Wont be continuing to get my nails done here. I'm not sure what happened, but what I asked for was not done. I asked for dipped nails and instead, the nail technician was in a not so pleasant mood that he did what he wanted. Filed too rough and chipped two nails. He knew what he did because instead of fixing it and acknowledging it he put a clear glue-like on my nails and said that next time I come in the dip would be done. He filed so hard that the sides of the nails are uneven. Im soooo annoyed. This is a super cute little nail shop! I didn't feel like driving to my usual spot, so I decided to try out The Nailbox after driving by one day and seeing it. I've been there twice. Both times were for a pedicure, but this last time, I also tried the dip powder. The staff is really nice, especially the owner. They also have a sweet dog that is so calm and friendly. He often looks so happy just being in there with everyone. If you're scared of dogs, he would definitely help you get over that. I believe his name is Kip. The place is beautifully decorated and I love the quaint look, the plants, decorations, and the cleanliness. It's better to make an appointment, but generally because I run over there when I do have a break in time, it's usually last minute and I don't have an appointment. They do have decent wait times and I have plenty games on my phone to keep me busy, so I don't mind waiting. I took one star off because when I got dip a couple weeks ago, the lady ended up running the buffer across my cuticles and that whole skin area above the nail. So basically, she ended up shaving off skin, instead of sticking to just my nail beds. I kept saying ouch and pulling away, but I guess she was in a hurry since it was the end of the night and they were closing. Completely understandable, but still. We were the last customers in there, so I get it. Either way, I wish she would have been more careful, because it was raw and hurt for days. Not good when you have to keep bending your fingers or washing dishes. I ended up with scabs and have a few that are still there and it's now 3 weeks later. That one star off is also in reference to my pedicure. While the young guy did a great job, he also rushed towards the end. I never got a massage with lotion. Every single pedicure that I've received in the past (including from The Nailbox) always came with a massage and some lotion. All he did was put oil and lightly rubbed that into my toes for moisture... not even my whole foot. He got up to leave and started cleaning up. I had to ask him if he could at least put lotion on my legs and feet. He did a quick job, and I mean quick and proceeded to go back to cleaning up. There was no massage at all. That was very disappointing to say the least, especially considering how much we spent that day. read more

save ur money. these nails look like you did them at home. i paid 55 for a gel french pedicure and 45 for my sisters gel manicure and tipped $19 bc it wasn't a good job. she got polish outside her nail and the paint job was not even. my sister is allergic to latex and she told them that but they still used latex gloves bc the others ones 'weren't strong enough.' i asked for a french pedicure but the pink shade chosen was so pale for my skin tone i wanted it more pink but she never asked she just picked. i would ask what color she thought was best for my skin tone but she didn't speak english so i just went with it. not worth what you pay for. read more

I've had 2-3 different pedicurists since and they were 'passable' but just barely in doing s good pedicure. However, the last time there, 3 days ago, was such a half a** job in HIS knowledge of a decent pedicure has made me not want to return there again! Hiring inexperienced salon employees will hurt their business as I see new faces each time I've been there. I called same day for an appointment for gel pedicure and she said yes she had availability. I got to my appointment on time she tells me that she didn't have me down, she wrote the wrong name but my number was there. I waited which I don't mind and they didn't seem busy. Finally set me and the lady smacks my legs to cue me to put my leg inThe water or out. Super unnecessary I didn't have headphones or anything. She asked me one question what color and that's it. I've been getting my nails done since I was 14 years old. I've never had such aggressive person do my pedicure. It's sad to see such a nice place have such horrible service. First time I used Nailbox services for a mani/pedi . I went in as a walk in and they immediately serviced me . The woman who did my pedicure did a fair job of taking care of my ingrown toe nails but, left the paper between my toes , didn't help me put my sandals on to avoid smudging , was not friendly. I saw this place had 5 stars, checked out their Instagram and decided to come by since they opened 2 minutes away from home! I haven't done my nails since having a baby, so I definitely was in need of a self care day. I decided to call to see if they had any openings and they took me in within the hour! I got a full set with gel & gel pedicure and I love that you pick out your colors & you're in a chair within minutes of getting there! My first visit here was 2 months ago & is definitely the last. The man who worked on my nails kept disregarding the fact that I was in pain from being cut by him multiple times. I kept repeating, "Ouch!" & asked to be careful because he's cutting me with the drill. He cut the skin on my thumb near the cuticle, it bled a little, & also on the pointer finger. Then under the UV light, the cuts burned. When he was done, my nails had air bubbles & was bumpy. It looked nothing like the picture I showed. I notified the other nail tech who took my payment that I was NOT happy with the cuts & the results. She offered to fix it for free the following day, but I never wanted to go back again. I went Saturday 1/31/22 and got GelX nails and the color was amazing for New Years on Monday 1/2 one nail popped off on it own. Didn't hit anything just came off. Unfortunately I had to update stars from 4 to 3. I've noticed the decline in pedicures. I always get regular pedicures and when first started coming here they would use a base coat on toes, one of the reasons I stuck with them. The last few times I noticed my toe nails getting weird discoloration as if color was placed directly on toe nail. I didn't think that could be it since they originally used base coat. So went back 3 more times with different people and it's now just polish and top coat. As much as I liked them I won't be coming back. Note: They're all lovely they just don't do pedicures to my liking anymore. I see people asking about gel all the time. So hopefully this helps. Whatever service you get add 15$ for gel. It's an add on service so if manicure is 25$ add 15$ for gel, total of 40$. read more
