The nail nest is by far my favorite nail salon! I've been going to them since covid! The vibes are unmatched. When I first started going to them they were appointment only. They are now appointment and they take walk ins. I never fill rushed when going here. Every tech takes their time on my nails and they throughly make sure i am satisfied! I've had to switch over to a different tech inside the best and the owner always makes sure I am taken care of. They even greet you by name. (That's always appreciated!) My first time here, it's tucked away in the middle of the strip of businesses. Very nicely decorated with great music seeing the vibe. I only went because my regular Nail technician, Navy, was new to the shop so I followed her to this shop. As usual Navy, was the best! I did the Honeycomb pedicure..... which was magical. Fresh flower petals and fresh oranges for my leg scrub. Definitely worth $60. Everyone was super professional and friendly. It's in a Brookhaven so it may be a ride worth making. read more

I was in Atlanta for work and needed my nails done. I stalked IG for different places and found The Nail Nest! All of their work looked impeccable and they had many artists that were skilled in design. They also offered Gel-X which is what I wanted. They do appointments online so you can choose your artist and pick your time without having to call. The salon is very clean and decorated nicely. They were playing really good R&B music so it was a vibe! You can tell they take professionalism and customer care seriously. I wanted a marble look and my tech had never done this particular one before but she executed it perfectly just like the inspo pic I showed her. I've heard about The Nail Nest for a while now but for some reason always thought it was hard to secure an appointment. One day I decided to finally plan ahead and book the appointment in advance because they are indeed reservation only! I went on their instagram @the.nail.nest for booking instructions. Long story short, I had some booking issue and their social media personal was so helpful with helping me navigate the site, and adding on a well needed pedicure to my reservation. On the day of my visit I was very pleased by how professional the staff was. I was welcomed by name and instructed to wash my hands and have a seat. The decor is giving enchanted forest where all your nail dreams can come true!! I've now been twice; Katie has done my set both times and I'm obsessed! I've been a customer since they've opened their doors. I've dedicated Instagram posts and reels to promote their business on my Community pages and referred countless family, friends and clients to them. Needless to say when my mother was on her death bed on a VENT in the ICU the night before my appointment the owner refused to reschedule my appointment and kept my money as penalty. I'm absolutely disgusted that a business I've shown so much support to would treat me that way at thee lowest moment in my life. I had a series of appointments scheduled and this establishment was the only one that refused to show sympathy and understanding. I will never return and I caution anyone who should choose to patronize their business to beware that their business strategy is to get and keep your money at all costs to keep their income consistent. Started coming here in July in search of a new, small boutique style nail salon. This one came recommended by another friend who tried their GelX service here and loved it; however I usually get a manicure, dip powder with tip enhancements. My priority was to find someone I can connect with(and I found her here!) All of their nail techs are really talented and do an excellent job. Check out their IG to see. Important things to note: * masks are required for entrance and service. They can provide one for you. * wash your hands upon checking in. * They are a pre-pay service salon, which is a great benefit and adds to the customer experience while at the salon. You must book in advance. I never have to whip out my wallet once my nails are done and just an ease to getting your nails done that a lot of mega nail salons cannot provide. Everybody that booksa service goes thru the same process, so the atmosphere is really spa-like, with good music, and they provide light refreshments (water, soda... that kind of thing) * They are in a small plaza right off the main street so you can end up missing it if you aren't paying attention. They have designated parking spots directly in front of their door however those get filled pretty quickly. There is always parking available, otherwise. * The team is accommodating if you communicate. I made a mistake in making a same-day booking the wrong tech. They are extremely unprofessional! I called them April 9th 2021 to see if I can setup an appt, because the portal wasn't allowing me to process anything just completely shaded gray. Common sense would tell you they are booked, but the portal still says otherwise. The guy whom I spoke to said to book "Monday" April 12th 2021, and that's when the books will open at 11:00am. April 12th 2021 on a "Monday" at "11:00am" on the DOT arrives, and still the same issue. Therefore, I continue to try & still nothing. I go on the IG page, and to send a message since they are posting non stop continuously, and said they have specific staff that specialize in a certain skills set/service requested (understandable) but pretty much said they hold a priority over specific clientele. Word from word "Some of them have their SET CLIENTELE." They also proceeded to say to look on their IG for my updates, as if there aren't adults w/ real lives that handle business. I'm required to hunt them on IG for status updates (so unprofessional). Last, I told them in message that I've tried 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am so see the availability to book my appointment, and all they said was since the weekly books open up at 11am, which is why I couldn't book anything. That I understand and again I tried 11am on a Monday April 12th, and I explained that to whomever I was talking too & they looked at my message & didn't respond after but they posted this on the page. Never again. I'm a private flight attendant, and therefore having structure when it comes to a schedule is VERY IMPORTANT. My delivery was never rude & disrespectful, and I understand them being limited in staff due to COVID-19. However, their responses & the online portal/system they have is poor. ***UPDATE & NEW PHOTO ADDED*** So they had time today. THE OWNER had time today & it's never about my schedule, it's about how the "Nail Nest" does they're scheduling & the professionalism for me. I had a random conversation w/ one of our "Clients" a passenger of ours on the Jet that complained about you won't believe who "Nail Nest" for exactly the same reason. It was quite a long flight from Atlanta to Sardegna, but the wife (my passenger) has a second home there & stay for Fall/Winter seasons. She complimented me on my nails, and proceeds to tell me about her recent experience "Nail Nest." My client vented to me about the online portal which was terrible, and when she tried make a phone call to arrange an appointment the conversations were very short & rude. They don't even invest in a portal that operates. Thankfully I found a fabulous personal nail tech in the the Buckhead area. Although, it's a little pricey her work & communication is worth it. As for that establishment or operation it's very unfortunate for them, because me being in private aviation flying Part 91 & 135 I come across some veryyy prestigious individuals & let's just say word gets around real fast. I did not think I could love The Nail Nest any more, but I was proven wrong today. I typically only go for my hands, but in November the tech who did my pedicures (at a different shop) let me know she was leaving, and she didn't say where she was going. I had a backup in that location and wasn't too worried. Then, Nessa posted about how good her mom, Snow, is with pedicures, particularly ingrowns. I zero'd in and booked a pedi for today after my reg nail appt. If you have ingrowns, you know how painful they can be, and it's always been just as painful to have them worked on. Let me say this...Snow sat down and went to work. There was a little (and I mean VERY little) bit of pain at one point, but overall a breeze. I was in shock. Also, the nail she cut from the sides of toes was a indication that my old tech had just been playing with my feet these last 4 years. I will be going to Snow from this day forward. Now, this post makes it sound like my feet are "tow-up from the flo up." I don't have hammer time at all. I'm just glad that my feet look and, most importantly, FEEL so much better. My nail tech was Pin and he is so nice, I actually probably kept bugging him via Instagram to see if he had any cancellations.... when he didn't he would check in with me to see if I could come in if there were cancellations. Schedules aligned and I was able to secure my appointment. It was a great experience, but even better nail care quality. Quality of work is solid but business practices are questionable so buyer beware. Booking online will reveal more of what they DON'T do than what they actually offer. If you book with them, communicate with your tech and press them to be upfront about what are considered upcharges or you will absolutely be blindsided at the end. For example, I've gone several times and got the same style consecutively (gel nails, no art) but the final price varied. Sometimes they charge for length, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they charge for basic nail shaping (seems weird?), sometimes they don't. Manicures of any type are not included in the base price and considered an additional cost. And if you opt for nail art it's priced on a glance and whim at checkout with no transparency (eg. time, complexity, products used?). At the end of the experience what you owe could easily increase by 75%+ on top of the payment they already collected for service at time of booking. Paying for the service is one thing, but being inconsistent while playing gotcha games re: pricing is another. Note to management: This could have easily been an a 5 star review if the company was just more upfront and consistent with customers about pricing, but it does not feel good to be unnecessarily nickeled and dimed. read more

What I asked for vs what I got. Before I left I expressed dissatisfaction with ($30) design and was told to call and DM management. The policy stated that the nail salon could fix things before departure but a refund could not be issued. I asked to have the design removed and noted bulkiness of the nail. The tech who serviced me, the tech who checked me out, and the manager insisted there is nothing wrong with the nails. The manager stated that designs " cannot be replicated" when I asked for a removal / refund for the design. The kicker is I witnessed another dissatisfied customer have her design redone. First time today after an IG search. Dee was my tech. I could tell she was young and I think a little inexperienced. She needs more practice with shaping and her polish technique. She uses little, short strokes to apply polish as opposed to long strokes that go the length of the nail. Coats are streaky and final product was lumpy. Also needs to do a better clean up job. I booked a pedicure for 4:30, they then confirmed it online at 5:15 which was odd because I selected 4:30. The day before the appointment they changed it again to 5:00. I arrived at 5, because that's the last time they changed it to. Waited in cold water until 5:30 when the tech finally got to me and rushed through the entire service. I absolutely love the talent and the customer service but I don't like selling my soul for an appointment, have it changed multiple times, be serviced 30 minutes late and then be rushed the entire time. I would avoid this place, they gave my daughter a nasty nail infection. I took her here to get the new Gel X nails, and not only did the first one fall off two days later, but the rest had come off a within 5 days. (Making a mess of her nails, fyi.) For $90 I'd expect nails to last longer, esp since they supposed to stay on for several weeks. But even worse than that, the tech gave her a nail infection and she had to bandage the finger and treat it with antibiotics for several days. **This is my first negative review I have ever left in my life. ** I am absolutely BAFFLED by the customer service I received here. I have truly never in my life experienced anything like this. Yesterday around 3:30- I made an appointment for today, (Wednesday) for 4:30pm. Around 5pm yesterday, (1.5 hours after I booked the appt) I realized I could not do the 4:30pm today as it interfered with plans my fiancé made me for my birthday. I looked online on their site, and realized they had a 1pm open Friday, so I called them to see if I could switch. The lady I talked to told me their policy- no cancellations less than 24 hours prior to appt time, I totally understand that; but I just made the appointment and after telling her what was going on, she decided to switch it to Friday at 1pm. (I am having my 30th birthday party Friday night, so wasn't thrilled about having to get my nails done the same day) Fast forward to this morning- I am stressing about getting my nails done on Friday, my party day, so my fiancé said we could push the dinner back tonight and I could just do the 4:30pm today so I wouldn't feel rushed on the day of my party. I checked website- they still had the 4:30pm open for today. I called them and apologized and just asked if there was any possible way to switch back to today at 4:30. I was extremely apologetic and sweet, as I know it wasn't an ideal situation. She said she can't switch to 4:30, so I said I totally understand, but asked if I could just cancel Friday and they could keep my deposit and I use it in a few weeks. She put me on hold to call the owner- she comes back on the phone after 5 minutes and said that she will refund me, but they will not accept me as a client and will refuse services to me permanently. I got BLACKLISTED for rescheduling. I am in the service industry, and I would never dream of refusing services to a client because something came up in their life and they couldn't make an appointment work. I have never been banned from anywhere in my life, so to be banned for having to reschedule is beyond unbelievable. My nail girl moved to LA, and I have been trying to find somebody that is equal to her, but they hands down did not deliver. Needless to say, I went to a different salon today, and was treated with so much respect and they did an amazing job on my nails. (Luxury Nail Bar, if anybody needs a good Rec) If you plan to go here be sure that is the time you want, because it is set in stone, and you are screwed if you have something come up in your life! I booked an appointment online and found a time that was easy for me. Came in 15minutes before since they are appointments preferred and I didn't want to be late on my first appointment. I checked in a few minutes early and was asked to wash my hands. My nail tech Snow started my service and I am in Love with GelX and won't be going back to acrylic nails. I went to this nail salon awhile back and debated on writing a review but decided that people should be aware and do business elsewhere. I had two appointments with the salon prior to being blacklisted. Lol. Before I ever booked my very first appointment, I asked for a "master" nail tech because I wanted very detailed artwork. I was told that all that was available at the time was an "intermediate" artist. I said okay and asked them if in the future I could book with a master artist when their schedule opened up. I was told "sure-- no problem." After my 2nd appointment (while trying to book my 3rd appointment), I noticed that a master artist that I'd been trying to book with for a very long time finally had availability and I was ECSTATIC! I asked them if I could book with her for my next Gel-x set and I was suddenly told that there was now a waitlist and they would not book me. I then found out they blocked me from their social media stories on IG so I could no longer view their availability. Crazy! All of that because I kindly asked to book with a master artist because I wanted intricate artwork designs. Which AGAIN -- I set that stage upfront before my very first appointment. They are incredibly childish and unprofessional. I don't see why anyone would spend their money here to be treated that way. I've never in my life been treated in such a way. What a sweet little nail salon! Located inside the Salon Lofts, the Nail Nest is a lovely nail salon tucked away between dozens of other small beauty businesses. It's almost like a one-stop shop for beauty services. The Salon Lofts is in a shopping plaza that also houses a Kroger and Starbucks, so there's plenty of free parking available. This was my first time here, and I was a bit apprehensive because I had a special circumstance this time around. One of my nails cracked right down the middle after a small accident I had, and it's still growing out. I've been needing a manicure pretty badly and went in hoping we could figure out what to do. Nessa, the owner, was great! She helped me decide how to best handle my cracked nail and which manicure style would work best aesthetically. I'm also working on growing out all my nails so as not to use tips anymore, and she offered to work with me on that as well. I'm not one for much small talk, but the conversation never felt forced. Because she works alone by individual appointments, you really feel like the greatest priority is you as a client. The space is definitely on the smaller side, but her decor is so cozy that it feels a lot bigger. No strong chemical scents. Overall, a great customer experience and a lovely end result. Girl at the front desk was uninformed of their own prices. Not bright at all. It is also very pricey and a very unprofessional place. Save your time and your money. Absolutely amazing! Powerful! I created a moodboard and had very specific instructions and included pictures. My nail artist (I believe her name was Tracy) was so communicative and on the ball about making sure everything was done to my liking. I honestly do not think I've had a better (gel) manicure... ever. And I've had my nails done by international celebrity nail artists! Her attention to detail leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. At one point, she did vertical lines instead of horizontal and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted, however she was very willing to change it if I wanted her to. I did not feel uncomfortable to be vocal at all-- and let's be honest, a lot of the time we do have experiences of being written off, ignored, or made to feel like our commentary is unwelcome in certain nail salons. Not here, not at all! Aside from the amazing manicure, the music was phenomenal. The latest in hip R&B was such a calming vibe, I didn't even feel the need to listen to music at all. The waiting area is decadent, with a fully stocked fridge. I enjoyed a Perrier while I waited, but there was also coffee, flat water, and tea. LOVED IT! Prior to this, I had only positive experiences here, with the technician, Lily. Lily was unavailable so I booked with Snow. I requested matte polish this time. The set came out lovely but when I got home, a couple of my nails started bubbling up under the polish. I called and told them and they explained the wrong polish was used and had me come back to get it fixed. Snow filed the polish off and used the correct polish for matte this time. I went home and a nail broke. Again, I called to let them know and they explained she must have filed them too much and they were too thin. They were so professional & understanding and gave me a whole new set. Unfortunately, the polish started peeling right away again so I let the owner know but I couldn't come back since I was headed out of town. FFW 3 months later, I request an appointment for Lily because she did such a great job on my Apres set a while back. I was denied an appointment and they told me to find another business. I was shocked! We had never had tense communication nor did either party ever express anger or frustration. I thought they handled everything well up until this. So just be aware that their mistakes could get you uninvited. It's unfortunate because I liked the salon. read more
