Worst Viewing Party I've ever attended. I went to see Wrestlepalooza on ESPN. When I arrived, I was told you had to ticket in advance (something I don't remember seeing on the Facebook event, but that could be my fault), except the 20 free tickets were all sold out. However, there were 10 VIP tickets, which included preferred seating, unlimited food and drink, for just under $50. I figured ESPN would have set me back $30 for the event, so $20 for "unlimited food and drink" seemed reasonable. Boy was I wrong. "Unlimited drink" was beer. I don't drink beer. I asked for a Dr. Pepper and was told "It's really hard to find Dr. Pepper in a bar." It isn't, actually. I order it all the time. The bartender opted to cut me a break and make me a drink that wasn't on the approved menu; this is the only reason this review isn't one star. This was also the only drink I had on the night; despite the fact that there were no other customers in the bar up until the point I left (other than one guy shooting hoops), they refused to provide service in the room - you had to come to them, which was a bit of a walk. The room the screening was in felt like a storage room. You had to get past unplugged, unused machines to get to the room, which was only lit by the projection image and difficult to navigate in the dark. If you take a look at the attached photos, the route to the "VIP seats" is on the right, around the edge, through a stanchion which you have to open yourself, in the dark. Note the setup in the photos attached. "Unlimited food" was a stack of personal pizzas they ordered in from pizza hut, which arrived around the start of the first match and were immediately gone. The only options were pepperoni, cheese and buffalo chicken. There was no other food provided during the time I was there. They brought in what looked like a small wire tray of something as I was leaving, but even if that was food, that's over an hour and a half between options. "Unlimited food." So here's the big problem. The stream was unwatchable. The signal hung on a regular basis, leaving a frozen image on the screen. Others were checking ESPN on their phones and reporting back as to how far behind the live broadcast we were. By the time something changed (more on that in a minute), we were a full ten minutes behind live (this means we'd had ten minutes of frozen screen time during the pre show and the end of the first match), and we jumped from the commercial break before the second match to just before the finish of the second match (Usos/Vision). This is the point where the bar opted to switch to run the event off of the hotspot from some guy's cellphone. Please note the closeup of the chromebook with said cellphone in the foreground. During the first match, the guy next to me (who was not wearing a VIP wristband but still seated in the VIP section), got up from his seat next to his companion and left. The bartender who had helped me came back with him, and together they started fiddling with the chromebook, which interrupted the image and the signal even more. I watched them perusing the WiFi signal list (which is why I included my own screenshot of this list) and discovered we were on the open, public network "TheNerd." Let me reiterate: WE WERE ON AN OPEN, PUBLIC NETWORK THAT IS LOCATED AT THE SOUTH END OF FREMONT STREET, AN AREA THAT IS HEAVILY TRAFFICKED BY THE PUBLIC, AND THESE PEOPLE THOUGHT THEY WOULD HAVE THE BANDWIDTH TO CARRY A LIVE STREAMING SERVICE IN HIGH DEFINITION. The bartender and the guy switched us to "DORK KNIGHT HOTSPOT," which improved the broadcast for a short time... except when guy went to pick up his phone, use it to record the screen, and send that footage elsewhere. See, the third match on the card was Stephanie Vaquer vs. Iyo Sky, and BOY, did this guy make it known how much he liked Stephanie Vaquer's ass. I don't know whether he was talking to me or to his female companion... but it made the match, the one I was most looking forward to (yes, both Sky and Vaquer are attractive - but they're also the best workers on the card), even more unbearable. As this match, the third of five matches on the card, the hangs in the stream increased to every 15 to 30 seconds. Once Vaquer won the women's title, I opted to leave. I couldn't do this to myself for another hour. AT NO POINT WAS THE EVENT STREAM ON "NERD-PRIVATE." I went to the bar; I figured I was probably leaving, but maybe I could get a partial refund or another drink to gain some value to the event. I tried to bring the problem with the signal to the bartender's attention. I was told that DORK KNIGHT HOTSPOT guy WAS a VIP, despite not having a wristband, as he was a friend of the owner. There was no owner or manager on property for an advertised event - the entire thing was in the hands of these two bartenders. I was told "This is only my problem for ten more minutes," and "No refunds." I won't ever set foot in The Nerd again.

Do NOT come here! Prepaid for a big group to bowl here. Lanes constantly broke down. Couldn't even finish a whole game without it breaking down several times. The lanes just went dark. The place is dark and dingy. Employee "Chanel" was no help. She kept saying she's new and they were short staffed. I asked to speak with manager and was told manager unavailable. Wouldn't call the manager from the house phone to ask for help. She said "You can call the manager by yourself from your cell. I replied, You call him from the house phone and I'll speak to him. She would not. I asked for manager's phone number and she replied, I can't give you his phone number. What Da F@#% ⁉ This employee needs additional training. This place is a total waste of time and an embarrassment for the owner/operator. Not even offered a partial refund for services not received. Be warned. Drinks are overpriced. Bowling is a joke. Toilets stink & unsanitary! ZERO STARS! Don't waste your time & money here! Thanks for reading.

This was a cool spot to wait for our slotzilla time. It was basically empty. Plenty of retro games and things to do. We bowled and played Super Nintendo. They also have an arcade, photobooth, and sets. 80s babies you will have a blast

The Nerd is an interesting bar filled with random spaces. You have an arcade areas, game station, a staging area where we saw a Barbie dream house set up, and the back pit where you can ride the giant penis. The restroom was also of the most disgusting ones I've seen. One stall was a shower curtain instead of a door. I was speechless. Definitely not a bar of choice but we came here to watch our friend perform in the Variety Show they hosted on a Sunday night. They made a cocktail specifically for the show called the Blockbuster (similar to the Kirby) which we got along with a beer. The cocktail was $13, light on the alcohol, and pretty darn sweet. The beer was good but also on the sweeter side. The only pros were that the bartender was cool and they have a cool, creative drink menu.

This bar is so fun and it's located directly on Fremont Street experience. They offer free bowling as long as you are buying drinks at the bar and you can hang out and play in their bowling alley for free which I think is super cool. If I remember correctly, they have four lanes and you just keep your own score and hang out. There's also a giant mechanical penis that you can ride if you're feeling crazy and up to it. It's an amazing photo opportunity, fun for bachelorette parties, or birthday girls, or anybody who wants a showstopper vegas photo for their social media !

We were in Vegas to visit friends that live locally and the husband wanted to give my wife the presidential tour of all things The Strip and Fremont Street. I remember saying to Nancy that since I used to live in Vegas, I'd be hard pressed to see anything that was new for my eyes. She accepted that challenge and said, we have a surprise place to take you! I was like, what is it, what is it.... She wouldn't budge. Just kept saying it'll make sense when we're there. I didn't exactly know what this surprise would hold, but obviously for a lesbian couple, after the fact (and visit) its pretty hilarious! Upon walking in, you see it. For anyone in the know of the slang term, BDE, it was there. In all it's glory. I was just like, what in the actual........ yeahhh, is that. Lol Luckily for us, we came in on a super deserted night. Pretty much no one except for the staff. We did ask permission to take some posed shots with BDE. I was laughing too much to take a ride on it, but my wife and bestie did. I've read reviews for this place independent of mine and they're not that great. I'd have to agree the drinks were nothing to write home about. Hard pass on that. I went to The Nerd for the first time and had a great time! Tiana was very friendly and nice, and we conversed a lot since it was slow in the bar. And she even took my pic for me! We heard about this place on Yelp and decided that we'd give this place a try since we were staying in downtown. I feel like this place has a lot of potential. They've got tons of cool unique memorabilia/ photo-ops at this location and even have a dick riding bull (yes, I said what I said), and a bowling alley. Most of the arcade games here didn't look like they were managed well. I tried putting some quarters into a game and didn't work. Half of the games were not even turned on :( The prices for the drink were just okay. I thought it'd be better considering it felt like I was at a dive bar. I do hope that they spend some time upgrading this place as it has a ton of potential!

Drinks and arcade games are a great late night combination. I was around the Fremont street for a free concert. I scrolled through yelp to see places to check out near me for drinks and overall good times and the nerd came up on the list. I've been to barcade before but the nerd is different in their price structure because they offers a variety of activities at no cost including bowling, and pin ball machines. It took awhile to get drinks hence the two star review. The hostess and bartender looked scrambled and lost while we were there it seemed like only one of the bartender was the real bartender. It cost $58 for a pitcher of blue moon, and a 25 minute wait at the bar. The nerd is definitely hole in the wall type venue for late night gathering. If you don't like over priced drinks and long wait I would avoid this place weekend nights. I have not been to the nerd during the weekday so not sure if the experience would be any different. read more

I got my friends to go here with me on First Friday, ladies are free but men had a $10 cover charge. Video games, billiards and bowling are free! The waitresses and bartenders did a very good job at refilling our drinks. This place wasn't too packed like the other bars in Down Town, I like that because we didn't have to wait for our turn and it wasn't crowded, we weren't rubbing against drunk sweaty people but only enjoyed our drunk selfs having a good time with our friends. They even had comic books on sale for $1 and costumes for sale. I hear if you dress cosplay, you get half price drinks. read more

I didn't know what to expect coming in here. You never know with Vegas. And I live here. Lol There are bowling lanes, video games, arcade games, UFC inspired dancefloor, seating areas, plus lots of current TV series inspired show memorabilia. I kinda lost my sh*t when I saw Michael Meyer's. - don't judge I love horror Current music playing and just overall a great vibe. The drinks were probably the most reasonable out of my shenanigans for the night. Plenty of seating either at the bar, or several booth lounge seating areas. Great vibe good people We ordered the Portal and Sex on the beach made with pineapple. Tianna was truly the MVP tonight. She made my experience pretty darn wonderful. Location Fremont Experience- parking garage or lots. This place is def a great 1st date spot or even just to come chill and have a great time. I'll be back in here for sure. read more

I love a good barcade. This is not one of them. On paper this places sounds great. Their website it states free bowling, billiards and video games. However when you arrive, you're in for a surprise. Due to social media, it's easy to make a place look great. Even more awesome than what it is. That's how I feel about The Nerd based of the pictures I saw online from social media compared to what I saw in person. We showed up and it says on the door where security is checking for ID, 'ladies in free, guys a one drink minimum'. The doorman didn't mention this though as we walked in. When you walk in the bar is right there in front of you w/ bartenders dressed in cosplay outfits. They offer gaming on consoles on the TVs, all you need is your ID. As your eyes scan the room you see randomness everywhere. There's an octagon located at towards the back. Why? There's a display case of wrestling items. There's random art scattered throughout the place. There's about 6-8 arcade games, which only the ones located up front are free. The others are 25-50 cents. You would think a change machine would be near the machines that require quarters, there's not. The bowling alley is about 6 lanes. A handful of balls to choose from, none of which fit my fingers. Several beer pong tables. The men's bathroom is wallpapered w/ comic book pages. I feel that this place could be SO much better. It looks like someone just had a bunch of stuff that they wanted to display. There's no flow. Drinks are pricey compared to their neighbors, especially even for a beer. Very disappointed. Was hoping this might be a good replacement for Insert Coin when it was around. Their website claims to have pool tables, they don't. Their website doesn't have any information or pictures, only their address, booking information and the ability to contact them. read more

Awful awful place!! The male bartender know nothing unless you explain drinks to him. Hire people who are willing to work with your clientele. Super smash tournament started at Almost 11 and homegirls didn't give me my drink till I shutdown. Bartenders are rude. Like excuse me you asked me how to make a simple shot. The bartenders are useless and on their phones being smug at everyone. The blond bartender was the only girl with a nice attitude. read more

Saw some cool videos of this place and thought we would take my sister for her 21st. Cover charge of $5 a person and then we were given these cards for "buy one get one drink free" we go in and it's pretty dead for a Friday night. The place is really dirty and run down, a lot of games were broken. The staff were EXTREMELY rude. We went to the bar and gave the bartender the cards we were given for the drinks, she was super rude and said she would not honor them for us. After paying for the drinks, (that tasted like trash) we walked around the inside and decided it was super lame and a waste of our time and money. It has such high potential to be a cool place but with shitty bartenders and staff and a really dirty/grimey establishment, I recommend to take your business elsewhere. read more

The name of the bar says it all. If you like all things nerdy, then you'd probably like this spot. I feel like this place needs something like Bar Rescue because they have a dope idea, but it's poorly executed. Overall, I like the concept. I can see the potential for this place to be better despite everything they had to offer in terms of entertainment, but you kinda lose interest after a short while. One thing that sets them apart from your typical barcade is that all the games are free. The bartenders weren't very engaging. With a concept like this, if the entertainment gets boring after a while, at least have someone behind the bar that actually makes people want to stay longer. I admit they had some cool stuff there like the UFC Octagon that doubled as a dance floor, but the music isn't even anything you can dance to. It would probably be utilized more if they used it to host a Fight Club instead, to be honest. read more

The Nerd is my favorite bar in the city. I've been here a few times and I always want to come back. The lime is never too long, the vibe is great and the service is on point. You can play whatever music you want and they have plenty of fun games om deck. Don't forget to check out their awesome signature cocktails. I recommend the Baby Yoda! read more

I've been here a few times. It's not great. They say it's for "nerds" but it's more for hipsters and creeps. The drinks are over-priced, watered down and the console games are in horrible disrepair. Last time I went the place was dead and they wanted us to pay $5 to go in? I can say I'll never go back, and if they try to charge you to go in, don't, the place isn't worth it. read more

Friends and I stopped in during a visit to Vegas. The bartender asking for our ID on the way in was so rude to us that we walked out. Her tone and approach weren't friendly and she was the sole reason we left. Bar looked fairly cool, but we appreciate kindness here. read more

There is a dance floor with plenty to space for you to shake a tail feather, and as I can recall, there are three or more bars inside as well. Service was great. We were greeted as soon as we got to the Venue, and at each bar that my friend visited. Thankfully, parking for Brooklyn Bowl was validated inside of the retail store that inside of the Brooklyn Bowl, itself. With that validation, parking was free. Originally when I first started coming here, parking was a huge issue on my mind and it definitely made me come here less, before I discovered that you could get parking validated at the little shop before you leave and that was a total game changer. The venue itself is pretty massive once you get on the main floor, and if you don't feel like standing during bands you don't care for, you can even chill on some nice chairs and watch on TV screens. Now, I can't actually comment on the bowling or food aspect of this place, but you can bowl for an insane amount of money that is definitely not worth it, as well as order some food which I simply never bothered to do. Throughout the years I've seen artists such as Poppy, The Gaslight Anthem, The Ghost Inside, Hatebreed, and many others and the sound here has always been pretty top notch. I no longer call Las Vegas home, but shows are one of the things I would definitely find myself back for so who knows, I might just return here one day and I look forward to that. Overall, Brooklyn Bowl is a great venue in a cool spot right on the Lynq Promenade. The staff here has always been friendly, parking is plentiful, there's tons of food options, and since it's mostly either here or the House of Blues, most music fans will end up here at some point!

We played 4 different games in that time and didn't feel like we had to rush. The only issue I had was with the service. The server had come over right as we sat down and asked if we wanted to order something. My husband had gone to the bathroom and hadn't had a chance to take a look at the menu so I said we'd need some time. The server never came back until we had to flag her down which took a while before she even came back to our area of bays. I ordered a blueberry lemon drop which was really tasty. Although it was warm and sunny, the bays were all shaded and we had plenty of breeze and cooler air from fans so it was comfortable while we played.

The best thing about this bar is it's a place you can go and be yourself. The Nerd is a "nerd bar" off of Fremont Street. It's a nice change of pace from the 'typical' Vegas clubs and rowdy bar scene. At the Nerd it's cosplay night every night and if you wear a costume you get a $1 discount on your drink. The bartenders dress in different costumes and onesies each night and on the weekends they have themed costumes. The bartenders are all veteran bartenders and if you ask Martha or Jay for a special mixed drink they can make you something worth coming down to Fremont for. The Nerd has free bowling and video games if you buy a drink. Which is cool because you won't find free Bowling anywhere downtown. They also have arcade games so bring your quarters! If you are into Funko pops you can win pops in one of the games and they have a huge variety of pops and Pokémon stuff for sale also. They even have pops that are autographed! The Nerd is different because they always have special edition liquors and beer on tap. Try a Game of Thrones Beer when you go. My favorite mix drink is a "Blue Meth" themed after the tv show Breaking Bad. The Nerd also has tv and movie memorabilia for sale which is super cool to see stuff displayed from your favorite movies and tv shows. It's also a great place to take pics with your friends because of the decor of the bar with cool couches, chairs and even a lifesize Pumpkinhead! On the weekends they have events with celebrity guests. I've met actors I never thought I would meet in real life that are just hanging out at The Nerd Bar. This bar is a safe place for everyone. Believe all the one star reviews. Anything more than one star is a lie. This place is shit. Thats the only way to describe it. The owner is a piece of shit. He doesn't care about the customers. Has people working for him that are known abusers. Alcohol has always been overpriced and disgusting. They only get people in now with a mechanical penis for women to ride. There are numerous fire code violations. If you don't have a vagina you're getting treated like you don't matter. The owner doesn't even read the reviews for this place and the only response you'll get from him about negative feedback is go somewhere else because he doesn't want your business. Half the games don't work. 2 of the bowling lanes are storage areas and this is clear to everyone instead of using the actual storage room. There used to be an amazing pool hall here that got removed for a comic book and collectibles store that is now just an empty room with a black curtain covering the entrance. There is so much clutter here its unappealing and appalling. The business violates rights such as the right open or conceal carry and they don't care even though you can throw axes at a bar below them that they also collab with. Bartenders are rude customer service is a joke since there apparently isn't any. Don't waste your time with this worthless, run down, dump of a bar that cant find its identity because of the way its run......or not run. The nerd more like the poser these people seem to be under the assumption that putting a couple of comics on the wall and dressing your employees up like Marty McFly's dad automatically makes you a nerd it doesn't this is the most Shameless cultural appropriation of nerd culture I have ever seen and it is offencive at worst and a quick meaningless cash grab at best when I go to a nerd bar I expect to be surrounded by fellow nerds not Calvin Klein models in button up shirts with fake glasses the very existence of this place disgusts me. I recently visited the Nerd Bar and while I loved the geeky decor and atmosphere, I was a bit disappointed with certain aspects of my experience. The layout and design of the bar were fantastic, with walls adorned with art, action figures, and comic book pages and drinks named after beloved characters. As someone who loves all things nerdy, I was in heaven. The bar staff was great and made good drinks quickly, but the bar itself was fairly empty. Additionally, my experience was soured by the behavior of Nelson, a staff member at the adjacent bowling alley. He was unnecessarily rude to me when I asked for assistance with my lane and made me feel unwelcome. The bar itself was okay but there was this weird little hobbit gremlin guy named Nelson working in the bowling alley. My friends and I wanted to bowl... big mistake. He asked my shoe size, which I thought was like standard because they like make you rent shoes or whatever right? Wrong. It started with the shoe size but then he just wouldn't stop talking about my feet. He asked me to change into those shoes in front of him, asked to see my feet. It was so weird and uncomfortable. He just didn't stop. Nelson ended up cornering me in the bathroom and asked to suck my toes. He offered me a free game of bowling in exchange for it. I was a bit nervous about going here after reading the reviews but i'm really glad i decided to see for myself what this place was about. everyone was really friendly and it didn't take very long to get drinks either. even though they were pretty full for the star wars party. My friends and i had a great time. There's a lot of stuff to do like pool tables, bowling and smash brothers. There's also a dance floor with gogo dancers which was a lot of fun. Free Pool and Video games need I say more!! Drinks are reasonable and loved the theme of the bar, service could be a bit quicker but this place hasnt been open that long. Ill be back in Vegas this time next year and would love to see how this place progresses read more

First timer and it's really cool here! We ended up coming on free bowling night and we all bought really good drinks! Highly recommend the Kirby and the two bartenders, Vanessa 2 and Lizzie 2, were so nice and super great! The vibes they gave off were awesome! read more

If you complain about being sexually harassed and touched by other patrons, the security will also sexually harass you. All of my friends refuse to go here because staff is rude, and all of my female friends have been sexually harassed here. Go elsewhere. read more
