    churro latte
    Denise M.

Came here at 8am on Saturday, staff was really friendly and welcoming! Greeted as soon as we came in and provided a menu and instructed us how to order. I got a churro latte which i loved and the foam was very yummy. It was on the sweeter side so wouldn't recommend if you don't like sweet. We ordered the breakfast sandwiches which are big portions, even the kids on was a lot. The pastries all look beautiful we were too full to eat all the ones we ordered but the concha was really soft inside and not too sweet.

I love this place. It was recommended by a friend. There's lot of seating and sunshine. Ordering was fast. If you eat there you get a number. Orders arrived to tables fast Al well. Great service. They keep it clean. We got tons of pastries. Everything was delicious. Nothing was dry. Highly recommend. Want to try all their lunch foods next time and not just the pastries.

Finally had the opportunity to walk over and get me a sweet treat. It was super busy but it is a Saturday. We were greeted by staff and offered a menu. We went down the line which moved quickly. There's plenty of seating inside and out but it was full. I ordered me a churro croissant cinnamon roll and peineta. I everything looked tasty. I did think the cinnamon roll was not dense or super dry. The peineta was nice and soft plus chocolaty. Definitely will be back for more. This not like the west side Panadería so don't expect that. This place has the foundation and elevated the flavors. In my opinion prices are reasonable for the quality of what you're getting.

As a local, I've never made too much of an effort to come here since I feel like so many locals see this place as a tourist attraction. I also can never justify spending so much money on pan dulce but I will say their pan dulce does look elevated compared to your local panaderia in the city. However my husband and I came in for lunch and were so impressed with how delicious our tortas were! My husband got the Mexican Cubana torta on Birote and I had the La Vegetariana torta on a croissant. For our side we each got the Cesar salad which had a Mexican twist to it in terms of the dressing. Each of us really liked our tortas, with each bite we kept commenting on how surprised we were at how good the food was. We had each been here before years and years ago but didn't remember the food being as delicious as it was. My only gripe is that my sandwich was so messy but I think trying my torta on a different bread would've fixed that. The service was decent, when you work at a popular restaurant on a weekend I'm sure by the time you get to lunch after the breakfast rush everyone is tired and that seemed to be the case here. A lot of the sodas were out of syrup also, but again, this was on a Sunday after the breakfast rush so these things happen. Overall we'd love to come back, it's silly that we steered away from here for so long!

I was in the area and wanted some of their delicious conchas. I didn't stop by for food, just for the baked goods. They had a seasonal concha with Ferrero Rocher filling. Of course I had to get that one. It was large and definitely shareable. I also got a mini concha vanilla flavored. They have a lot of pastries to choose from, but you can never go wrong with a concha. The restaurant is big enough with plenty of a seating if you do want to eat there. They also have parking available. The staff we encountered were nice.

    Hawaiiana torta with noodle soup

La Panaderia Bakery is a staple in the San Antonio breakfast arena. The lines here are long but people are thrilled to be eating their tasty treats. Hikers, families, bikes and couples are all enjoying a chill Sunday breakfast today. The pasteries are beautiful and packed with great flavor. We could not resist the blueberry croissant. It did not disappoint. An El Favorite selection with chorizo and eggs was served on a spiral croissant. The chorizo was very mild. The Hawaiiana torta had grilled pineapple, Swiss cheese, cilantro mayo, chipolte mustard, pickled jalapeno, and smoked pork loin. The torta was good, very filling and not lacking in the flavor department. This was our second visit to LA Panaderia and it did not disappoint. The food is good, hot and tasty. The favorites and tortas can be heavy if fully consumed. La Panaderia is a great introduction into Mexican pasteries. A breakfast excursion to LA Panaderia in San Antonio is well worth the trip.

This is a different location to the one we usually go to. The wait wasn't very long and even though the parking lot was packed it wasn't a long wait to get in or order. The employees are nice and the food was great. Honestly, the frosted doors of the bathroom were super odd! I know people outside can't see in, but I also don't want to see the silhouette of the person outside waiting to come in. It was just a no for me. There is also no where to hang your purse and I definitely didn't want to put it on the dirty floor or the wet counters. Overall it's a good location with odd restrooms.

Consistency is key here and it's what keeps me coming back to every La Panadería location! Every time I visit the food is always on point with flavor and presentation. This is my favorite item, bacon and egg torta on birote bread with black beans. Please try this if you haven't! The bread is amazing and perfectly executed! The food came out fast and the employees are always so nice making it a great experience! The ambience is very fast paced but quite enough to enjoy a nice meal with a friend or family member! Definitely bring your out of town people here if they haven't been.

    Caesar salad as a side

I stopped by for a rushed lunch, but got to see see the beautiful interior and interact with the staff. The barista was very kind and suggested some of her favorite items on the menu. The dirty chai was phenomenal!! They are also very accommodating, offering many different non-dairy milk options. The chorizo could have had a bit more spice, but the actual croissant was incredible! The Caesar salad was also really good with a flavorful dressing. I can't wait to come back to try some if their bakery items!

Decides to try dinner for the 1st time. Loved it! Will say I had the carnitas with the Cole salw on the side. Loved the bread .. soft but yet thick enough to stand up and stay together through the ancho bbq sauce. The banana torte was so delish!!!

Veggie sandwich, cafecito, and pan dulce, oh my!

One of my favorite sandwiches in SA is La Panadería's vegetarian on birote bread with a side of black beans and cafecito. They have a great selection of pan dulce as well. The only warning is limited of parking due to the popularity.

Stopped in for lunch and was impressed by the variety on the menu. I ordered the turkey torta with a Caesar salad. The sandwich was decent, though I think I would choose a different bread next time. The Caesar dressing had a bit of a spicy kick, so I was glad it was served on the side. Their pastries looked absolutely delicious--unfortunately I didn't try any this time, but that will definitely be my pick on my next visit.

Excellent food! Excellent service! Excellent ambiance with music to fall in love to! I want to keep this our best kept secret but can't everything is too awesome! From the sweets to the meat! The food speaks for itself. Today I choose the Alamo burger for my hubby and I got the Carnitas torta with the Cesar salad. And I know it's going to be a delight. We've eaten here and never had any problems!

The Pearl's beautiful mix of historic architecture and modern design creates the perfect backdrop, and there's no better spot to grab a table, sip a coffee, and enjoy some of the best people-watching in the city. The food never disappoints. The Quiche Lorraine is consistently outstanding! Rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned, with a buttery, flaky crust that somehow manages to be both delicate and substantial. And then there are the macarons. Bakery Lorraine has one of the best selections around, with flavors that range from timeless classics to fun seasonal creations. Each one has that perfect crisp shell with a soft, chewy center, and every flavor tastes intentional rather than overly sweet.

All of the bakery items looked so tempting, but I ended up trying three macarons. They were very good. The filling was more of a light cream, which I actually enjoyed more than a typical jammy filling. The Earl Grey flavor was my favorite! I also had their matcha latte, which was pretty much a standard matcha with agave. The only downside is that food items are a bit on the pricey side, and they're definitely best eaten fresh because the croissant can get hard. Still, a lovely spot to check out if you're in the area!
