My friend and I met for drinks on a mid Thursday afternoon. No wait for seats at the bar. My friend had a bubbly Rose' and I had a little Kim. It is a wheat beer, crisp, with citrus and light hoppy taste. Perfect for summer! My friend loves the bubbly rose'. I do recommend buying it by the bottle her three glasses at $16 per glass are more. The gentleman tending bar and tables was very friendly and informative engaging in conversation. It was a hot afternoon but was nice and cool inside, though many guest sat on patio. I had the Chicken Chipotle wrap. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Upgraded from chips to fries, that were hot and well seasoned. They are known for Detroit Style Pizza and their wings. This spot is a great addition to the Syracuse area. Their beer is super tasty. It is a nice brew pub ambiance. Service was friendly and attentive. I only wish I tried their pizza because it looks divine but the wings I had were truly delicious. I love that they come with celery and blue cheese without an additional charge. They started doing pasta nights on Mondays and I think I need to take another trip out because the photos they posted make the food look truly appetizing. read more

Aurora Brewing Co.'s Syracuse taproom has taken over the space at 620 Ulster St. previously occupied by by Now & Later, a bar and bottle shop that relocated to downtown Syracuse. But this is not your typical Tipp Hill Irish pub: It's a taproom for a craft brewery based in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Aurora Brewing's new taproom offers a dozen of its own beers on tap, plus bottled beers. The beer list ranges from lagers to hoppy pale ales, along with stouts, fruit beers, sours and more. Aurora also has ciders, seltzers and ready-to-drink cocktails. It has a cooler stocked with packaged beer to go. The food menu includes burgers, wings, sandwiches and Detroit-style pizzas which they refer to as "Shea Deep-Dish" style. We recently met up with some friends for dinner at Aurora. I do not drink at all, so my review is mainly for everything else, but the 3 people I was with all drink and enjoyed the offerings. We arrived at 5PM on a Saturday, and while all the outdoor seating was taken, there were several tables inside that were open. My wife and I ordered a pepperoni "shea deep dish" style pizza and an order of their smoked chicken wings with their "house mix" sauce, which is a combination of Country Sweet & Buffalo. Our friends also ordered a pizza. Our food came surprisingly quickly and everything was very good. The wings were large and had a great smoke flavor, and the house mix sauce was tasty, although a little heavier on the sweet side than the buffalo side. The pizza was large, heavy on the cheese, and the crispy "burnt" cheese edges were delicious. The food was $28 plus tax and fed us 3 times. Location was nice and clean, employees were friendly. Cute spot, there was some stret parking around. Looked like a house converted into a brewery. It was fairly quiet and the bartender was friendly. They don't do flights so we ordered the Piacere and the Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Wine Nerds. They have a lot of food options as well and we ordered the Smoked Chicken Wing Dip and the Chicken Bacon Wrap. Both drinks were good but the Mama's drinks was very good. Both of the food we ordered were very good. I really liked the chicken dip and it had great flavor. The wrap was well filled and also good. I definitely recommend popping in here. read more

I've been a fan of their Aurora location for a long time and was very excited when they opened a location in Tipp hill. Their beers are good, and they often have a wide variety of options although sometimes the draft list is limited to mostly one category. I really enjoy the food, especially the wedge salad and wings. In my opinion, the pizzas aren't as good as at their Aurora location but I really enjoy the sandwiches. I like that they serve an array of canned drinks as well, including non alcoholic options. The outdoor seating area is a nice dog friendly space, but I'd prefer tables and chairs to the picnic tables they have. Unfortunately, today I had a not so great experience. I had seen the cocktail offerings on instagram and was excited to try them. I asked the bartender about them and she said yes they have cocktails, but that she couldn't make one right now because it was too crazy. The outdoor area was full, but there was only one other person waiting at the bar. If they're going to offer cocktails, I would expect the staff to be willing to make them. Hopefully on our next visit there will be a more enthusiastic employee behind the bar. read more

Stopped by Aurora Brewing Company today and really enjoyed it. The vibe is super laid-back and chill--easy place to hang out without feeling rushed. The breakfast pizza was amazing and honestly worth the visit on its own. They have a solid selection of both draft and canned beers, and the sour I tried was very good--balanced, flavorful, and refreshing. They had Bloody Mary's mimosas on the brunch menu too. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. It does get a bit loud with the TVs on and close quarters, but nothing over the top. Overall, a great spot for good beer, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere. I'll definitely be back. read more

Mom's dinner out landed us at Aurora Brewing Co. on Tipp Hill. I've been to their Aurora/King Ferry location and love the food and drinks there. I was excited that they opened one close by. My husband grew up on Tipp Hill when it was Brilbeck's turned Now & Later (check out their downtown location) and now home to ABCo. The food options were plenty and love that they offer kids menu here as well. Also they offer vegan mozzarella for pizza. I love that there something for everyone. There's plenty of drink options from their local brewed beer, to non alcoholic and basic soda. Once again something for everyone. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. It was a bit loud inside but it'll be better once the weather is warmer and the garage like door can be opened to the patio. Everything we ate was delicious, can't wait to come back to try more items. So lucky to have this close by, we'll still hit up the Aurora location since we have family out that way. Ordered at the Bar. No much room when we walked in on a Monday can only imagine what weekends are like. First choice option wasn't available but with how good the food was it just means we have to come back and try it then. I got a 10 piece house wing. The sauce was a mix of sweet and Buffalo and they were smoked. Hard to describe other than just really good. The smoking fused the sweet and Buffalo perfectly. The lady got the st Patty's smash which had ground corned beef cabbage and 1000 island on a toasted marble rye bread. Got a bite and both of us agreed it was really good. Chips were just normal lays but you can't beat that. $57 for the two of us with meals drinks tax and tip so about 30 average, which was fine we enjoyed it and would come back. read more

Stopped in for lunch during the downtown Syracuse St. Patrick's Day parade. The place was already jam packed, but luckily, we found a table. We would have enjoyed sitting outside but it was quite windy, and we didn't want to have our food blow away. The indoor bar area was extremely loud as soon as we walked in. It was like an assault, and we were kind of stunned. But we decided to do our best to shout at each other across the table. You order at the bar and then they will bring you the food. Drinks are poured while you wait. The beers are always great, and we were impressed with the quality of the food. We'd easily order again. Next time when the weather is more cooperative, we will enjoy a few pints in the sunshine. read more

I've stopped by Aurora Brewing on Tipp Hill a couple of times in the last month. I especially enjoy the hazy IPAs. Although the Fresh to Death are some of my favorites, I have also enjoyed Wading in the Cashmere Sea and Little Fresh. They also have food, pizza and sandwiches. We checked out this little gem for lunch. We had wings & the loaded salt potato appetizers. They were both delicious. Plenty of toppings on the salted potatoes. The bleu cheese is made in house. We shared a Detroit style pepperoni pizza. It was so tasty. It's a deep dish style pizza with cheese around the crust and topped with cup-n-char pepperoni! The service by Rob was excellent. Aurora brewing Tipp Hill is off to a great start! My husband and I are big fans of the original location in King Ferry so we were super excited to see they were opening a location close to home. We went on their opening day and ordered some food and drinks. We arrived around 5pm and it was crowded but we were able to get a seat by the window. For food we got the pretzels and a deep dish cheese pizza. Both were delicious. The ingredients on the pizza tasted very fresh and the crust was nice and crispy. The pizza was a great size for the price. The photo is just 1/3 of it. I liked that they had some different items on their menu than the original location. I cant wait to see what they do going forward. We'll definitely be regulars at Aurora Brewing! read more

With a party of eight, we were accommodated in the newly renovated area, featuring a large television perfect for sports enthusiasts. The menu included a variety of dishes, such as Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Bowl, Breakfast Sandwich, Breakfast Pizza, Berry French Toast, Quiche, mimosas, and bloody Mary's. The food was exceptional, with the Breakfast Bowl being particularly noteworthy for its rich flavor and satisfying portion size, which kept me full for at least six hours.
