I love this place, every time I go in they are super nice and treat the customer very well. I know what I like in a beer and what I dont. They have some amazing limited edition beers and always help me find something that I like. I have been going here for over a year, and prefer this place, though small, to binnys and a lot of other places. The owner is nice, the staff is friendly and jestful and the prices are good compared to the large stores. If you are looking for PBR then this isnt the place for you. Cute shop with friendly staff. Dog friendly and have a good selection of wines and craft beers at reasonable prices. They have tastings on Wednesday and Friday too. It's nice to have right around the corner, as they clearly have a better wine selection than Rothchilds, but they don't blow my socks off. I understand as a new business they can't offer the same prices large chains do, but my understanding doesn't negate the fact that I'm not willing to overpay for my booze. Noble Grape is a great little local wine/liquor store. They have a lot of relationships that help them acquire products you can't get everywhere so it's always worth asking the employees there what is interesting and they can point you in the right direction. It also helps to ask what they have coming in soon because the good stuff goes fast. This place becomes even more valuable because it is located in a an area with a ton of BYOB restaurants so pick up a bottle or six pack and walk on over to Ruxbin or any of the other local BYO joints and enjoy. read more

I signed up as a Yelp member just so I could review this AWESOME wine shop. When they opened this summer I was so excited to have such a nice shop dedicated to good wines at good prices. If you are a bargain wine shopper, they have a bargain tower in the center of the store where you'll find their favorite selections for $9 - $12. If you're in the mood for more expensive bottles, they have that, too! Unlike other reviews I've seen, they always seem to be open when I walk by. I pass the shop in the evenings on my commute home and whenever I go out to eat in the neighborhood. And with wine tastings every 3-4 days and a chill, knowledgeable staff, this is my go-to place for my bottle a week. read more

Noble Grape is around the block from my house and I'm in there at least once a week. I dig the friendly service and excellent selection and refuse to shop anywhere else. The staff their knows their booze and is always helpful when you don't know exactly what you're looking for. Milan, the dude who does all their ordering, is the man. He started carrying both Two Brothers Heavy Handed IPA and Green Flash IPA upon my request. You ain't likely to find that level of service at Dominick's. The staff is super friendly, and they have affordable wine, which is great because there aren't too many other places in the neighborhood. So, listen, this place is great. I've had a couple friends that have worked here and I know for a fact that they know what they're talking about. They have a lot of affordable and delicious wine and also a lot of awesome individual bottles of local beers and microbrews for sale. The absolute ONLY reason they are getting 4 stars is because Lush is literally a block away and Lush has food. I'm so sorry, Noble Grape - I will always come here to BYOB to Butterfly, but if I want to go to the same place for wine and snacking, I will have to go to Lush. read more

Not bad, this joint is. :) A ton of good and many off-the-beaten-path wine, liquor and beer selections, plus more. Came in with friends and left with a large beer by recommendation. I'll say I wasn't in love with the beer. I let the worker pick for me. Maybe he thought I would want a beer that is super sweet, and mine ended up being good but too syrupy for my taste. HOwever, they have a very good selection. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a good pick or wants to venture to try something new. read more

Exciting addition to the neighborhood! Seems like forever since this place began to set up shop, but they've finally opened. The people working there during our visit were very friendly, helpful, and informative. I agree with an earlier review that most bottles seem to be in the $10-$20 range. We left with 3, and I can't wait to try them! Some of the racks looked a bit empty, so either they had a busy weekend, or they're still waiting for more arrivals, maybe. I also like their hours of operation. I hope they stick around! It's a bit of a pisser that another wine store appears to be opening soon on the very next block. About as strange as the 2 Cuban restaurants next door to each other a block west on Chicago Ave. I will definitely be back...especially if their recomendations were good! read more

this wonderful gem is a block away from my house and also on my way home from work. needless to say i end up there at least once a week. it's a small, cozy shop with a great selection and at super affordable prices. the first time i went in here was when i was shopping for a gift. I found the perfect pinot which was also organic. PLUS! they also sell J.K.'s scrumpy hard cider which is my favorite adult beverage of all time. AND it's only $6 a bottle here. 22 oz of pure gold...like literally. last month, i'm pretty sure i cleaned them out of their shipment. it's THAT good! as in if i could only drink one thing for the rest of my life, THIS WOULD BE IT! now onto my favorite...the sparkling wines aka champagne. they have a blanc de blanc that's only 9 bones and a delightful spanish cava that is only 13. now that's a steal! if you haven't been to the noble grape, i highly suggest dropping by if you are in the neighborhood. great selection of beers/wines and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! this place my little piece of heaven on earth :) read more

Awesome store with a fantastic selection. The staff here are really nice and helpful without being in your face at all. Lots of great wines in the $15 dollar range and only a couple blocks away from Ruxbin, my favorite BYOB. They also have a very good beer selection. This store is set up really nice and I just love browsing because there are lots of wines I've never seen before. They are also open late and and have chilled bottles of almost everything available if you are on your way to dinner. In every way this place is pretty much perfect. read more

When I need some help choosing a wine, they give me just that. When I want to be left alone to browse the pretty labels all by myself, they give me that too. I still had some preening to do before our BYOB dinner, so when Mister arrived, I sent him down to Noble Grape on his own. He came back twenty minutes later, eyes slightly glazed, saying, "I think I'm drunk." They are not shy about offering tastes. I hope Lush's new location half a block away doesn't hurt their business. Sure, Lush has a larger selection, but I've never had a problem finding something from Noble Grape that I love. As long as they keep providing me with that Zinfandel with the eagle on the label, and employees who will know exactly what wine I'm talking about when I say that, I have no desire to stray. read more

Incredibly awesome shop. Went to grab some wine to bring to a BYOB sushi joint around the corner. I am a wino but hardly a connoisseur. The staff was knowledgable and the selection was out of this world. I wanted to try everything, but settled on an expensive pinot noir by Owen Roe and a moderately priced bottle of Botani. Whenever I go I pick up this amazing white wine called Ranga Ranga for just $14. It was recommended to me by one of the sales guys awhile ago and I'm now addicted to it. i LOVE the noble grape. the people are nice, and dont have an additude you might expect from a wine shop. they are happy to help you and find out what your taste buds desire. their prices are extremely reasonable and clearly marked. nothing about this place makes me intimidated that i am not an aficionado. You can get a cold bottle of champagne for under 10 bucks that looks super fancy or a fine malbec. the distributors do the tasting so the people change, but always have a smile. i look forward to going to the noble for beer and wine needs again and again. oh-they also have everything cold if you ask and even do deliveries!!!! read more

We love this place! The owners and other staff are super knowledgeable about all of the wines in the store and are always available to help you make an informed choice. If you are interested in learning more about wines or just feel like a quick taste...every Wednesday and Friday, there are tastings. We went to one where wines from Italy were being sampled - we learned so much and we left with a few really great bottles. Also, sign up for their emails and learn of their featured wines. Also, they have a points system so for every bottle you buy; you earn points that allow you to save in the future! This has become our go-to spot for wine. Side note - they also have beer! read more
