[[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is HUGE![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So many menu items, pastries, coffee beans, and even mugs for sale! I got a Caramel Macchiato and it was INSANELY SWEET... like too sweet for me. However, it was a good caffeine kick. The drink took a few 5-10 minutes to come out, but overall nothing crazy. The baristas were really nice! The Ethiopian beans are also a great gift for my mom, and they're really reasonably priced! The staff even offered to grind the whole beans for me. How kind! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Many people study here. So there's many tables inside, but it can be pretty noisy when there's a lot of customers here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

What a treat to have Suju move in when SB moved out. I like this local experience more than previously and their coffee is on par. For serious coffee drinkers, I think this place should please most folks and even the picky ones. Their drinks and food items are reasonably priced and [[HIGHLIGHT]]you'll like the airy atmosphere of the cafe to catch up with friends and colleagues onsite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Give them a chance.

Suju's is a Tri-City staple, and I decided to stop by this Union City location in the afternoon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As always, the vibe is calm and chill. The shop is very clean and has a nice open front that lets in plenty of natural light, which makes it a great place to relax.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Suju's is also known for selling cool coffee mugs, which is a nice bonus. I usually go for the spinach and feta pastry, warmed up--and I asked the barista to heat it a little extra so it came out perfectly crispy. My vanilla latte came out fairly quickly right after my food order. The service is always friendly, and they have a solid assortment of cookies, pastries, sweets, and sandwiches to choose from. You really can't go wrong here.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Once you step foot inside you are hit with the great smell of coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer other drinks as well as snacks to keep your belly full. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With a vast selection of seating to relax or do remote work this place even has outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The friendly staff takes and makes the orders quickly. The smoothies are made fresh and ice cold. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Local coffee house that feels like home[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been coming to Suju's for the longest time now, and everytime I think of a place to finish my work and be productive, Suju's is definitely the place to go for me. It's not just the environment, but it's also the drinks that they have. They don't just have your basic cup of joe -- they pour a wide variety of beverages that span from classic espresso drinks to matcha lattes, ube lattes, and cold frappes that hit on warmer afternoons. I find that matcha-based options have raving reviews almost like the espresso coffee drinks as well. Recently I got a matcha espresso latte, and while the matcha taste was subtle, the shots still sat bold in my palate. It was balanced, whether you're sipping straight or in a milk-forward drink. The service and hospitality is pretty top-notch as well :) Suju's in Union City has literally been my morning ritual for the longest time now. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The one thing I really commend them for is their steady stream of espresso classics as well as the warm seating and a laid-back atmosphere help it feel less chain and more neighborhood hub, especially if you're popping in to study, chat, or just savor a cup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I liked the iced lavender oat milk latte, the coffee was strong with a hint of lavender. The avocado sandwich on light rye was fresh with crisp veggies but the sauce or the seasoning was too tangy for me. The Caesar salad was premade, simple but solid with crunchy lettuce and a good amount of parmesan. The chocolate croissant though, wasn't that great. I asked for it to be warmed up, but it still came out cold with the chocolate hard inside, so I didn't enjoy it. The iced matcha latte with honey was also lighter than I expected not as earthy as the matchas I usually get, so I'm not sure if the matcha mix itself is sweetened or not as concentrated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is nice, lots of students with laptops, hanging out and enjoying their coffee and the staff is super friendly, which I appreciated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Suju's definitely has its good moments but it can be a bit inconsistent depending on what you order.

This place is located inside of a plaza. It has lots of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we came in on Saturday afternoon, it was busy with lots of people sitting in the seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We waited about 10 minutes for our drinks/pastry because there were other people in line. We got our chocolate croissant and ate that first. It was good, but there wasn't much chocolate inside. The iced matcha was also good, but if you want strong matcha taste it is more on the sweet side than strong matcha flavor. My bf ordered the coffee and said it was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside seating area was huge with lots of tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Many people were sitting drinking/eating and on laptops etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wow this place is awesome! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is so spacious inside, vibes are awesome, service is nice, and price is very affordable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ladies working there were super nice. I got the lavender oat milk latte ($4.84) and I absolutely love the flavor. I would describe it as warm and soothing. Just made a quick stop today but I definitely want to come back here to study. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are so many tables and seats available and it's pretty quiet inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Now that it's been open awhile, I thought I'd refresh my review. This is a HOT spot for students/people in the area. There have been a couple of times I've gone where there was not a single seat open in the entire cafe. I've also noticed that people like to meet here in groups, whether to work, study together, or just for a catchup sesh. The seats next to the outlets go quickly, so much so that it's not uncommon for strangers to sit together at the same table due to lack of availability of space. Be cautious of leaving your belongings unattended, even if you're just going up to order - people can be callous and accidentally (or purposely) take something that's not theirs. The service here is very friendly, and most of their drinks are good. They also offer pastries, premade salads, and sandwiches made to order. It was definitely a smart marketing move to have a Suju's in this location (across from a large high school) as they're always packed!

After three years of countless constant visits to Suju cafe, I can confidently say that Suju Coffee is one of my favorite cafes of all time. When I lived closer to the Fremont location, it was where I spent entire day studying. I visited the Union city location for the first time and it did not disappoint. It never has. I am particularly grateful for everything this cafe offers, the pastries, the coffee, reliable Wi-Fi, accessible outlets and there were days when I had all three of my meals at Suju (studying, eating and filling myself with caffeine in one place.) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setup of the tables, the atmosphere, and the overall space are thoughtfully designed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I am always productive every time I am there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Thornton location felt like home to me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will always choose Suju over any other cafe. I am simply thankful for a place like this. The menu is also not overpriced at all, especially considering everything that the cafe offers. Service wise, it really depends on the person. Some staffs are very good and some are still learning( I assume), so it is totally understandable that the service isn't perfect all the time. Overall it doesn't bother me much.

Amazing display as always great pastry choices hard to resist!

The parking lot was completely full, so you have to be patient with finding a parking spot. It was pretty crowded and because of that, everyone had to self order. Throughout my time there, lots of customers came through, but I received my drink relatively quickly. As for the drink itself, the house mocha was okay, but I'm glad that I was able to try the Hojicha cream! The mocha + Hojicha cream was an interesting combination, but I think I would try their Hojicha Latte the next time I go. They have matcha, Hojicha, and seasonal offerings as well (like their banana cream!). There is a single bathroom (with code), WiFi (spotty sometimes but I was still able to get what I needed done), and a decent amount of seating (depending on time you go) with available outlets. I worked there from 12 to almost closing, and was able to get the table near the window + an outlet! I was truly sat. Overall, I would come again to try a different drink and hope to snag a table to work! If you're able to get a good spot to sit, it's a solid place to be productive. Thanks Lac Coffee!

This is for the Morning Buzz blend whole beans only…read more I ran across the Airborne Roasting stand at the Hayward farmers market, and asked about light roast beans. I was told they only have medium and dark, but the medium tastes pretty light. I asked if the beans were washed or natural, and she couldn't tell me, and wasn't even sure what that was. I should have taken that as a warning that these beans were not the same level as Devout Coffee roasters beans, which is what I usually get. However, since Airborne was cheaper than the beans I usually get from Devout Coffee, I went ahead and bought a pound of Morning Buzz. This morning, I brewed a comparison between the Airborne Roasting Morning Buzz, and my last remaining light roast beans from Devout Coffee, which at that point was several months old, whereas the Airborne beans where freshly roasted. Well, even so, the Devout light roast beans were far superior in taste than the Airborne beans. The Airborne tasted too burnt, and lacked those subtle flavors that make coffee so enjoyable. It was just a one-note band with loud speakers. My recommendation is, if you like a light roast, and sophisticated flavors in your coffee, get something else. I understand a lot of people do enjoy the burnt flavor (Starbucks, anyone?), but I wish they wouldn't have told me the medium roast tasted like a light roast: it doesn't. Note: in the end, with lots of sugar, lots of milk, and some heavy whipping cream, I was able to have a nice cup of coffee-flavored sweetness.

I'm a huge fan of really strong coffee flavor / pistachio lattes, so I definitely had high expectations going in. The prices are pretty steep for lattes - with specialties at $8-9 a latte, so hopefully they're making their syrups in house... not sure, but definitely wish I asked! As it's a Monday afternoon in the middle of the work day, there was no line at all & the drinks came out pretty quickly. We ordered the biscoff and pistachio latte -- from first glance, they were suuuper milky, which sounds silly because duh, lattes are majority milk, but it really dilutes the taste of the espresso & makes the drink mainly taste like sweet syrup. Unfortunately, these drinks are not very strong at all :/. I'm sure you can customize your drinks, but as they come, they are extremely sweet! The initial sip of the biscoff latte tastes the most like its name sake, but after a while, it just tastes like your run of the mill vanilla latte. The pistachio latte on the other hand has a slight pistachio / floral taste to it, but it really doesn't have all that strong of a taste to it either. Overall, I wouldn't say that the lattes are bad, but they're just alright, especially for what you pay for. I think if I returned, it would be to try a couple of the huge assortment of cakes they offer, but probably not for the drinks -- but def recommend trying it for yourself, as always!
