Reviewed update, I've been here a few times now! I can confidently say these are the best bagels in Fremont; because I have tried ALL the bagels in Fremont These are made the correct way; boiled and baked! The texture is correct. Harder on the outside and soft on the inside. Also service has always been lighting fast!

Jalapeño cheese with cream cheese, $5

I lived here nearly my entire life and went to the high school nearby... yet I did not even know this place existed until this morning when I was craving a bagel. ORDERED: jalapeño cheese bagel with cream cheese. The top with the cheese was so crunchy. The bagel overall was nice and chewy. I appreciated that they did not plaster on a ton of cream cheese (even though one would complain it's not worth the $). Total cost: $5 ***they whip all their cream cheeses by adding milk*** SERVICE: friendly and quick. Direct and straight to the point with no small talk. AMBIENCE: there are tables and chairs. Once in a blue moon workers do stick around enjoying their food and pre-brewed coffee. Very typical donut shop vibes (except they don't have donuts). Located in now a vacated Lucky/Albertson plaza with Starbucks, bakery, etc. nearby; therefore, a rarely full large private parking lot with well sized spots. If I'm ever craving a bagel, I am so tempted to return and purchase a variety. Generally speaking, I find it strange how no one no longer offers smoked salmon as an option :(

Bagel sandwiches are definitely underrated in my opinion. My husband was looking for a quick bite for breakfast after playing basketball and ended up finding this spot thanks to Yelp. The plaza was a ghost town but the cafe was surprisingly busy. There were a lot of customers coming in and out. I think it is a local mom and pop shop since I noticed a bunch of aunties in the back making sandwiches, and they looked so cute! They have so many different bagel flavors, but he ended up getting a jalapeño cheese bagel with egg and sausage. I took a couple of bites and it was really good. The perfect amount of bread to egg/sausage ratio. The entire sandwich could've been a little bigger given that it was almost $10. Also, loved the friendly staff and fast service!

I used to go to this place when I was a kid living in Fremont. We just called it "bagel shop" and we would always come by for lunch with a hangover after Saturday School (the penalty for truancy at MSJHS). This morning, I revisited it, and it has not declined one bit. I always used to get the turkey club on a jalapeno cheddar bagel, so I did again, and I wanted to cry because it was exactly as good as I remembered it being when I was 17. I will try the nova lox next time. My friend got it, and it looked great.

I live walking distance but I haven't been in awhile because I had 2 dental surgeries- teeth pulled and couldn't eat bagels. I decided to try today since it seems all healed. Their bagels are the best , today I got a few of my favorite ones and I saw a pumpkin bagel. Omg team pumpkin bagel & their homemade blueberry cream cheese with it, tastes like a dessert in a bagel. Definitely a game changer! Tops the charts !!!

Cozy mom and Pop shop for bagels and breakfast sandwich sandwiches. They used to sell donuts, but not anymore. Super popular during peak breakfast and lunch hours amongst local residents, students, and police officers. I stopped by once in a while for a quick sandwich and will almost always see an officer enjoying a meal. Not meant for dining in, definitely grab and go.

Delicious! While the line was out the door, I understand why! The quality and flavor of my Nova Salmon was amazing! Service is on the slower side, and the cashier is one of very few words. I wish he could be a little bit friendlier, but perhaps it's stress from the long line.

Everything bagel + low fat cream cheese
    Angel H.

It was so insanely good. The everything bagel was crunchy and savory, and the low-fat cream cheese was surprisingly really good. The service was fast, and I could see them putting fresh bagels in the over in the back. I loved the vibes in there.

It was Finals week, and i had finished my final quite early. "May i please go to the bathroom?" Once excused i ran as fast as i could to my car, started the engine, and drove off to none other than our local Bagel shop tucked away in the same plaza as Starbucks. I quickly ordered my bagel along with the guy in class that sits behind me one as well. As soon as i could i jumped back in my car and headed straight back to class, no questions were asked, and i did it all within 15 minutes. This was the go to spot in high school as this small, fast pace, and efficient bagel shop was perfect for a little pick me up meal. My most recent order was a cheese bagel with extra cream cheese, eggs, and bacon had me wishing upon a star. I used to be a smoked salmon bagel girl, and was never disappointed as the fresh salmon was smooth and easy to swallow. The salmon taste did not overpower the plain cream cheese nor the lemon cappers that come included with the bagel sandwich. The only one complaint I've ever had for this shop would be the one occasion i ordered a salmon bagel, but was misheard and got the number 7 bagel which left me extremely displeased as it was a combination i couldn't even remotely try and enjoy. Overall i do believe this is the place you should give a try for all your brunch breakfast and lunch needs.

    Bacon, egg, and cheese croissant
    Beau G.

Small little bagel shop (only 2 four person tables) that makes classic style sandwiches with them and also carries a variety of cream cheeses. You can also get croissant sandwiches too. Not overly awesome or anything, but it's really solid. Bagels are always soft and fresh and they toast them perfectly. The decor of the place is stuck in the 80's however. Charming if you are into that kind of thing.

Wow!!! This is a Legit 5 Star Breakfast Sandwich and Donut Shop in the heart of Fremont…read more I love their breakfast sandwich in a croissant or even on a bagel. We ordered the famous hotlink sausage, everything sandwich and it is all great. The highlight of their breakfast sandwich is that you can customize your egg whether sunny side up or scrambled egg unlike the other typical store that only offers super soft, soggy and or microwaved scrambled egg and that for me is a no no. Here you will enjoy your sandwich with all freshly cooked ingredients. Their bread like croissant, bagels and donuts are made and freshly baked everyday. As you walked inside the store, you will mesmerized with all the freshly baked goodies that you can't resist. Coffee is just a plain brewed coffee and nothing fancy but it is real coffee anyways. The staff/owner is so friendly and accomodating,He is so patient with my questions since it is my first time there. I will definitely come back and try their other deliciois baked goodies for sure. You may pay them thru cash, venmo or zelle as well so that is so convenient for customers.

My favorite is the maple cinnamon twist, but it sells out FAST. Most popular items do, so get there before 9:00 a.m. for the best selection. Amazing breakfast sandwiches Some of the best bagel sandwiches I've had, especially for the price. Highly recommend the croissant sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. Come prepared Cash and Zelle only. There's a Bank of America ATM across the parking lot if needed. Overall, this place has that true neighborhood breakfast spot feel: great food, fair prices and genuinely wonderful people.

Eggwich Deluxe ($9/3.5*) This is a pretty loaded/heavy bagel sandwich. I got one once on the way to a golf round and I was stuffed most of the day. This ain't no dainty 3 biter Egg McMuffin. Lol. I chose an 'everything' bagel and for some reason that day it was kinda dry and didn't seem like a proper bagel texture. Sure there was a little chew but nothing like a proper bagel should have. To me it almost seemed more bread-like, which was a disappointment. There is a good amount of scrambled egg which is super soft and fluffy. Menu says cheese, spinach, mushrooms and ham. I subbed bacon for ham. I loved the texture of everything as it was so fluffy, soft and quite hot (thermally), so ya just knew it was very fresh, not premade sitting around. But the flavor to me was a bit too bland, the mushrooms, spinach and eggs just tasted like exactly those, with zero seasoning. And I thought maybe the bacon and cheese would add some saltiness but not really. It still was a very filling and nourishing brekkie sandwich, but not one that would make me crave it. Even though I was skeptical on their bagel quality, I gave them another shot. This time a Lox and Cream Cheese on a Jalapeno Bagel ($12/4*). So glad I gave them another whirl cuz this was spot on legit. Bagel this time was warm and chewy without being hard anywhere. Had a legit bagel flavor and the pickled jalapenos that were baked right on the exterior actually had serious zing. A generous smear of super soft cream cheese, a proper stack of silky lox which made every bite so classic and satisfying. Also garnished with sliced red onion and capers which I always love with bagels and lox. I can come back for this every 3-4 weeks or so. Trust. Coconut Chia Pudding ($6/5*) First time trying one of these. I think they soak chia seeds in a slightly sweetened coconut milk, which eventually thickens the liquid to a super soft yogurt-like consistency. Except this has no real dairy. Loved the texture and the sweetness level, just hits my adult palate. I think they may top with different chopped fruits, on this out it was whole blueberries and chopped mango. Imma start getting muliples of this and just stock my fridge, either for a breakfast boost or even as an after dinner dessert. I haven't tried their coffee yet but that can come within time. Still gotta try their Garlic Bagels and another pastry like a Raisin Swirl or Cherry Danish. Welcome to my rotation.

After my half-year in the Bay Area, I frequently find myself craving a good NYC-style bagel, and, while Boichik Bagels hasn't _quite_ cracked the code, they've gotten pretty darn close. Their bagels are delightfully dense and slightly chewy, with a great snap from the crust. They're a little bit heavier than my average NYC bagel, but they've definitely mastered the NYC-style ginormous schmear of cream cheese and/or loaded breakfast sandwich. I've enjoyed their bagels in both sandwich form (huge fan of the whitefish salad with cucumbers and tomatoes for a more protein-rich / substantive meal) and with just a generous helping of cream cheese (of which they have quite a few flavors, including several vegan options). They don't have a _ton_ of bagel flavors, but they do have all the classics. Boichik also has a surprising love for pumpernickel; while the classic pumpernickel is delicious, I'm a huge fan of their pumpernickel caraway salt for a bit of extra herb flavor and savoriness. The staff is friendly and efficient. While there isn't any seating inside, there's a smattering of tables outside or you can always snag a seat elsewhere in Town & Country.
