Lots of polished are separated and old. Owner didn't cover the whole nail when she applied polish. Had them done in evening and the morning I look closely, it shows on almost every nail. She was in a hurry and said she didn't have time in a not friendly way. So I didn't want to check my nails and ask her to redo any. Tools were not pulled out of a plastic sheet, when I asked if they autoclave she said yes and kept looking down. But she just pulled them out of a wet fluid, so I'm not sure. Hope I don't get fungus under my nails. I'm used to places opening a packet in front of you and the tools are dry and sealed. Reading other reviews here, I'm nervous that I should've paid closer attention to the condition of the buffer and such. I won't be returning as she wasn't friendly and they don't look smooth and even. After paying $65-70, I should've just done them myself. The hot stones massage on pedicure was nice and massage. I don't normally leaves review unless I feel I have to. I used to love coming here -- the previous owner was warm and made you feel cared for and I was a regular for years. Since the new owner took over, everything feels different. She's unfriendly, loudly asked about my ethnicity, and charged more than what her staff quoted. I truly believe the staff gave the correct price, but she ignored it. It's not about the small price difference, it's about the lack of clarity and trust. Even if your staff gave the wrong quote, as the owner, you should honor it. That's a basic principle of good business especially you are in the customer service industries. She even stared while I tipped her staff to see how much I tipped her, that was very uncomfortable. I believe good service isn't about how much you charge -- it's the experience that makes customers want to come back. I'm someone who gets manicure pedicures regularly, but I won't be coming back. I used to love going to this place but the last 2 times, one lady (not sure if she's the owner) has been rushing so much. I paid $45 for a 15 min pedicure & it was the worst pedicure of my life. My nails were crooked, like actually. & I also paid extra for the callus removal and the plastic bag wasn't even on my heel and when I told her, she said it's okay, removed it and sent me out. Have to preface that I am super picky about where I get my nails done as a former professional hand/nail model. For the most part, I do my own nails and pedicure myself but, I wanted the relaxation massage parts of the mani and pedi. Went here a few years ago when they had a different owner and was Shades salon. I am a fan of organic products and the scent inside of an organic salon is different from regular products with formaldehyde, alcohol, etc. They do however have non organic products and charge more for services w/organic products. One gal started on my pedi and did a really great massage and the owner finished up on the rest. I had lots of time on the massage chair since the ladies were the only ones working and juggling 3 customers. Mostly positive experience except when the owner nicked my cuticle on my left hand. It surprised me and then she cleaned it up and asked if I am OK. It is a minor little cut but they have to be more careful and not rush. She may have done the same with another customer's toe with the file or buffer because I saw the gal cringe for a second and she apologized. The salon and restroom are super clean. Nice owner and other gal was super sweet. Easy small strip mall parking on a Saturday afternoon. Not sure if I will return though but, 3 stars. read more

I came here with my friend and we got gel pedicures. The price is comparable to other prices in the area ($55 for each gel pedicure). Really nice people here -- I forgot the name of technician, but she was great. They give a 10 minute massage for a regular pedicure, plus hot stone. We'll see how long the pedicure lasts, but I love how they have a member card which means that you can have a discount after a certain number of services. I like that they have organic options too, but they are of course more pricey. They have massage chairs as well, and that was great. No weird chemical smell which is always a plus. read more

She didn't even acknowledge the comment and kept answering calls on her phone and leaving to the restroom to answer her phone. She was so distracted. My nails looked terrible on my wedding day. Came here to get my nails done as a trial for my wedding and within 5 minutes of my experience I wanted to walk right out. They re-use their mail supplies on clients and do not clean this place! The place itself is located in a plaza with free parking. I was greeted when I came in and told to sit down. The place is dirty. The table that I was at was wet, and looking around all the equipment and polishes looked very worn and like they had not been cleaned in a while. She did not ask me to clean my hands and did not clean them or soak them, just proceeded to start clipping my cuticles. Then she brought out buffers to start shaping and buffing and I was horrified as they were clearly USED!!! And if no one is asking to wash your hands or cleaning them this sounds like a huge health hazard. I was literally in such shock but I didn't say anything and the whole experience got even worse. My nail tech, Shana, seemed so rushed and frustrated although I was very polite to her. I didn't even say anything about how the table was wet or how it looked like the buffing pad and nail file she was using on my were clearly well used! Throughout the whole process she did not clean my nails and I had to ask her to get under to get the dirt out and I cannot imagine all the germs/bacteria floating around this place with their used tools and dirty lamps especially if no one is washing their hands while they are getting their nails done. She let out multiple sighs and when I was commenting on how the color looked a little different and she got frustrated and just started taking it off and demanded I choose another. It was so uncomfortable. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. The whole thing(gel mani with chrome) took around 20 minutes and she definitely rushed through it and didn't do a great job. When I was done I was not happy at all but was just itching to get out of there so I paid her on venmo and ran out of there as fast as I could. I would not recommend this place. It's cheap and affordable but my experience was SO uncomfortable and the place is downright disgusting! I don't think they follow health codes. I would pay to NOT have the experience I did and I did not leave feeling more relaxed as getting your nails should feel like. read more

I was waiting outside for 5-10 minutes past their open time before one of their workers came and opened shop. Then, I found out they didn't write down my appointment that I made over the phone. Thankfully, they were still able to take me but the worker seemed very unhappy and stressed. She was nice to me but overall the vibes there were not good. New ownership in the last two months. I enjoyed coming here before, so I was apprehensive to find out the ownership changed. Luckily it was just as clean and the service was just as attentive. I was very happy with my pedicure. I just got a regular pedicure, but they have a lot of different types of pedicures with foot massage add ons. They only have 1 small fan on and it was really hot that day. Mani: the lady who did my mani was really frustrated. She prolly sighed like 3 times in front of me while doing my nails. She filed my nails extra hard that I have to tell her twice to do it slow. As you can see on the photos I got scratched and bleed. She didn't make even achived the design I wanted. She kept saying she can do it. But the outcome was bad. I didn't like it she was clearly in a hurry and she kept complaining that her clients are late. Well I interrupted her saying I was on time. She even passed it on to another lady to the final steps for my mani. Also her nail clippers and such is not new. She just keep them soaked on a lil container with blue liquid. She even someone else's nail clippers when I asked her clean the sides of nails Pedi: lady was nice but I really felt it was so fast. It only took her 10 mins to do my pedi. I was really surprised. She used new set of nail clippers which is a good thing. She did massage me but she didn't really clean my nails or the side of my nails. Bottom line is I really felt uncomfortable and rushed. The ladies are nice and rude at the same time. We can say nicely rude. I still paid them for the service and tipped but minimum only since i didn't get a good service. I went in on a Monday because the place I had planned to go was closed on that day, and I had lost two nails over the weekend :( but... Lucky me! I was pleasantly surprised with my manicure and pedicure. I got the REAL builder gel manicure that as of this writing can only be had at this nail bar. Don't fall for the knockoff sloppy stuff that gets painted on and then clumsily ground down. My manicurist was either the owner or manager and was an expert with hand-brushing on the builder gel. She didn't have to grind down any mistakes afterward because she didn't make any. She also used the builder gel to extend and fix the two broken nails that I had to cut all the way back. I got the glass gel nail color which is beautiful ($10 extra) and classy. The pedicure was amazing because another nail expert who I was told and can confirm "does the best massages" was asked to come over and do the massage part of the pedicure. A few minutes of heaven! The callous removal was also really thorough and way better than I've ever had, with the pedicurist checking and re-checking for rough spots. I'm going back in a few weeks for a repeat. What to look out for: The place is small, so make an appointment if you can. Looks like it can fill up fast and leave you waiting if you pop in at the wrong time. Still curious: They have a small beauty room where they do facials and limited body massage. Tempting for another day. They also sell the facial products. read more

None of those loud nail techs who talk to each other in their language you have no idea if it's you they're talking about. Second, the place is clean. Granting they weren't busy both times I was there, everything was clean and I proper places. I came in for a pedicure and it was good but the guy doing my pedicure got up and another lady came to paint it she did it so fast and did such a horrible job. Literally took one minute for three coats of polish. Clear coat is globby and not on the entire nail if that makes sense? After looking more at the color, there's huge sections that are missed on the sides of my toes, which I mentioned to her at the first coat when she missed the whole left side. She dismissed me quickly and went even faster! I've been coming here for almost a year now. Since last summer. And I've been consistently happy with the service. Sookie was wonderful with managing appointments and it was super easy to communicate via text. I really wish things didn't change.. Last month, on my last appointment, Sookie informed me that someone else will be taking over the salon. I'm unsure if ownership has changed completely but my most recent visit was less than ideal. I showed up on time and they seemed like they were not expecting me at all. What they did work on my nails, the entire job was rushed. Later I realized the reason the woman was rushing was because her ride was waiting for her outside. I'm leaving a 4 star rating because of my overall good experience over the last year but note that new management started in June 2023.
