Middle of the afternoon, only one table occupied, we had just walked through a rainstorm and were dripping wet. The kind waitress at the end of the bar asked if we'd like a towel. Then she looked at the bartender (marine vet), who shook his head no. She looked at us apologetically and shrugged. Simple, common courtesy and good manners matter more than anything else. Bad move, bartender.
