can do a manicure, I didn't intend to get, to help make up for that lost business(even though it wasn't my fault) Overall, this place isn't worth it and after reading the other reviews definitely felt scammed on my price, but didn't have the energy to argue! I came in with dip powder on my nails. My natural nails were long and i wanted them removed safely and more natural length for my next set. They broke my thumb nail, she ripped it off and tried to hide the piece of my broken natural nail... She said "it was already broken" after i pulled it out of her hand. IT WASN'T, my nail was on there!!! I came into the salon to specifically NOT break my natural nails, I came in and pay money for them to remove them safely so I can keep my natural LONG nail; not to mention she cut all my other ones to make it same size - can you guess they're supposed to be almond shape.... This was my third time coming here, I wanted to find a good spot in Dtla and I thought It could be them no matter how inconvenient my walk there was, no matter that I had to charge a fee to my card to get cash out for them bc it's "cash only" and they are always trying to influence what you're in there to Get. I always want dip, the ONLY reason I walk 15 min to their location and pay stupid cash is bc they are the only Ones that still do dip - yet EVERY single time I come in they want me to get GEL INSTEAD. Not to mention, they ALWAYS want to cut my nail short. (If you want length in future sets you have to pay extra for tips) I also asked if she could put a tip to add length on my thumb since she tore it off and unbalanced the length of all my nails and she was trying to charge me..... Terrible, tried to trust the reviews. The lady doing my nails cut every single cuticle bed. I was flinching and she just kept laughing it off. The gel polish is on my skin and wasn't not cleaned up. I asked for a square shape and she kept making it crooked, that I asked to just shape them myself. I tried really hard to trust the process and sit through it. I wish I had complained in person but I was just trying to leave. All of my cuticles currently feel raw and hurt. I asked for a regular gel manicure and it ended with her rubbing cuticle oil all over my hands and sending me out. I don't think they were doing anything bad on purpose I just don't think they pay enough attention detail and they are way too rough. read more

One of the worst manicure and pedicures I've ever gotten. Ever. Pedicurist cut me in two different areas. Manicurist left cracks and hairs/dust all over my nails. They should have given us our nails for free or for discount for cutting me and messing up my nails. Then, my little cousin who is 13, they up sold her on callus removal... a 13 year old doesn't need callus removal. Then they kept trying to upsell her until I intervened. They took advantage and I do not like that - it's not right. Aside from the poor job and poor service, there were flies all over the salon, buzzing around me and the nail techs. It was dirty. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I am so surprised how bad a job it was because of all the good reviews and photos I saw online. I am literally speechless. This is the most terrible nail shop that I have ever been to in my 27 years of existence. not only were they extremely rude and racist, but they also did my pedicure and my nails terribly to where they look like they were two weeks old on the first day. They immediately started lifting not even a day after the nails were just terrible. The people that work here are extremely rude, inconsiderate, and are very mean nasty ugly people. Very disappointed!!!! This person "Lamí Bui" took complete advantage of my 15 year old daughter. She took advantage of my daughter's naïvety and overcharged her for a Mani, full set (short), and design (total $160). If it was Picasso design I understand. This is ridiculous. Of course my daughter doesn't know anything better and she kept up charging her with add-ons. This would be okay to do to an adult, but up-charging and up-selling a 15 year old girl for a $160 manicure is just plain wrong. To be honest it isn't even worth the $160 she charged me. My daughter asked me to zelle the person, and when I called and asked her to explain what she was charging me for, she kept repeating "I asked your daughter she said yes"... like really!!! How convenient to take advantage of 15 year old girl. I personally go get my full set somewhere else with Salwarovski crystals and a long full set acrylic for $120 . Never ever I paid $160. And to top it off, on top of taking advantage of a 15 year old girl, the quality of the work was average at best. The cuticles weren't completely taken care of, among other things. Take a moment to read the other reviews and you will see that customers feeling like they've been overcharged is a common theme at this place. Take your business somewhere else! Before making an appointment I asked for the cost of gel x & was told $65...ended up costing $85 because they charge $10 for cuticles and $10 to remove current gel x. Couple of gel x nails are slimmer than my natural nails and I asked to have them fixed which resulted in cutting my finger by accident and a few nails looking thicker than others. The lady I spoke with was barely opening her mouth when talking, she didn't take my name, she was really not concise with her answers, and by the end of the conversation I had no idea if I have an appointment or not. After I read some of the low star reviews and after my experience with them on the phone, I feel like this is quite a shady business. I've been getting my pedis/full sets here for over a year and have received great service but today unfortunately I was treated unprofessionally. Disclaimer: (Now mind you my cuticles were very dry when I arrived but I did have to wash my hands 3x to try to get the excess acrylic off of my cuticles while there.) Then before leaving the nail salon I politely told the receptionist that I was displeased with the way the Full Set I had received looked (all while still paying for the service plus tipping). I was told by the receptionist and nail tech that there were no issues with the set and that that the unfinished work was due to my "crooked fingers", me briefly using my phone, touching the Gel lamp, and that I should have spoken up etc. :( Very unprofessional. They don't have much colors and use the most cheap brand. Also they wanna avoid taxes, asking ppl Cash. If u don't have cash you'll use their ATM which is really funny. If u pay with credit card they'll hate u. They add more fees for paying with credit cards and they add the fee on your tip. Which is totally illegal. Also this place is not cheap at all. They add extra money to remove cuticles, which supposed to be free for gel nails or extensions. There are lots of place in DTLA with better service, color choices, better skills, more better price. They upsell you like crazy like other reviewers have said. Did not know the oil bags cost extra and they kept saying they would do stuff but it was added cost which I kept saying no I'm good to. Overall for removal of my prior pedicure, massage which I didn't want, oil on my feet and hands which I didn't know was a separate cost, and simple French tip nails it was 160 with tip (138 by itself). TL;DR: Pricey and lackadaisical. I really wanted to like this place because of the location in proximity. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't great. We had an appointment for gel manicures + pedicures for two people. When we got there, two technicians began working on my sister while I was sitting in the chair next to her for about 30 minutes. It was a little awkward as we'd made the appointment together and they'd be done with her by the time I was serviced with now cold water, by different technicians, so she ended up having to wait for me. This was weird, but fine. The technician kept saying she'd do something "for" us but not that it would cost extra. For instance, she told my sister, "I'll do 10 more minutes" on her pedicure massage, without telling us that it would cost more. Once the technician began working on my gel manicure, she was rough and didn't seem to care much about the quality of work. It very much felt like she was in a rush even though there was one only other customer at the time, and more than enough technicians. After a back and forth, I ended up having an uneven file and the paint was much too far from my cuticles and sides of my fingernail beds. I let them know three separate times that I only wanted a gel manicure, not the massage or anything special. I pointed to what I wanted on their menu, which they were reluctant to show me multiple times. They added the entire cost up for both of us on a piece of paper without showing us what we were paying for; I had to ask. The technician still, twice, brought out hot wax to use on my hands. I had to tell her twice, again, that I only wanted a gel manicure. My sister only wanted a fill and gel color and this ended up being $60+. The whole experienced seemed pretty fishy, expensive, disorganized, and careless. For a whopping $260 including a tip, you'd expect at least sub par service. Also, if you're looking for an eyelash place, while this is listed on the outside of their window, they do not deal with eyelashes. read more

The lady doing my nails was so rough and apparently inexperienced she drilled into my skin four different times not only did she drill into the sides of my fingers, she drilled all of my cuticles and the base of my fingers.
