I always feel very comfortable with him in my home. Just some of the great work he's done in my place: 1) Installed 2 wall-mounted TV's (55" in my bedroom, 65" in my living room): before installing the TV's - he installed recessed outlet boxes for the TV plugs, which made the TV's flush. They're perfectly mounted and locked into place. The 65" TV is a swivel and it retracts easily. 2) Installed my beautiful Anthropologie wallpaper in my bedroom: He did such a great job lining up the panels, making the proper cuts and removing the panels. Evan around the window, door and outlets - it came out seamless. I'm so pleased with the end result. The bedroom sconces were installed by Bendi as well. Then, he clipped all of the extra wires from the air conditioner, sconces, my phone charger on a wall-mounted power strip underneath my bed frame (so it's extra easy to clean without having to move all the wires). 3) Installed a West Elm chandelier in my dining room & replaced the switch to a dimmer: nothing was there previously, just a cover plate on the ceiling. My experience with Tony of Horse GC LLC, also known as Chimney Roofs, was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a contractor. Tony performed work at my property despite a Stop Work Order/permit issue, and I was ultimately left dealing with three violations and approximately $17,000 in violations and related costs associated with my house. To this day, Tony refuses to pay or take responsibility for these costs, leaving me, the homeowner, to deal with the consequences. He also left a substantial amount of construction garbage and debris at my property. Throughout the entire process, I felt that his priority was simply completing the job rather than protecting the homeowner or making sure the work was properly permitted and compliant. During an inspection, I also witnessed conduct by Tony toward the inspectors that I found extremely inappropriate, including what appeared to me to be an attempt to improperly influence them. I have never dealt with a contractor who made me feel so unsupported as a homeowner. A professional contractor should follow the rules, comply with Stop Work Orders, obtain and maintain the proper permits, communicate honestly, clean up after the job, and stand behind his work. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Tony. I would never hire Tony or this company again. I strongly recommend that homeowners do their research, verify permits and licensing, and investigate the company carefully before signing a contract. My experience has cost me approximately $17,000 in violations and related costs, and Tony has refused to pay. Do not use this contractor.

John laid out all the options on what he could do for me on any budget but never imposed on doing one option over another. I decided to replace the whole roof to try and eliminate the problem from the previous roofers. John updated me every step of the way, sending pictures of the progress and being transparent of what materials he was using. His 15 year warranty shows how serious he is about his craftsmanship. Even after 2 years later, he was passing by the neighborhood and saw that I was missing a shingle from heavy wind, he offered to fix it free of charge and had his guys check the roof to see that it was still in good condition. That's what I call service! I don't think there are any other roofers willing to bat an eye for something small like that after their job is done.
