    Unique wall decor

Ordered Bacon and Brie sandwich the bread is soft the bacon and Brie not overwhelming taste and fairly good portion with chips in which I didn't anticipate. Pastrami sandwich is as well good portion. Ambiance is unique with Egyptian mural not really sure the story behind it. Service the ladies were very kind and approachable and surprisingly the crowd started to come in. Nice group of seniors seems to be regulars patrons.

I can't believe I didn't know about this beautiful little gem in Niles. It's right off of the main street located off of I Street. Me and my mom went and had some lunch before our hair appointment. Super friendly staff and the food was amazing.

The Nile Cafe is such a homey, cozy spot! I opted for a half sandwich and salad, which I thought was a great portion for a good price! I love brie cheese, so this sandwich was perfect! We got seated very quickly in the garden, and they still checked on us frequently by clearing our plates, checking if we needed water, and asking us if we were enjoying our food. So glad to have found this spot in Niles!

Really solid little cafe. I've frequented it off and on for years and the quality and service have stayed consistently good. Prices here are reasonable and so are the portions. They lean on the smaller side but honestly, I like that. I don't always want a big ol' plate of food from the country way. This is the perfect lunch while you're out walking around the shops. I'm a big fan of the bacon and brie sandwich, also the basil mayo chicken is good too. I've had a few other sandwiches and some breakfast items, everything was good. The inside of the shop is super cute to stop and have a coffee. Also kid friendly, I've brought my 5 year old and got him French toast. Again, it was perfect that it wasn't a huge portion and my son highly enjoyed his food. I'll definitely keep coming back. Couple notes: - I've bought a loaf of their in shop baked bread a few years back. Not sure if they still sell the whole loaf but it was very good. - They used to be cash only but now accept. Venmo or card with a small fee added. - Newest menu photos attached. The selection hasn't changed much over the years but prices have gone up a reasonable amount per inflation.

BREAKFAST WITH QUIET SETTING The first time I came here was last year by accident. I went to another in Niles that had a long wait outside. I walked a couple of blocks away to find The Nile Cafe. I inside I looked at the menu and just ordered one item, which was Niles Au Lait. A year later I came back to The Nile Cafe for coffee and food. This summer I ate here three times. The first time was on a Friday morning. I decided to come that day because I felt coming to The Nile Cafe on Saturday would be too busy. I ordered a pear and fontina omelet. It sounded a unique combination of fruit and cheese in an omelet. The omelet was very light. The one thing that stood out was the homemade toast, which was doughy inside. For coffee I ordered the Nile au Lait. I liked my meal that day (maybe because of the setting) I came back the following day for breakfast. On Saturday there was a farmers' market at one of the parking lots. I wasn't sure If I would be able to find parking. I managed to find parking about a block away from The Nile Cafe. I decided to order two food items: French toast and Niles Special. I had to get the French toast due use of the homemade bread. I tend not to order French toast because it tends to be heavy. Something about the homemade bread from The Nile Cafe made it so addicting. The eggs scramble dish Niles Special is a filling dish of ham, tomatoes, sour cream, and avocado. Since I decided to get French toast for the Niles Special I decided to get hanfries, which are country-style potatoes, instead of toast. For coffee I ordered iced Vietnamese coffee. About a week later on a Sunday morning I came back to The Nile Cafe with my parents. I intended to get the sandwich Niles Mutt, which consisted of pastrami and ham, however for some reason I decided to order the Niles Special again. For the Nile Special I decided to get toast. For coffee I ordered hot Vietnamese coffee. The food is light and delicious at The Nile Cafe. None of the food I ordered stood out in flavor. The Nile Cafe is a nice eatery if you want a quiet meal in the Niles District.

Update: I finally came back to try their food today, had an early dinner yesterday so I woke up pretty Hangry this morning. With the recent rise in inflation I was pleasantly surprised that most of their brekky (breakfast) menu items were under $10, so I ordered their breakfast burrito that included beef/chorizo, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and cheese. I was actually blown away by how much I enjoyed the burrito the chorizo had such a great savory flavor that paired with the eggs and melted cheese such a hearty comfort meal. The ladies working here are still friendly as first time I came to try their viet coffee. Will need to visit again to try other menu items, but I definitely recommend trying the breakfast burrito+ viet coffee if you're here.

never knew there was an old town in Fremont--Niles! Stumbled upon this cozy little café for brunch and fell in love with its family-style vibe and old-school decor--felt like I stepped back into the 1940s. The menu is simple, so I went with French toast and a classic morning breakfast. The food was average, but I have to give a big shoutout to their homemade bread--absolutely loved it! A must-try. They even have a backyard seating area, perfect for a weekend morning meal. Great service, super friendly staff--definitely adding this to my go-to list!

Love Cleopatra and ancient Egyptian history, and absolutely adore Nile's. Was so excited to find this hidden gem on my walk today. I opted for the artichoke salad and brie/bacon sandwich. It was decent and simple. I really appreciate Niles small town charm, and finding a cafe just felt really special.

They made their own bread within this nice little cafe. We were surprised by the price since the interior looks quaint. The backyard garden seats were homey as well. Not too crazy about their coffee but it's a very nice place to be laid back and hang out with friends. The ladies serving us were welcoming.

Walked to niles cafe on a Wednesday. I want to revisit the lunch menu. I got the kale potato soup and Niles Mutt pastrami sandwich. I never knew they had a huge out door space in the back. This is no doubt a local Niles favorite.. and in my book if its loved by the people who live there its worth going to!! If you need to have lunch while visiting this historic town during lunch.. then definitely come here we have quality food at really the best price during times of inflation!!

Been going here for years, the food is always great and the ambiance and staff are even better. This is the first place I show to friends who visit from out of town!

My boyfriend got the fried chicken steak plate and it was good and a really big portion. I got the spicy chicken melt and it was really good and tasty plus really big portion. If you want to eat at a place that has good quality and a big enough portion to either share or take home for leftovers then this is the place to go. There were some notable things that we stumbled across in our dining experience. I had noticed that one of the utensils wasn't washed properly so there was a dried up piece of vegetable or something stuck on it. Also I requested my burger to be cooked medium but when I received my order, it was more so well done with no pink in the middle. One of the two pork chop was cooked great, while the other was a little dry and chewy. Regardless, these were things that didn't warrant calling over a server. The thing that mainly put a stain for our restaurant outing at Skillet'z was the service. Upon walking in we were not greeted with a friendly welcoming and when seated they quickly walked away. The lady who took our order did not even look like she wanted to be there, granted I understand that nobody really enjoys having to go to work but if you need to interact with customers, maybe this isn't the occupation for you. While we were eating there was not a single time that anyone came up to us to ask us how we were doing, if we needed anything, or how the food was. There was a moment where it was someone's birthday at another table and I don't think I've ever heard a more unenthusiastic and monotone announcement for a birthday and a lame excuse for a birthday song. They're not going to bother with dropping off a check/bill for the meal so you need to go up to the counter to pay for the food. Once you step up to the counter keep in mind that more than likely you will encounter a rude interaction and a feeling that you were inconveniencing them. Overall I'll more than likely eat from here again, primarily for the food. But maybe next time we'll consider just taking out to go.

A staff member greeted me when I came in and let me know I could order at the cash register when I was ready. I ordered a large frozen caramel latte and they made it immediately. It was delicious -- if you like sweet drinks, you will not be disappointed. It was actually almost too sweet for me, and I'm the type to ask for extra caramel in my caramel lattes. The drink was well blended and the large size is 24 oz, so good portion there. The paper menu needs to be updated though, because it listed the drink price as $6.15 but I was charged $6.50. In addition to frozen (frappe) coffee drinks, they have fruit freeze drinks and juices. I was there at lunchtime during a weekday and there were people dining in. Good for large and small groups. Good for kids. Plenty of parking via a shared parking lot with other businesses.

As we have our dog with us all the time and visiting your restaurant for the first time allowed us to have a breakfast date which we haven't been able to do in a while & it was nice to sit down and talk. The staff was incredibly friendly and created a warm, family-oriented atmosphere - I believe we met all of their hosts and even the owner Alex who introduced himself and spoke with us. We truly appreciated being checked on, although the only thing I'd advise is that once your customers get their food and you have asked if everything is OK 1-2 times, to please allow your customers to enjoy the food.. We were approached almost every 2 minutes by different hosts, the owner and another maybe co-owner Fidel - constantly being asked if everything was OK or if we needed more coffee which was asked in total about 8 times (not exaggerating as we were asked by different people lol). We felt as if we were being monitored the entire time and couldn't enjoy our time to eat and talk. Again this is just a feedback & advice to allow your customers to enjoy the food and the company or family they are with. If they are not looking for staff or any help -- Maybe check back every 10 minutes. Otherwise, we appreciate all of your service & kindness, and we will be back soon to try out other dishes from your menu. Thank you!
