Ordered a martini requested fruity, I believe it was raspberry not sure and a dark red for my friend. We sat in some cozy velvet purple chairs in the lounge area enjoying live Jazz music. My friend recalls this was a downstairs dining area for Burger King in the 80's-early 90's. The bar and Bath Room could be a bit tidier, but otherwise fun retro vibe. There is an historical piston machine on display that was used to run the building's original elevator utilizing steam! And now serves as decor and remanence of past decades.

At first didn't think it was anything special, until more people arrived and ordered their food. I took a look at the menu, and I could see why locals would return. Ordered Sal's Special Burger with deep fried cheese curds, Sal's sassy sauce, and coleslaw on a kaiser roll. How could I go wrong with that? Well, I didn't. In fact it was fantastic. The potato wedges were fried just right, not overdone, or underdone as many establishments struggle with, and the burger was much bigger, juicier and tastier, than expected. This place reminded me of Lark Street Tavern. The food is typical bar food, but the food is not typical, instead, much better than typical. See photo.
