I can't believe I didn't know about this beautiful little gem in Niles. It's right off of the main street located off of I Street. Me and my mom went and had some lunch before our hair appointment. Super friendly staff and the food was amazing.

The Nile Cafe is such a homey, cozy spot! I opted for a half sandwich and salad, which I thought was a great portion for a good price! I love brie cheese, so this sandwich was perfect! We got seated very quickly in the garden, and they still checked on us frequently by clearing our plates, checking if we needed water, and asking us if we were enjoying our food. So glad to have found this spot in Niles!

Really solid little cafe. I've frequented it off and on for years and the quality and service have stayed consistently good. Prices here are reasonable and so are the portions. They lean on the smaller side but honestly, I like that. I don't always want a big ol' plate of food from the country way. This is the perfect lunch while you're out walking around the shops. I'm a big fan of the bacon and brie sandwich, also the basil mayo chicken is good too. I've had a few other sandwiches and some breakfast items, everything was good. The inside of the shop is super cute to stop and have a coffee. Also kid friendly, I've brought my 5 year old and got him French toast. Again, it was perfect that it wasn't a huge portion and my son highly enjoyed his food. I'll definitely keep coming back. Couple notes: - I've bought a loaf of their in shop baked bread a few years back. Not sure if they still sell the whole loaf but it was very good. - They used to be cash only but now accept. Venmo or card with a small fee added. - Newest menu photos attached. The selection hasn't changed much over the years but prices have gone up a reasonable amount per inflation.

BREAKFAST WITH QUIET SETTING The first time I came here was last year by accident. I went to another in Niles that had a long wait outside. I walked a couple of blocks away to find The Nile Cafe. I inside I looked at the menu and just ordered one item, which was Niles Au Lait. A year later I came back to The Nile Cafe for coffee and food. This summer I ate here three times. The first time was on a Friday morning. I decided to come that day because I felt coming to The Nile Cafe on Saturday would be too busy. I ordered a pear and fontina omelet. It sounded a unique combination of fruit and cheese in an omelet. The omelet was very light. The one thing that stood out was the homemade toast, which was doughy inside. For coffee I ordered the Nile au Lait. I liked my meal that day (maybe because of the setting) I came back the following day for breakfast. On Saturday there was a farmers' market at one of the parking lots. I wasn't sure If I would be able to find parking. I managed to find parking about a block away from The Nile Cafe. I decided to order two food items: French toast and Niles Special. I had to get the French toast due use of the homemade bread. I tend not to order French toast because it tends to be heavy. Something about the homemade bread from The Nile Cafe made it so addicting. The eggs scramble dish Niles Special is a filling dish of ham, tomatoes, sour cream, and avocado. Since I decided to get French toast for the Niles Special I decided to get hanfries, which are country-style potatoes, instead of toast. For coffee I ordered iced Vietnamese coffee. About a week later on a Sunday morning I came back to The Nile Cafe with my parents. I intended to get the sandwich Niles Mutt, which consisted of pastrami and ham, however for some reason I decided to order the Niles Special again. For the Nile Special I decided to get toast. For coffee I ordered hot Vietnamese coffee. The food is light and delicious at The Nile Cafe. None of the food I ordered stood out in flavor. The Nile Cafe is a nice eatery if you want a quiet meal in the Niles District.

Update: I finally came back to try their food today, had an early dinner yesterday so I woke up pretty Hangry this morning. With the recent rise in inflation I was pleasantly surprised that most of their brekky (breakfast) menu items were under $10, so I ordered their breakfast burrito that included beef/chorizo, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and cheese. I was actually blown away by how much I enjoyed the burrito the chorizo had such a great savory flavor that paired with the eggs and melted cheese such a hearty comfort meal. The ladies working here are still friendly as first time I came to try their viet coffee. Will need to visit again to try other menu items, but I definitely recommend trying the breakfast burrito+ viet coffee if you're here.

never knew there was an old town in Fremont--Niles! Stumbled upon this cozy little café for brunch and fell in love with its family-style vibe and old-school decor--felt like I stepped back into the 1940s. The menu is simple, so I went with French toast and a classic morning breakfast. The food was average, but I have to give a big shoutout to their homemade bread--absolutely loved it! A must-try. They even have a backyard seating area, perfect for a weekend morning meal. Great service, super friendly staff--definitely adding this to my go-to list!

Love Cleopatra and ancient Egyptian history, and absolutely adore Nile's. Was so excited to find this hidden gem on my walk today. I opted for the artichoke salad and brie/bacon sandwich. It was decent and simple. I really appreciate Niles small town charm, and finding a cafe just felt really special.

They made their own bread within this nice little cafe. We were surprised by the price since the interior looks quaint. The backyard garden seats were homey as well. Not too crazy about their coffee but it's a very nice place to be laid back and hang out with friends. The ladies serving us were welcoming.

Walked to niles cafe on a Wednesday. I want to revisit the lunch menu. I got the kale potato soup and Niles Mutt pastrami sandwich. I never knew they had a huge out door space in the back. This is no doubt a local Niles favorite.. and in my book if its loved by the people who live there its worth going to!! If you need to have lunch while visiting this historic town during lunch.. then definitely come here we have quality food at really the best price during times of inflation!!

Been going here for years, the food is always great and the ambiance and staff are even better. This is the first place I show to friends who visit from out of town!

The coffee is ok and the food is average. The woman owner was very impatient and not very nice to her workers.

Something made me think about Katz's Delicatessen in NYC and I suddenly craved a Pastrami sandwich…read more I was excited to find Mirchi nearby and a locally beloved pastrami with interesting ingredients. Location is near the Mirchi cafe on Fremont Blvd in the plaza right next to Wonderland smoke shop. There is plenty of parking. Staff was super nice and helped me open the stuck door that you have to pull really hard on to get in. The market is small but curated and I was drawn to the imported potato chips. I picked up a bag of Lay's Masala chips I haven't had since I was in Mumbai, excited to eat it with my sandwich. The sandwich took about 10 minutes to make and panini-press and smelled delicious. However, when I got home I immediately noticed the color and thought they had mistakenly used roast beef. I looked at some of the other reviews and their doordash image and I'm confused on what I got. The pastrami was missing the distinct reddish-pink color from brining and black bark from smoking, I'm not sure how it was prepped in-house but it tasted like roast beef. I did enjoy the blueberry jam and pepperoncini combo.

Got this place recommended by Grub with Mike so I decided to come give them a try…read more I ordered the mozzarella chicken and grabbed a cold peach soda. They are very nice and welcoming, service was pretty fast too. The sandwich is was warm and it's cooked panini style. The bread was warm and crunchy, filled with halal chicken and some sort of mild spicy red sauce. Overall very tasty, solid 8/10. (The sandwich needs be hotter so that the cheese can actually melt). P.s. get their cilantro cream sauce! It's really good and takes the sandwich up a level. The peach soda was $3+ and worth it. Will definitely be back again :)

Stopped by to pickup some sandwiches for dinner and had an overall decent experience…read more Ordered The Hero and the Santa Maria Tri Tip, both as Sammies on Dutch crunch, along with potato salad and mac salad. First thing that surprised me was the size - it was certainly on the smaller side, especially compared to other sandwich places. Understandably their price is more affordable, but next time I would probably just size up. Flavor-wise, the sandwiches themselves tasted great and I had no complaints there. The issue was the bread. The Dutch crunch was a literal ROCK. On my first bite I actually had to stop and take the sandwich apart just to eat it more comfortably. I thought maybe it was just one, but both sandwiches had the same issue. Dutch crunch is usually a bit firm, but this was on another level. The mac salad and potato salad were solid for what they are, maybe a little more sour than I prefer, but still enjoyable. Huge props to the staff though. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The lady at the counter even apologized for the wait, but it honestly wasn't long at all, under 5 minutes for me. The person packing my order also threw in two chocolate chip cookies, which I really appreciated. Would come back to give it another shot, just hoping the Dutch crunch bread is a bit softer next time.

I had a fair experience at Mr Pickle's Sandwich Shop in Union City!…read more I was there on Saturday afternoon at 5pm. I waited over 20-mins behind a group of four people in line. There were two ladies working behind the counter. One young lady kept saying "sorry for the long wait, I will help you in a moment." I decided to order the Reuben Combo w/ chips and a Reg soda for $19.06. After taxes and a 20% Tip, total was $25.35. Bonus- free cookie. Was it worth it? Maybe. Reuben sandwich was good and filling. It was loaded with a thick slab of meat, lots of kraut, and dressing on marble rye. Good and messy, the way I like it. I think $14.69 is a bit pricey for the size of the sandwich. Add in small chips, fountain drink, and a free cookie. I ate my meal in the dining room. It's a colorful and fun atmosphere. Lots of small tables. There's a counter along the front window. Restroom was very clean. Lots of free parking. No stuffed Mister Pickles doll on display. Would I return? Yes, but I'm just getting the sandwich next time. --------------------------------
