I just love this pizza place. I never been disappointed. We did takeout we ordered the Antipasto it was amazing plenty of meat , cheese and olives made fresh to order. We also ordered the pizza special for that day shrimp piccata wow it was a hit very tasty and plenty of shrimp . The service was friendly and quick . The atmosphere is just one large room with lots of tables something you would expect for a pizza place. My suggestion is definitely try the pizza but also ask about the daily specials. We order a margarita pizza and it was terrible. The sauce ran right off making it hard to pick up and eat.

9.22.23 While I wanted to love this place i unfortunately did not. They come reccomended to me from a few people but they did disappoint on my visits. I did try them a few times just to make sure but it didn't get any better for me. While the service was friendly and hospitable every time I went the food lacked in my opinion. I have to try a meatball parm grinder to help me judge whether or not I'll try anything else. The meatballs were bland, basic and lacked flavor, imo. They had a lot of filler with the bread crumbs. The sauce was decent and the bread did have a nice light toast on it. Again, imo this restaurant didn't deliver for me on my visits. Clean restaurant. Parking is fine. Average prices. They're located extremely close to a Cumberland Farms which is right next door. I tried eating in a couple times and got to go a couple more times. I thought their pizza lacked flavor also. I think this is one of the best pizza places in wolcott. There's only maybe 2 others that are up there with them. It's cheesy flavor goodness. I haven't ventured off on the menu other than wings to compare with the other reviews but the wings weren't to bad. Not all that spicy if you get buffalo but they were good. If we ask them not to over char the pizza it's better I think. Sometimes the service could be better, but it's hit or miss. I still would rate them at the top for the town either way! read more

The quality of the food was exceptional. The ingredients are fresh and you leave well fed BUT is far overpriced for the modest location. This dinner which included (not pictured), a small tossed salad, a Caesar salad and wings as an appetizer cost over $150.00. We love this pizza and yet what we get is as good as it gets, and then its not so good. The white Marguerite is the best my wife has had, except when we get it burnt, oily and over garlicky!. I enjoy calling in, having them yell back to get a time and then delivering at that time. The front staff are great and I like grabbing a soup and bread. I always get wings and they are always good! We will go back but this should be a 4 star review if not for the inconsistent over cooking pizza issue. So much so we are ordering elsewhere tonight for a meatless pie. read more

New Haven pizza all the way in Wolcott?! Yup!! It's no Sally's or Frank Pepe's but it sure can be categorized as New Haven style pizza! Thin crust and cooked in a brick oven. It was simple to order online for pick-up and the prices are not New Haven pizza prices. $17.50 for a large pie with two toppings. Worth a mention... the bacon was fully cooked and crispy. Wow! Very rarely have I gotten bacon that was fully cooked on a pizza. In fact, I normally won't order bacon on pizza because of this. Also, the crust and cheese were delicious. I did not eat the half that included onion. At dinner time it takes 45 min for your order to be prepared but this is something you know from the moment you place the order. Oh boy! I recently moved from Fairfield County Connecticut to Hartford County, specifically Bristol. I have been looking for a really good pizza joint, I grew up eating great pizza from New Haven to Bridgeport, unfortunately being in Bristol for 6 months I have been disappointed time after time. Well that has ended today! The New Haven Pizza Company in Wolcott is EXCELLENT! Just a beautiful 6 mile drive away. Whenever I try a new place my eyes are always bigger then my stomach and I get excited and really want to try everything on the menu lol. But for my first visit I got a large cheese pizza, half bacon half meatball...I love this pizza! Crust was crisp, sauce is flavorful, plenty of toppings, great mozzarella cheese. Fried mozzarella was incredible...2 big triangles of cheese covered in marinara sauce, this delicious and I will order often. Finally I got a chicken parm on a hard roll...Excellent! Not many places have a choice of a hard roll or grinder roll, I had to get a hard roll because when I worked in New Haven I got that for lunch almost everyday. Will get this again. Unfortunately I didn't see any deserts on the menu otherwise I would have gotten something sweet. Trust me when I tell you if you like New Haven style pizza or NY style pizza, you will love this place. Thank goodness I don't live next door to this place or I'd weigh 500 pounds. Enjoy! read more

Looking for a brick oven pizza in the area and found this restaurant. It was okay. I did take-out. Service was good, the counter help was super friendly... the pizza was as described. Ordered plain cheese and margarita. Crust was good on plain but very soggy on the 2nd one... almost too much fresh basil sauce(like a pesto) should have asked for it well done...I dunno. I personally think there's a notable difference between this place and actual New Haven style pizza, but nonetheless it's good pizza. It's funny because I've had pizza from here multiple times before and never really loved it, but I had it again last night after not having it in years and thought it was much better than usual. It's thinner than your average pizza and the sauce is sweet (but not overly so like it used to be). Really loved the white pizzas too - they were so flavorful. The pizzas all have a perfect cheese to dough ratio, which is highly important for a pizza. I thought the sausage pizza had a bit too much sausage, and would have preferred fewer, larger pieces, but it was delicious sausage anyway. Very disappointed I ordered a Caesar Salad and asked to add Grilled Shrimp, When I picked up my order the shrimp was NOT grilled ! it was sautéed with butter&seasoning. Wolcott is loaded with pizza places and what you like for a style of pizza is completely opinion based. New Haven pizza has great tasting pizza with some unique options but honestly in my opinion, they succeed in their dinner menu choices. One of my favorite chicken dishes at any restaurant is New Haven Pizza's Chicken Peppernara which features sweet/hot cherry peppers in the dish. It is so good and rich with flavor and heat that it imprints on my mind for a good few days. I have almost always defaulted to that menu item when we visit. I've also had their Chicken Parmigana which is done well too but pails in comparison to the Chicken Peppernara. This place has a small seated dining area (that I've dined in before) so I would definetly consider them more of a takeout location than a dining in option. Prior to COVID in the warm months their front entrance would be open from the parking lot for the smells to sneak out and fill your nose while your across the street getting gas. All in all, dont cut them short on their name sake alone. Try their dinner dishes as well and you will pleasantly surprised. read more

Our take out orders are chronically wrong and often we have to wait much longer for take-out order, then the time they told us. While they have tried to correct the problems, I'm unwilling to wait another 30-40 minutes for the other 1/2 of my order. DON'T go to this place if you expect your order to be correct or are on a time crunch. So sad because we love the quality of the food, just can't take the 80% error margin. Old Review: Consistently fresh! Just be prepared for an hour wait for pizza on a Friday or Saturday night. But well worth the wait. They have some great classic Italian entrees, too. Ordered a couple of grinders tonight along with a Caesar salad for take-out. My meatball grinder was very good, BUT my gf's eggplant grinder was totally grease saturated. I was willing to trade grinders with her until I tasted it -- was hideous ! The thing was so incredibility bad that I hopped back into my car and drove the 3 miles back to NH Pizza for a refund. They did apologize and refunded my money for the eggplant grinder. As for the Caesar salad, was nothing really special. While typically when pizza is involved, my family & friends circle doesnt have to go outside of old-school Waterbury, I heard a friend from town raving about the baked stuff shrimp pizza. Personally am not one for the new combinations like hawaiianpineapple or mashed pot's on pizza type, BUT, WARNING: this baked stuffed shrimp pizza is highly addictive. I first ordered over a year ago & initially they were using the mini shrimp which tasted fine but texturally didnt make sense. it came off as mushy. at some point, dont know exactly when, they switched to the larger shrimp, and it literally could not be more perfect. it HAS become our go-to pizza for special events: visitors from out-of-town, parties, birthdays, etc. I ACTUALLY HAVE a friend that comes up from New Haven to Wolcott to get this pizza. Last night was a tour de force of this pizza. the fresh lemon to the dough & crust was moanworthy! the shrimp, plump & succulent, not dry.then the oo-ing & ah-ing! sounds riciculous, but true! One of the reasons it remains in the special event category & not weekly is the cost which actually is fair for what you're getting but cost prohibitive to my budget. a small is about $23/24. However our way to get around that is by having something to celebrate every.single.week. not that it happens often but if there is anything leftover, it reheats well & doesn't lose its classic recipe goodness when reheated or eaten cold for breakfast next day. even the stupendous texture & taste of the crust will make you relive the glory of the night before. read more

When New Haven Pizza had it's original owners, the food & service was superb!! Unfortunately, the new owners are failing. The food isn't consistently good. Today (Sunday), for instance, I ordered a pizza for take-out. The girl who took the order said "ready in 40 mins" I arrived on the 40 min mark, I had to wait almost another 20mins in lobby/sidewalk outside the door! Also, the weekend staff are slackers. Young teenage workers who spend their time bs'ing. They bs behind the wall of empty pizza boxes they stack high to the ceiling so you can't see them "working".... the original owners did not do that. The pizza is not bad but not great. With so many great pizza places around they are a B as pizza goes. The problem really isn't the food though it's the time it takes for B food. They always tell you a time and then add more when you get there to pick it up. Even had it happen during the week. Waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for our order. It was wrong. They barely apologized. The one meal that wasn't wrong out of three sat and got cold and mushy. We get home and find we are missing two salads, dressing and bread. I call and the response "you can come get it" well no thank you, instead of offering your weekly customers a credit or gift card, she says well I don't know what you want me to do then.
