I can tell you adding a little of everything smothered with a little bbq sauce is the perfect match. The tortillas were like little crisps. The cheeses were cut thicker though so you can mix and match make your own. I absolutely loved the style of the exchange hall too because if you wanted to grab a little bit from different places or get different dishes you could and share all the bites. I grabbed the watermelon juice (sandia fresca) from another spot and boy did it hit the spot!

The energy was great, people were watching, cheering, and enjoying the moment. But with record-breaking heat outside, I was surprised to learn that refilling a cup with water was apparently not allowed unless you paid for it. While I was simply trying to get some water, security started yelling, "You can't do that! You can't do that!" At first, I honestly didn't even realize he was talking to me -- because in my mind, I was just doing the most basic human survival activity: getting water. Then came the plot twist: "YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR WATER HERE!" And just like that, the World Cup became the Water Cup -- available for purchase only. All jokes aside, it was disappointing. Water, especially on a hot day and in a public-facing establishment, feels like something that should be offered with a little more kindness and humanity. If you're visiting from another country and had a similar experience, I'm truly sorry. Please know this isn't everyone here. There are many good people in this country who would gladly offer you a glass of water for free -- and probably ask if you needed ice, too.

A few restaurants even stand out front handing out samples. I tried samples from the Sarku Japanese and also the Cajun Cafe. I definitely preferred Saku's samples over the Cajun Cafe's, but that's just my taste! After the samples I was thirsty, so I went to Sonic and got a Strawberry Limeade (my go-to there) to quench my thirst. As usual, it was delicious! Overall, it's nice that the mall is able to provide so many choices. It is also nice that when you are there with people with diffing tastes, everyone can get their own thing and be happy! In the past I've been especially critical of this one. However, today I needed something to take home and not judging from the past( haven't been here in years) I decided to give them a chance and look around. All the usual suspects and none especially appealing. Then I spotted Sbarro. Now,in the past I've been a big fan of Sbarro. But,a few years ago they started a slow decline that coincided with my mall visits, few. There offerings looked fresh so I've decided to give them a try.... The food court? Typical of most malls but hey it's America and look at all the choices. So I have to say if you're at Stonebriar Mall Frisco Texas... Go!

Second floor is mostly seating and a couple bars. Third floor mostly bars and some seating. While waiting for my party to arrive I sat at the second floor bar, Heaven Hill, and ordered a couple cocktails. The bar tender, a pleasantly upbeat woman, educated me on the various food options as well as some of their favored cocktails. I had a raspberry beret (shoutout Prince) and a Larceny Paloma. The name was just calling me. While the beret was fruity and refreshing, the Paloma had a bite and kick that snuck up on you. I loved it!! As it's a mall of food there was no trying just one lol. We tried the dry rub brisket bar, chef chin's hibachi ramen, chilango's tacos, cotton and snow, and unlawful assembly brewing co. To finish the evening. Brisket with Mac and cheese; burria tacos; tonkotsu ramen; cookies and cream ice cream; and lastly a Moscow Mule to end the evening. The Mac and cheese from the brisket bar was terrible. Runny, and bland. But the brisket was amazing. Seasoned and tender and so moist!!! Tacos were exceptional. Ramen was awesome. Ice cream was ice cream. It wasn't bad, but not eye popping amazing. The mule was delicious. I ended the night stuffed and sleepy!! Great visit!! If you're in the Plano area this is a must!! And there are tons more eateries.

My favorites were the shumai dumplings which had a notable mushroom flavor and the rice rolls which had a silky texture. Honorable mention to the spicy Singapore noodles, crispy BBQ pork and curry beef pockets, and BBQ pork buns. I didn't think the beef balls were anything special and the egg custard had too much pastry and not enough custard which made them taste dry. Overall, it was decent but not as good as real restaurants like Wu Wei Din or Kirin Court. 3.5-stars There's milk tea and bottle water for purchase but no free water option so bring your own.

The food speaks for itself. There aren't many items on the dim sum menu, but every item is nicely made. I like their beef balls, shrimp dumplings, and shrimp+pork dumplings (燒賣). They're all very fresh and tasty. I also like their rice rolls with your choice of fillings, such as fresh or dry shrimp, beef, bbp pork, or egg. The rice rolls are soft and chewy. What I really like about this place is that their steamed dim sum is made to order, so everything comes out hot, juicy, and flavorful. They also have congee 粥 (with thousand-year egg and pork) and beef noodles. Last but not least, I always get their hong kong milk tea. This is the only place I get hk-style milk tea from. I'm from that city. So I know how this iconic beverage tastes :) The staff are nice and friendly. One thing: they don't take credit cards. So bring some cash with you before heading there.
