If you're in McKinney Tx and looking for a Tex-Mex restaurant, look no further than. This family run operation is providing exceptional food and service. I judge tex- Mex restaurants by their enchiladas. My experience rating restaurants by this dish has proven reliable. You can't fake the most basic of Mexican food. These enchiladas were perfectly made, The con-carne and cheese toppings were delicious. The soft cheese taco offering shows they are authentic tex-mex recipes. The chips and salsa were fresh and savory. Make sure to order the at your table made fresh guacamole ( very entertaining). The cup of queso is a good appetizer too. The fajitas combo is off the chart . The MIA comes with two enchiladas two different toppings, crispy beef taco, rice , and beans. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good atmosphere inside and nice patio area outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bar is separate and attended by knowledgeable bar tender. The server, wait staff, chef, and manager are the best team I've had in years! Overall this establishment rates in the top 10 Percentile Don't wait too long to dine here yourself See you there soon .

Great upscale Latin cuisine feel. Service was friendly, skinny margarita was beautiful and delicious. Salsa has some kick but very good and chips are thicker style. Chicken fajitas were amazing. We also had shredded chicken burritos ranchera sauce was scrumptious (on the side) with rice and beans and highly recommend that as well.

My first visit was recent, when I attended a small and intimate baby shower dinner here. I was immediately greeted by the hostess and shown to the table. Even though I was the first of 10 to arrive, I was quickly asked what I'd like to drink and within moments of sitting down the table was set with chips and salsa (everyone got their own!). Our waitress did a great job. She was patient as we all decided what we wanted, attended to a guest who arrived late and was great about providing each of us separate checks. Our drinks were all kept full, they never even reached empty. Everyone ordered something different and everything looked really good. The portions were decent, none of us were left hungry. I chose the Fish Tacos (Del Mar portion). The fish was cooked very well and the cabbage was seasoned well. The aioli was sparse so I ended up pulling out most of the cabbage to actually taste it. The rice was prepared well and tasted good too. I didn't try the beans, although they looked good. For $14.95 I was pleased. If an Anamia's opened near me I'd definitely go, but wouldn't drive 25min like I did for this visit.

I came for lunch with some friends and left stuffed. I love that they give everyone their own salsa bowl so that anyone that needs to double dip can do so. They have a good selection of plates on their lunch menu so there's a variety to choose from. The rice and beans are flavorful and compliment the dishes well. Staff is friendly but could be a bit more attentive in my opinion. Good place for food, casual setting, and good for groups.

Dined in with my wife. We had been on a search for good TexMex. There were good signs as we dined here on a Friday night. First there was a decent crowd signaling this is a popular place. The chips and salsa were solid. Their corn tortillas were above average and the salsa had just the right flavor with just the right amount of kick. I had the Denny Ray which was a 3 enchilada variety plate. I loved the variety and thought the food was solid. If I were to compare this to restaurants in San Antonio I probably would have went with a three. The Dallas area has been lame for good Mexican food hence the 4 star rating. We will definitely be back.

Came here for lunch on Nov 23rd. Saw at least 8 people working standing around in the bar area. Our server hardly spoke 3 words to us so luckily nothing was wrong with our food. We had to ask for our check once we were done. The place is nice and clean with a great vibe.

Food is tasty. Margaritas are better than most - not as good as Mi Dia, Neon Cactus, or El Rincon in my opinion.

He greeted us when we first came in, seated us, waited on us - very kind, communicative! We had chips & queso, Izri brought some great fruit out (delicious), & I had brunch chilaquiles (YUM)! Then Izri brought a sopapilla that I brought home to my husband (he loved it, instantly said he wanted more) Chep's had many great different options, some you might see at other restaurants - but you can tell Chepa's options are slightly different (better)... excited to come back and try spinach & chicken enchiladas and tres leches!! The food as a Mexican was amazing especially when you know different regions from Mexico and you know each regions have their flavors and staples. It has been a pleasure for my palate to enjoy those flavor again. We always like asking about the background and origins of the restaurants we visit and we always note and comparare details. The flavors just to reiterate.... Awesome! Atmosphere and service totally outstanding, today was our second time and the person even apologized for us not getting the same booth, we were like what??? You remember that and us? Well we are sold and we found the new place for us to invite friend and have family celebrations! Maybe I can not give a Michelin Star but for sure a "Miguelin" star! Thank you all! Jeziel, Isri, Eli, Charlie , Rolando, we do not know all the names yet but we will acknowledge every one properly and please know that little things come a long way and make a difference!!!! Addendum- for some reason my original post did not post when intended but now that I can, still going there and love it still!!! We have had family gatherings, great moments to celebrate and even when lows, we still found this place an amazing place to be. In all honesty, we feel like they are family, almost like the show Cheers... "sometimes you want to go where every body knows your name". It has been for us a great balance of consistency all around, service, the food, the drinks, even if prices went up (given the economy right now), we know it will be great! Even during these times they have never tried to cut corners or even increase prices!! We love you guys and will continue supporting our local businesses!!
